So are we not getting any of the other features such as TAD symbology, HMCS symbology, etc. that are missing? Datalink for non AI flights?

At a minimum I hope they fix the TAD symbology.  The biggest issue is the Player vs AI differences.

(SADL/L16 GATEWAY would be nice too.)

In previous news letters they said they were going to add it along with some other stuff like the ALQ-184 long, and they implied there would be more features to come when they talked about doing a road map but now they completely changed their stance and they said they will only add the ARC-210. Its pretty disappointing that they are taking features off the list.null

I hope they will also resolve the NVG and HMCS. The symbols are green when using NVGs it's inacurate because the HMCS glass is between the eye and the NVG.

The HMCS symbology should not be affacted by NVGs

I never understood why the datalink floating rings didn't extrapolate velocity. It looks so bad that they flicker from position to position.

Very frustrating that we don't even get the limited info we get from AI aircraft from client aircraft.  Based on things Bignewy has told me when I asked him though I am not expecting it.  I think we'll get the ARC-210 and that'll be it.  He said if it's not listed on the product page it isn't promised (even if mentioned in a newsletter).

It would just be nice if ED could finally give us a clear answer of what is planned to be implemented, instead of just leaving us with this question to speculate.

I know ED already got my money, so there obviously is no rush for them to act. Nevertheless it would just be nice if the promise of improving communication with the community would actually be uphold. And yes i know that the commnunity managers are also not blessed with infinite wisdom of what is going on at ED and in the end are basically just the messengers, but overall the sour taste of an attitude somewhere in the realmsof "The customer will always be our b*tch" has remained over the years.

I'm affraid that you will have to be more patient, Wags stated that the Data Link will be implemented after the other jets were up to date.

Actually what he said is they are considering adding it later (although it’s the TAD not TADS in the A-10C)

Which is exactly why I wish ED wouldn’t say things like that (similarly to when they initially mentioned updated TAD and 184 long in a newsletter January 2021).

The Hawg is already nearly complete, but we do plan to deliver some additional features in 2021 that include the ARC-210 radio, updates to the Tactical Awareness Display (TAD), changes to optically guided Maverick slewing, and the long version of the AN/ALQ-184 ECM pod.

Well... we´ve got the 184 long... let´s hope the interest on this feature is piqued.

I really would be happy just having the same SADL/L16 interface than the actual version has with AI but with clients. Or just a statement of ED just saying "hey! we're working on that, we´re doing something better but progress is slow"

I'd argue that the lack of all the real world TAD functionality is the biggest limfac the A-10 has right now. I'd much rather have a fully functional TAD than extra link features. Pilots can fly without working EPLRS all the time. Not having a TAD is a way bigger hit to their SA.
