The Point of this entire Thread. Jeez, I didn't say that. But you must bring proof with official content. Like the S-3B Viking like Draconus did. Then you have a case not with unofficial content. I don't understand why that is so hard. Also, that's why I asked if you have tried with the unoffical community T-45. Because, if that one also have an issue, you have found the problem. There is a problem with mods. You're seriously asking who @IronMike is after five years? Cheers! 3

This is a Heatblur USS Forrestal bug, that manifests itself w/ non-augmented thrust A/C, namely the A-4E-C so close; now add a track and *then* you have a well-documented bug... However, before you do, try uninstalling the A-4EC mod (preferably all mods) and seeing if the speed differential is replicated... like all mods can and DO have very odd impacts; i have seen the A4E-C mod impact other aircraft AI in campaign missions for example ... so start with a clean install of DCS (do a slow repair/ or uninstall your mods via a mod manager) ... and show the bug on a *track file*... then and only then do you have a *well-documented* bug with the Forestal... Stop talking about the A-4E-C because nobody is listening, to a bug that impacts an unofficial mod (how is this so difficult to understand) show it with a native in game S3B and you have a different proposition, albeit unless the S3 goes for a swim then it is less likely to hit the top of a priority list. 2 1 SYSTEM SPECS: Hardware AMD 9800X3D, 64Gb RAM, 4090 FE, Virpil T50CM3 Throttle, WinWIng Orion 2 & F-16EX + MFG Crosswinds V2, Varjo Aero SOFTWARE: Microsoft Windows 11, VoiceAttack & VAICOM PRO YOUTUBE CHANNEL: @speed-of-heat

Already added a track for the A-4E-C, that shows the same thing. This is a USS Forrestal #3 Cat Bug. And the issue is the A-4E-C, regardless of your feelings, because it is the one that goes swimming. And you are? Bowie

ED Team NineLine Posted 12 hours ago ED Team Posted 12 hours ago @Bowie It looks like you have worked hard to collect information on a bug you are seeing, think its better to report in a seperate thread in the bug report section. It will get lost in this thread. Thanks. 1 1 Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**

draconus Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago OK, finally got it. @Bowie was indeed onto something In my previous test I didn't use wind and the carrier did not move - logically, to test just the cat shot speed. It didn't show anything unusual. All cats same speed. But after taking another shot (sic!) with Bowie's settings: carrier speed 18kts into the 15kts wind I was able to confirm the bug on unmodded DCS. @Silhou Please check the tracks. Cat #3 on CV-59 is indeed slower about 10kts in these conditions - it makes fully loaded S-3B tanker or F-14A AI sink just a bit - but they can manage fine.
