Yep, same here.  Just did some test missions and Alternator warning light for Alt-2 came on rather quickly.  Tried several different things and could not get it restarted.

Same thing happening to me repeatedly.  Cruising at FL20 and above at .8 mach.  Obviously, the Developers know about this.  Was wondering whether any of you were able to get alternator restarted?  I've dived down to lower altitude, like FL15, speed up to mach '8+, wait for a while then turn back on alternator.  Alternator still shows caution.

Nope, never:

Also I tried everything to reset the Alt2, including a complete aircraft shutdown and restart after landing, but the Alt2 was not willing to come back alive.

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

Tried to follow the chart from the manual @QuiGon posted, but I must misread it somehow.

Anyway, been cruising for hours on different maps lately. As lonf as a stay around 15K feet, and 389 Knots, I can go on for hours. 2.5 In the Caucasus. 3.5 in Syria. While after 500 Knots at 26K from Kerman to Shiraz had number 2 fail after 5 minutes, number 1 lastet for four more hours flying around at 15K, 380.

Obviously, I have no tracks. 😊

Happened to me today as well, crusing at 26k at 300kts, so well outside of the parameter of Syria. It failed for both my wingman and me in the same moment

Has there been any forward motion on this issue? At the moment, the module has kinda been grounded for me since this is something that actively interferes with normal mission requirements. Hopefully this is something we see a fix for in the next Open Beta patch since I am eager to really start flying it.

Looking good. Had a quick flight at around 40.000 ft only 240 kts IAS. After a couple of minutes, alt. 2 light came on. Descended to around 32.000 ft, reset alt.2 and had no issues after.

Hope that this version will be transported to DCS stable soon.

Hello.

I encountered this bahvior for trhe first time on a flight yesterday wasn't doing anything particularly out of the ordinary (15k feet 500kts) when suddenly had all sorts of warnings turn on lost my hud and radar.

Is this really fixed and how do you mitigate this when it occurs ?

Which version of DCS do you have?

Same here. Had ALT 2 fail on me twice yesterday. Changed the flight conditions (descent, acceleration) and was able to successfully reset ALT2. Twice.

Had ALT1 fail later, too. Changing the flight-conditions yielded a successful reset as well.
