tomcat_driver Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 TPR 439€ vs MFG CW v3 349€ Which one would you choose?
Biggus Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 Crosswinds. Love mine. Also I'll never give TM another cent. 1
Mr_sukebe Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 TPR, and I have both 7800x3d, 5080, 64GB, PCIE5 SSD - Oculus Pro - Moza (AB9), Virpil (Alpha, CM3, CM1 and CM2), WW (TOP and CP), TM (MFDs, Pendular Rudder), Tek Creations (F18 panel), Total Controls (Apache MFD), Jetseat
Eugel Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 I chose the TPRs and don´t have anything negative to say about them, quite the opposite. I never used the Crosswinds myself so I can´t say which are better, but I prefer the pendular mechanics of the TPRs.
Burt Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 TPR for sure ! I don’t like having my feet on the pedals all time the TPR are just perfect. Tinker Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 TPR's were available locally, so I went with those. Happy to upgrade from 10 year old Saiteks. Ended up building a whole new sim around the pedals. On 1/12/2023 at 8:03 AM, Burt said: TPR for sure ! I don’t like having my feet on the pedals all time the TPR are just perfect. I removed the baseplate to mount the pedals into my rig. Dropped them just enough I can go full-foot or just use my toes. 1
BuzzU Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 I owned the TPR's and didn't like them. I don't sit low enough to be at the right angle for the pedal movement. I just ordered the V3's and we'll see how I like those. I actually like my feet on the pedals. Buzz

Biggus Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 Crosswinds have different pedal designs. You don't actually have to have your feet on them all the time.
Slippa Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 Crosswind V3s are solid. I got combat pedals as well as the 109 looking things, toe brakes, hydraulic suspension (extra but fine without it) and I don’t feel robbed a year on. Really well built, easily adjustable, sorted.
tomcat_driver Posted January 15, 2023 Author Posted January 15, 2023 (edited) I received mine on friday. It's incredibly precise and smooth. It can tip over if you have only one foot on. Next up is to upgrade it with shocks and maybe get a different footrest. The universal combat was sold out, so I'd got M109. Overall, pretty happy with it. Flying the apache now is pleasure. silverdevil Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 for those with MFG, what foot rests do you use? i use ME109. not sure they are the best for me. do the other foot rests give any improvement? Lange_666 Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 I use combat style foot rests on my MFG (got them sended over by Milan for testing). The ones i have have a few more fixing holes in them to get the position i wanted. I didn't like the original ME109's. dburne Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 I have been running my Crosswinds since Dec 2015. I retired in April 2016 and have used these things hard on most every day. They are solid as can be and I have been most pleased with them. Added a damper about a year or so ago and that just made already great pedals even a little better. These are the ones i have fitted: As you can compare with those on the MFG website, these have a lot more fixing holes in them. With these i can keep my heels on the floor and use my toes to brake. With the ME1009's i never could find a good setup. Below are the original test pedals i got from Milan, less fixing holes, these where still sitting a bit to high but due to the cutout's (which i really liked) it wasn't possible to lower them. Still have them laying around... PS: just discovered by moving the pedals from under my desk to take a photo: the bolts i used are not of a very good quality, the heads show rust. Guess i snapped the wrong ones from work. Edited January 16, 2023 by Lange_666 Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. Lange_666 Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 (edited) No, i subscribed for a test run on the MFG website. Milan wanted a test group of 30 people in the test run. The first ones i got for testing are the ones with the cutouts. Since i wanted an option to mount them lower, Milan made and send the ones with the 12 fixing holes. I have no idea what the other testers reported or what they got send as test pedals. I see that the ones with the cutouts didn't make into production, and the others i have never tried or seen. Mine don't have the MFG logo either. The ones i have resemble most to the grey ones: I'm also using a modified brake limiter set so i need to put less force on the pedals for braking. I have a set with an extended arm above the upper bolt with more holes for the spring to attach. Milan was so kind to make them on demand after i reported that i wanted to use less power for braking because using combat pedals requires a bit more force under braking compared to the ME109 pedals. I now see on the website that you can get a set of lighter springs instead. Slippa Posted January 20, 2023 Posted January 20, 2023 Oh, another option I just discovered. One minute I’m reading a thread, quite happy with my pedals. Next, I’m counting my pennies and coming up with creative explanations I’ll need for the missus as to why I’ll be ‘needing’ additions. I’m using ‘combat pedals’ similar to the ones Lange pictured. They’re fine. The sturdier ‘109’ fittings are stored away. Flying the Spit, I wouldn’t mind something under my feet that looks the part but until just now I hadn’t given it a lot of thought. I remembered the 3D printed bits from Authentikit and though I haven’t tried any of it I had a look. He’s been a busy boy since I last looked and has Spitfire and Mossie bits. He has rudder pedal attachments for the Spit IX that fit on the MFGs. How well the plastic holds up is beyond me as I’ve not had any of it. I don’t have a 3D printer either. They look the part, I’ll say that. Obviously, not best suited when flying your Hornets or Tomcats. 1
