VirusAM Posted February 5, 2023 Posted February 5, 2023 Probably, as happened with most modules.Only thing we already know is that Baltic Dragon is working on the manual and the training missions 1 R7-5800X3D 64GB RTX-4090 LG-38GN950 N/A Realsimulator FFSB MKII Ultra+F-16 grip+F/A-18 grip, VKB Stecs Max, VKB T-Rudder MKV, Razer Tartarus V2 Secrets Lab Tytan, Monstertech ChairMounts

YoYo Posted February 6, 2023 Posted February 6, 2023 Yes, Im sure too. We have trainings for all modules, even for EA from the beginning, but probably for the beginning stage we will not to have all trainings but part of basic. The number will be increased during the EA progress. imacken Posted February 6, 2023 Author Posted February 6, 2023 It should be that way. I was just asking, as when I bought Razbam's S Atlantic map, there were (and still are) more or less no missions for it despite the fact that there were plenty for all other terrains at initial release. Eaglewings Posted February 6, 2023 Posted February 6, 2023 Baltic Dragon just twitted on the subject of training missions. He was emphasing on making the training missions short for the F-15E 1 Windows 10 Pro 64bit|Ryzen 5600 @3.8Ghz|EVGA RTX 3070 XC3 Ultra|Corair vengence 32G DDR4 @3200mhz|MSI B550|Thrustmaster Flightstick| Virpil CM3 Throttle| Thrustmaster TFRP Rudder Pedal /Samsung Odyssey Plus Headset
imacken Posted February 6, 2023 Author Posted February 6, 2023 That makes sense after the whole Harrier debacle, but I hope he doesn't make them too short and lacking any detail, i.e. training, like the Tomcat ones, for example. 1 Intel i7 12700K · MSI Gaming X Trio RTX 4090 · ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-A Wi-Fi · MSI 32" MPG321UR QD · Samsung 970 500Gb M.2 NVMe · 2 x Samsung 850 Evo 1Tb · 2Tb HDD · 32Gb Corsair Vengance 3000MHz DDR4 · Windows 11 · Thrustmaster TPR Pedals · Tobii Eye Tracker 5 · Thrustmaster F/A-18 Hornet Grip · Virpil MongoosT-50CM3 Base · Virpil Throttle MT-50 CM3 · Virpil Alpha Prime Grip · Virpil Control Panel 2 · Thrustmaster F-16 MFDs · HTC Vive Pro 2 · Total Controls Multifunction Button Box

Scott-S6 Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 Keeping them up to date as the module progresses is the most important thing. When modules hit maturity but the training and manual are now broken that kills it for new players interested in the aircraft. 1
imacken Posted February 7, 2023 Author Posted February 7, 2023 Couldn't agree more. ED do a pretty good job of bringing TMs in gradually as the systems develop, e.g. Viper, Hornet, Apache, but we have all seen examples of large sets of TMs coming on board at the start of some modules and then the systems almost completely changing throughout the EA period. Then, as you say, the issue becomes updating, and that very rarely happens. I guess the important thing is for the basic systems to be reasonably well defined and set at the initial release stage. 1 Intel i7 12700K · MSI Gaming X Trio RTX 4090 · ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-A Wi-Fi · MSI 32" MPG321UR QD · Samsung 970 500Gb M.2 NVMe · 2 x Samsung 850 Evo 1Tb · 2Tb HDD · 32Gb Corsair Vengance 3000MHz DDR4 · Windows 11 · Thrustmaster TPR Pedals · Tobii Eye Tracker 5 · Thrustmaster F/A-18 Hornet Grip · Virpil MongoosT-50CM3 Base · Virpil Throttle MT-50 CM3 · Virpil Alpha Prime Grip · Virpil Control Panel 2 · Thrustmaster F-16 MFDs · HTC Vive Pro 2 · Total Controls Multifunction Button Box
Scott-S6 Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 (edited) Getting everything right first time so that training missions don't need to be changed is the ideal scenario, of course, but how often does that happen? Edited February 7, 2023 by Scott-S6 1
imacken Posted February 7, 2023 Author Posted February 7, 2023 Well, pretty sure a lot of the initial Hornet and Viper ones haven't changed and they are still relevant for new flyers. F-5E as well, I think. imacken Posted February 25, 2023 Author Posted February 25, 2023 Interesting approach by BD. Have to see something more taxing than taxi and take off to form an opinion on his new 'short and sweet' philosophy though. I agree with training missions beeing short, you can replay them often. Also the details are important. I hope they aren't too short and lack details, well for that you have the manual of course but it's nice to have them in these missions also. 1
Chapa Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 Love this format, especially in VR. In game training must be all about operation; quick and focussed. If knowledge and theory is mandatory, it should be done before with dedicated documentation (or page references from the manual) Personnaly, I hate training mission where there are some explanation about the history of the plane, or stuff not directly related to the lesson. For sure, it is interesting but not the goal at this time. Very hyped with the F15, the Razbam work and Baltic Dragon’s new approach. (as a prior developer, maintaining campaigns and mission must be a huge pain. They are very dedicated and passionate for sure) 1 i7 12700k, RTX 3080ti, 64GB RAM, M.2 512Go, Quest 3
