TALD's do not draw fire from any enemy SAM's. They are, essentially, dead weight at the moment. Please see attached track files.

It has already been reported several times. Obviously nobody cares. Another patch and it's still broken

I believe once they separate from the pylon they become ED's issue.

We only use talds as provided by DCS, nothing on our side we can do about it unfortunately. Please be so kind and report to ED directly.

Looks like Wags has a working TALD in the Hornet, so I'd wait for the next beta.

Go to Wags to ask about new features and plans, go to Nineline or BigNewy to get on the ground answers. Especially when it comes to 3rd party.

With all due respect to Wags. Exactly two TALDs are defined in DCS' code, both in a file owned and maintained by ED. It's on them.

I've made a few tests with an AI F-14B launcher. These units do aim at TALD's:

• SA-10
• SA-15
• Patriot
• NASAMS

While these never do:

• Roland
• SA-2
• SA-3
• SA-5
• SA-6
• SA-8
• SA-11
• SA-19
• Hawk

Interesting, it's like the most advanced systems, which should perhaps be least fooled by it, are the only ones that react. Now that TALD for the Hornet is done, I hope that code can be used so they both work the same.

So its looks like from todays patch that Heatblur will be switching to ED's tald next patch for the F14 to fix this issue from what I can infer

Note 1: Please note that the TALD used by the DCS: F/A-18C Hornet is different from the one developed by Heatblur for their F-14. Heatblur will be using the TALD developed for the Hornet, but this task was not complete in time for this Open Beta, but it should be available for the following.

The TALD has always been EDs code.  And it's why it magically works again, right now in OB, without HB having done anything.

Did test it this morning, and yup TALDs work as intended. Tested against SA-2 and SA-10
