@currenthill will the S350 battery be mobile? This will make it indeed extremely deadly.

As side note... did you managed to get a look into SWE Patriot battery , for which the launchers will not move after they fired ?

Absolutely, check out the short video clip earlier in the thread. It will be fully mobile. 

I have documented the issue, but haven't had the time to fix it. I will go through the Swedish assets and update them one by one shortly.

@currenthill is any chance you could share the skins templates so that I could try build a second version of them to a bit more lower resolution? 

I am using Gimp, and seems you are using the 7th version of BX encoding ... which gimp cannot handle .. so is a bit more complicated to convert them. But I could definitely use the .psd templates to work for some more resource friendly skins....

Hello everyone
Currenthill, I'm starting to design mods (at least I'm trying to), but I get lost easily. I have noticed your mods, especially the Sniper AMR. I have tried to study the .lua and design my own for the description of my mod and its weapons... But DCS doesn't even see it.
Any advice?

When firing missile as Combined arms gunner, it explodes in 0.5-1 second after launch. 

I tested both 1.3.0 and 1.4.0, both S-1 and S-2

Latest Steam OB without no other mods installed

I'm sorry, but my process doesn't include making livery templates available. I create all my textures in SP.

Yep, I've talked about this earlier. DCS limitations, If I want human controlled missile launches I have to simplify the missile type and features too much. So I chose to have more advanced missiles instead, since these are primarily AI assets.

I haven't seen anything about them being fielded on Burkes. I know of the proof of concept tests made like ten years ago, but as far as I know they are only air launched for now.

Creating the vehicle wouldn't be too hard, but I'm not sure how we would implement the thermobaric warhead in DCS.

Do you remember CH's YJ-21 antiship ballistic missile from Type 55 destroyer?

China also have aerial launch variant of YJ-21. (2-staged in reality, but 1-staged sea variant in game test)

Sí, he hablado de esto antes. Limitaciones de DCS, si quiero lanzamientos de misiles controlados por humanos, tengo que simplificar demasiado el tipo de misil y las características. Así que elegí tener misiles más avanzados, ya que estos son principalmente activos de IA.

No he visto nada sobre ellos en Burkes. Sé de las pruebas de concepto que se hicieron hace como diez años, pero que yo sepa, por ahora solo se lanzaron al aire. 

Crear el vehículo no sería demasiado difícil, pero no estoy seguro de cómo implementaríamos la ojiva termobárica en DCS. 

maybe using the parameters of the RN28 and modifying the visual effects. A normal explosion adding a shock wave, but with a soft color and a rate of transparency instead of completely transparent as it appears in DCS?

What have been done:

1) H-6 pylon loadout added

2) YJ-12 trajectory and booster tweaked, aircraft loadout added.

 

Deka and Currenthill didn't give permission to modify their assets, so I can not share files. But I want to buy models of H-6 and YJ-12  ALBM in future. And make small AI-only mod. If no one do it 😉

Thanks for all your hard work. We have a lot of great mods for DCS. Maybe in a future we will see this little boy in a DCS sky?

What a cool mod, that's the quality!

The sound of radars acts on the ears as real, annoying, but it is very realistic
Some ideas for 1.0.1:
- 50N6 rotates too fast, I know that some of videos used as references were intentionally speeded up by the editors. But there are other videos too, showing slower rate
- 96L6 should rotate clockwise and should have a slight inclination towards the sky (3-5 degrees)
