Blacknemisis Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Before we see jets in DCS there will be another Ice age lol! Just play Open Falcon thats all I need and I will buy BS just for a change in pace.
159th_Viper Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Hell Yeah! You might not like the first Instalment.......or maybe even the third or fifth........but if you are waiting for a Fast-Jet then you should feel an obligation to at least lend your support to the cause.....and moral just won't cut it........Financial is where it's at! crazysundog Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Support ED now so you can have jets LATER!
deviletk Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Ofcourse i'll buy. All of the modules as they give so much detail. Will look awesome after a couple of years in my "sim-shelf". And the diversity of flyables...! Ofcourse i'll by em all. ;) Regards Alex "Snuffer" D. AMD FX8350 (8 core) 4.1GHZ ::: 8GB Dominator 1600mhz ::: GTX660 2GB ::: 2xHD ::: 24" ASUS
badaboom Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 I'll be gladly purchasing the Black Shark and the other known future projects,I'm very much looking forward to Helo Urban combat,pop-up and attack, hiding, dodging convoys behind buildings and other structures.....this is going to be FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ED Team Glowing_Amraam Posted October 10, 2008 ED Team Posted October 10, 2008 Make sure sites like Gamespot do a good review of it, or even a preview, as that site is the most visited gamesite of them all ;) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgJRhtnqA-67pKmQ3A2GsgA ED youtube channel https://www.facebook.com/glowingamraam My facebook page
Kula66 Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 I'll buy it in the hope it'll help the development of a jet ... but slow helicopter v stupid AI, no thanks.
SuperKungFu Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 appearance of jets in DCS depends from commercial success/fail of BlackShark - so if you don't buy it - you make it less successful and get less chances to get jets... Well said indeed. Even though I beta tested it, I'm still going to buy it to support Eagle. Especially during these hard global financial crisis, we need to help the companies we love. BBQ Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Also I have a feeling that BS will take online coops to a whole new level, similar to ArmA and that will help to build and develop a healthy, populated online environment so it'll be there ready and waiting for when we're flying fighters. Wait until you figure out the Datalink in coop--very cool bit of kit. So much fun sending targets to others, and receiving.
BBQ Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 I'll be gladly purchasing the Black Shark and the other known future projects,I'm very much looking forward to Helo Urban combat,pop-up and attack, hiding, dodging convoys behind buildings and other structures.....this is going to be FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Geez--I've got countless hours in the beta, and I'm so far from being able to do most of the things you mentioned! Okay, I can probably do a pop-up attack--but dodging convoys and hiding around buildings--not in my forseeable future! Just wanted to reply about how hard (and therefore rewarding) it is to master this helo. A tribute to the realism of flying this beast. :book: Don't expect to be doing those things for a long time after installation! (Unless you tone down realism settings!)
104th_Crunch Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 I will buy Black Shark to support ED but I will wait to spend the majority of my time in DCS when they come out with a fast mover. I am really looking forward to one. Su-27 please and I'll add R77s, coke and fries to that order. large size it!

-Skipper- Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 I feel uncomfortable exposed above treetops. Yes, I'm an old rotorhead and I will buy BS for sure, but I'm even more looking forward to the Hind- and Apache-Modules and I'd give a real money for the Kiowa. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Esac_mirmidon Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 We have a real miitary helicopter pilot in our squad. Maybe with his support i can learn faster to master the beast.... leafer Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 Well, yah! Doh! Of course people here will buy BS. If you want to gauge consumers' interest then may I suggest Frugalsworld? ...in the F4 thread perhaps? :D Here's there news excerpt regarding BS -- very quickly in Microsoft Sam's voice. "A couple of days ago, Wags posted a small update about the progress of Black Shark" Now! If it had been about "precious" in James Earl Jones booming voice. "Kneel thy knights and nobles airmen! A few adorable days ago, God and his seven angels ascended from heaven to announce a small but rather splendid update concerning the progress of our beloved Ef Four Ef Four Ef Fourr...!" lol Mod. Feel free to delete me from my misery. ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P

A tribute to the realism of flying this beast. :book: Don't expect to be doing those things for a long time after installation! (Unless you tone down realism settings!) This is a big reason why I want DCS: BS. I wanna jump into the Kamov and be like "I thought you guys said flying this thing was hard?" :D Ok, so if I'm NOT a natural, I'm still looking forward to an aircraft that takes skill just to fly. The first time I finally "got" the Su-25T in FC was an amazing feeling. It was like one moment I was flying a bathtub, the next, whistling death! I'm going to be able to fly that thing in my sleep before I move on to the next DCS module!
deviletk Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 I feel exactlly the same RT :) This is what separate us from the normal gamers. Those of my friends that dont understand why i "play" something i cant even master for a long time, they play the simpler entertainment. I try to explain just what you said RT, about those moments when you start "getting it" and how rewarding that is. Everytime you understand a new system (weapons, navigation, ECM etc etc) the sims just get funnier and funnier, and you get better and more deadlier... And i love flying jets for sure, love it, but for the first time ever i will be able to master (or try to master heh) a full bread got damn attack helicopter, and i sure wont let that opportunity pass me by! :) Regards Alex Regards Alex "Snuffer" D. Ferocious_Imbecile Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Will you buy BS or you´ll wait to a DCS Module with a Su or MIG or... I'm thinking that the nature of this sim with it's vast and detailed campaign scenarios will make the helicopters perhaps the best vehicle for actually examining everything that's going on in the battlefield. That's assuming of course that the dynamism and detail of the battlefield will be in themselves exciting and interesting.
Canada Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 I don't know for how much time I've been looking for a helicopter simulator, I sure as hell ain't gonna wait for a jet. :) Helicopters fly.
rapid Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 (edited) I love helo's im not really into jets bring on the Longbow woohoo. I really want to feel the turbulence with my joystick. im going to buy a cyborg force feed back joystick and buy the x52 pro and use the thruster only. you cant play a helo sim without feel the force. nemises Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 Been gagging for a good heli sim since LB2 I think I'll buy 2 copies of BS just for the hell of it...(maybe I can fool one of my non flight sim mates into getting addicted)
Teapot Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 ... Now! ROFLOL! Hiya there Leafer, I knew a Leafer once in AH (I think it was Aces) ... Anyhoot, thnx for the laugh. Cheers, Teapot aka Rip Van Winkle, because I 'slept' through the entire LoMAc +FC + IL2 series and am only now beginnning to catch up again ... :joystick: Doh ... nearly forgot, of course I'll buy! Who wouldn't? "A true 'sandbox flight sim' requires hi-fidelity flyable non-combat utility/support aircraft." Wishlist Terrains - Bigger maps Wishlist Modules - A variety of utility aircraft to better reflect the support role. E.g. Flying the Hornet ... big yawn ... flying a Caribou on a beer run to Singapore? Count me in. Extracting a Recon Patrol from a hastily prepared landing strip at a random 6 figure grid reference? Now yer talking!
muamshai Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 I'll buy it without thinking even once, and I'll promote this game in my signature in various forums. This space is available for your advertisement
BattleMetalChris Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 Mod the FD files so the turboshafts point backwards, the rotors have no drag and the stub wings provide more lift - problem solved! :D
