Ebphoto Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 A few pics from various missions flown at various times! This is a fantastic module and you get a good bang for your buck! 4
kontiuka Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 Just noticed this. The more weight on the plane, the more bulge in the tires. 7
Jonay Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 Until someone does a proper Jaguar, this'll have to do. 1
Vibora Posted July 21, 2024 Posted July 21, 2024 Nice video! Txs! Good flying and good music! Roberto "Vibora" Seoane Alas Rojas [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

grim_reaper68 Posted July 21, 2024 Posted July 21, 2024 Very nice video! But opening the chute before landing is not recommended

But Polish/Russian/Swedish/Hungarian/Czech Air forces fly a bit sharper. No offence. It's (DOL) standard operating procedure for short landings. DOL - Drogowy Odcinek Lotniskowy (Road Air Strip roughly speaking). Watch and learn: Varius Air Forces. Edited July 22, 2024 by 303_Kermit 1
grim_reaper68 Posted July 22, 2024 Posted July 22, 2024 Ok thanks for the feedback of this standard procedure in other countries. In France it's not in the landing procedure as far as I know.
Loukuins Posted July 22, 2024 Posted July 22, 2024 Yup French Air Force never used that ever in the Mirage F1, you need to be VERY gentle with the Landing, 300ft/mn 157knots (if above 11t), 135knots on touchdown with 8.7t My Setup : i5-4690 3.50GHz + 24GB RAM DDR3 1600MHz + MSI RTX 2060 Super Ventus OC + 2 SSD + 4 HDD + Oculus Rift CV1 + TM T.16000M Hotas Super Etendard for Life !

Salute. I remember "Patroulie the France" in Deblin in Poland. I was there. Biggest formation, great show. Beautiful Alpha Jets. As for Mirage F-1CE. During early preparations to fly module (first 2 months - various manuals reading, gathering informations, learning cockpit layout) I noticed, that drag chute deploy speed (210kt) is bigger than landing speed (~150-170kt), also there is some well made, double wheel main gear, soooo.... My first thought was how about trying to land it just as I did my MiG-21bis? It works and it's way easier to perform here, than on "21", where landing speed is 360kmh, td 330kmh, and chute deploy 320kmh. As for landing - it looks rough, but precisely performed is quite soft and provides some advantages by landing on unprepared RWY: -precise flare performed at bit higher speed (and on opened throttle) allows to go around even in very last moment. -provides bigger safety margin during DOL landings. (shorter decc., go around available until very last moment) -after td plane immediately "glues" to the ground, unlike during normal landing. -no risk of "baloon" or "bounce landing" ... looks cool, and cpt. Pit "Maverick" Mitchell can't do that disadvantages: -requires more practice, and experienced pilot -however gives bigger error margin, it also means, that error will be more destructive. -surely not for every pilot and not for every plane -not recommended by cross wind. Requires good weather conditions Edited July 22, 2024 by 303_Kermit 2
