Blaze1969 Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 Not sure what else to say other than when I try to taxi at Paphos AB Syria ( have not tried others) the jet shutters gear collapse or explodes after adding power and starting to taxi, It's frustrating.
Blaze1969 Posted October 30, 2022 Author Posted October 30, 2022 User error, looks like it's tied to control locks they need to be released or it will occur. Perhaps a bit drastic but posted in case others have same occurance. 1
McRuffen Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 I've had the aircraft randomly "hit invisible bumps" during taxiing, causing just minor bumping, nose gear damage or even complete explosion of the aircraft, without the control lock on. It has happened at many different airports, and also after landing. It just seems to be randomly happening. 1

Explosion after landing happened to me, too: 1) I could not enable the NWS (this seems to be an issue) and I slowly drifted to the right of the runway when below rudder authority speed 2) I exploded once I stopped using the brakes (I might have had the right main landing gear outside the runway) Edited October 30, 2022 by Tusky

All of that happened to me as well. I even had NWS break on me on lgd rollout. Had to use NWS, because the rudder is useless in any kind of crosswind when below touchdown speed. 1 So ein Feuerball, JUNGE!
Burning_Daylight Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 (edited) No, it's not user error. I've had it explode a multitude of times with control lock disengaged. Several times it was at the beginning of taxi, and at least twice it was while taxiing very slowly. And I mean VERY slowly. One time it was just as I was turning on the runway from a complete stop. Moved about a foot before the explosion, so didn't even have time to go fast. Most of the time I get that heavy breathing effect before the screen goes dark...and then: blammo. As someone else suggested, I think it's hitting invisible bumps. But...it could also be a combination of hitting invisible bumps and a sync issue because it's only happened to me online, and so far only on the Syria and Marianas maps. I don't have any tracks because it's only happened online and I don't record or save online missions. But, if you want to see for yourself, you can go into the TTI Syria server, select the MB339, start her up, and...see what happens. Edited October 30, 2022 by Burning_Daylight
Gideon312 Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 I experienced the same problem in our server. Exploded during the first few meters of taxiing out. System: Win11 Pro, X870Pro RS Wifi 7 AM5, AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090, Corsair MP400 SSD (1TB for WIN), Corsair MP700 PRO (2TB for DCS), VR PIMAX Crystal.
Vettefan Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 Same here: Exploded within the first meters during takeoff at night on Nevada map (random, dynamic cyclone weather). Turned wind off (static weather preset) and that solved it somehow for me while keeping all the rest as-is
McRuffen Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 (edited) Here's a track file. Starting at parking space 24 at Mineralnye Vody - I've attached the mission file as well. I've tried taxiing straight ahead to the taxiway and then to the right, out to RWY 30 twice, and both times the pilot experiences random blackouts and then at some point the aircraft explodes. When i replayed the track the plane didn't explode at the end, just had a nosegear collapse, but when I played it live, the entire plane exploded. But the random nose gear jitters and blackouts are there in the replay, at least on my computer. I hope this helps with the debug, because I love flying this plane when I can get it off the ground! richskinns Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 Same issue exploding when cold start from any Cyprus airfield- also collapsing front undercarriage, after initial taxi
Otto pallen Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 mmmh the same for me too, in Caucasus map, Sochi Airport and Kutaisi AFB
gulredrel Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 Kobuleti... dipped a bit through a bump in ramp area and exploded... todays patch DCS/2.8.0.32235

Automan Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 Unfortunately seems that the some of latest changes we made, including static force and damping of nosewheel improvements, were kept out by the update of today. gulredrel Posted November 17, 2022 Posted November 17, 2022 Just did a short flight in current OB 2.8.0.32937. I did not explode, but experienced blacking out at almost the same spot as shown in the picture above while taxiing back to parking. Don't know if touch down was too hard, but don't think so. I did hard braking, that's true, but even if the gear would be damanged, you should not black out taxiing below 10 knots going over a bump. MB-339_20221117_Kob_taxi_blackout.trk 1 1
richskinns Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 Seems a common issue (exploding/and blackout issues) for me across the Syria map airfields on commencing taxiing. I haven't experienced it in other maps though.
gulredrel Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 I think as Caucasus was the first map and doesn't have as much bumps and slopes on taxiways as Syria or other newer maps which will be more accurate in this regard. 1
granspeed Posted November 24, 2022 Posted November 24, 2022 Same Issue in SA as well. See attached trk and miz files. Gianky Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 (edited) It happened to me yesterday online: Georgia at war server, just started taxi out of my stand, turning on the taxiway the nose took a dive and I exploded (in game it was just a big boom, only watching the Tacview track I could see the nose diving inside the concrete). I should have the track saved, if you guys want it, but it's a long one (24 minutes before the incident) and I'm not sure it's gonna be useful. Let me know. By the way, may I ask if you made any progress in identifying the cause? EDIT: I forgot to add, it never happened to me offline in Caucasus (IIRC is the only map in which I used the 339, for now), I played all the training missions, all the campaign and some custom made mission (always starting in Batumi, in these ones). Wacko_ZA Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 So this happened to me on Syria today. Bought the module yesterday. I am completely unable to taxi it after a cold start. Only way to fly it is if i take off hot from the runway. Is there any feedback @Indiafoxtecho?
gulredrel Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 We are all waiting for the patch to arrive. Currently Caucasus and Nevada are relatively save for me. But there are some circumstances I still don't understand, when it is happening. For me the possibility of getting the issue increases when: non-solo, heavy loaded, wobbling the stick with control lock on before taxiing, heavy breaking...

It is known and a possible repair is coming with the next patch. (If I understood correctly, they adressed it but are not 100% sure they found the culprit yet) As far as I can tell, it is occuring in pretty random circumstances. Perhaps a bit more in multiplayer than in solo..... In the meantime, take off from another slot and try your luck or start in the air.
