not planned SADL symbols on the TGP

They are there on the real thing (I heard). And it would help a lot with blue on blue etc.

I'm pretty sure I have seen them in DCS as well (green Xs on the TGP when looking at friendlies).

Yeah, so long as the vehicle has EPLRS enabled (under Advanced Waypoint Options -> Perform Command -> EPLRS and make sure the checkbox is ticked).

 

So long as that's on, I can see the green 'x' symbol over friendlies on the TAD, TGP and HMD.

To be fair any updates to the TGP we’re never announces as part of v2.  adding TAD symbology was though so hope that doesn’t change/disappear.

What’s the point of a wishlist section if nothing but what is already planned will make it in?

People can wish for F-22 or F-35 or Su-57 but doesn't mean it will happen. Sucks as it is, just take this for now and hope something changes in the future.

The point of the wishlist is for community to express their wishes (surprising, isn't it), but it's ultimately up to ED to determine if those wishes are firstly realistic for the module, can they implement it (legally or with technical limitations in mind) and also how many man-hours it it going to take so they have to see if it's feasible.

 

Noone like to work without being paid to do so, so implementing a lot of new stuff to the older module it not financially good decision.

Well, almost all planned features are delivered, except the new radio IIRC, so we got what they wanted. The rest is purely up for them to decide to see if any other new features are feasible

If you think adding existing symbology from the HMD to the TGP is on the same level as an F-22 module, I don't know what to tell you.

Not seeing that the TAD updates here. Am I missing something or was it posted somewhere else? If it was, then ofc we should get them, but if it were just rumors and nothing confirmed then I can't complain that they won't be made.

There could be reasons outside of ED's control that prevent them from modelling it in DCS at the moment. It says "not planed" but it is also not an outright "NO" either. Perhaps ED despite having a contract with the USAF for the A-10C. Probably isn't allowed to model the TAD DL symbology form a reason that is unknown to us. Perhaps this reason is also a secret ED can't divulge to us.

Ah, yes, I remember this tune all too well. I remember when people used this to justify the inaccurate Gau-8 dispersion. Or the inaccurate flight model. Or the missing JDAM options. It was never true. Is it possible that ED can't model all the functions of the datalink? Certainly. Is it likely that the same symbology can only be shown on one display and not on another due to some kind of ITAR issue? Not particularly likely.

Indeed disappointing that no tad updates Bing done because even dcs a10c 1.0 was never complete with TAD features it was supposed to have. And yet for me having a more fleshed out tad was something I was hoping for for dcs a10c 2.0 

So yeah somewhat disappointed.

 

Even having pre planned sam threats 8s too much to ask, which is something the f16 and f18 have never minding the fact thet their datalinks show air threats as well.
