I'm buying the aircraft because I want to fly it. I couldn't care less about additional goodies like miles. I believe you can transfer steam modules to standalone so buying it from the site shouldn't make any difference.

People buy for different reasons. 20 or 30% off won't affect the quality of the experience of flying the aircraft which should be the main reason for buying no?

Do you have a source for that? Never knew that developers could "not participate" at all in the miles program.

What does RAXBAM gain by opting out of the miles program?

More money, since people can't use miles to lower the price

Ok, I wasn't sure who took the loss on the module, for some reason I assumed ED. I should have known better.

Miles or not the $56 price tag seems more than fair to me. It is cheaper than the Mirage and is a model of a much newer air frame.

I think it's a more than fair price. I don't even care that I can't use miles to buy it. But I would really appreciate getting to accrue miles for the purchase.

They get to stay in business and keep people employed. You can't just assume that ED is in the financial position to subsidize miles usage for purchases, and neither can RAZBAM. The 30% discount is more than incentive enough to pre-order. Pre-ordering allows them to take the cash from the advance sales to pay some bills and keep the lights on.

Believe it or not there was a time before "points" or "miles" where people bought modules anyway.

Tell me more about this time before miles? Was it magical? Did you have to hand crank your PC to start it?

You aren't the only one that has been around a while. Miles could be applied without it costing RAZBAM a thing, the miles could be something on ED's side that is used to encourage further purchases from the fan base, especially on older, less popular modules. I simply wasn't sure exactly how the miles program worked on the ED side. I know how it works on mine.

Why can't people pay honestly for honest work that someone else has done? More and more often, wherever I go, everyone asks about discounts, promotions, reductions, some points ... Where are the times when someone performed work, valued it and someone else paid for it? They probably disappeared when banks, insurance companies, AmWay, people like Madoff appeared ... how to earn money to do nothing and have ... and if I have to buy something, it's best that the seller gives it back for free and pays extra. ..

Someone is forcing someone to play DCS? As I wrote, the F-15E could be at full price in pre-sale for me. I would buy it anyway. Anyone feel cheated because they could not use the collected miles? I can give him mine because I don't need them for anything.

I don't understand this world for some 20-30 years...

I think what you wanted to say is not "I couldn't care less about additional goodies like miles" but "I couldn't care less about money to spend because I am moneyboy and I have the MONEY. Now go aside you poor monkeys"

Yes i did preorder the F-15E myself because I want it and I do not have to care about money to spend for DCS. But nevertheless I can understand people having a problem with the F-15E-miles loss.

When you have low income, it is hard to play aside with people who can efford the newest Modules and having the best PC with newest VR Ready eqiuipment and expencive HOTAS.

So if you have the money and the best DCS eqiupment, STFU in discussions that have to do with money problems of other people.

This is the same silly statement, like War thunder player saying "it is okay that the F-5C Paket cost 59,99€ while the P-51D-20 is just 29,99€ because one is just Tier IV while the other is a more modern jet at Tier VI. There has to be a difference in price because reasons".

Interesting fact: RAZBAM has not abandoned the miles program with its 3 other modules.

Interesting fact: F-15E is the only non-"Campaigns created by 3rd parties"-module that does not participating in the ED Miles Program.

The reason? Mathematics.

Excample (Considering ED will give you Miles on the F-15E when it comes in early access)

Full Price:

79,99$

Pre-Purchase Price:

79,99$ * 0,7 = 55,99$ (30% off)

Early Access Price:

79,99$ * 0,8 = 63,99$ (20% off)

(now when you would get ED miles in Early Access you could get + 6399 ED miles that you may spend in other modules later)

=> 6399 ED-Miles ~ 6,40$

=> (79,99$ * 0,8) - 6,40$ = 57,59$

So what is my point?

If you calculate the theoretical difference (57,59$ - 55,99$ = 1,6$) the ED Miles show us what the target price for the product was calculated by the ED sales team and the lowest possible price should not undergo a limit around 56$.

I would never say the price is not okay for a well simulated and detailed DCS module but the problematic point is where they cut out the possibility for everyone who calculated the last investments in DCS like this in ED miles.

In my order history, the last payments was in Black Shark 3, Mig-21, A-10C II, SA-Map and F/A-18C. Without spending ED-Miles, I saved 18.650 (18,65$) for the F-15E and calculated this in all my Received miles. I could have paid all the Black Shark 3 or half of the MIG-21 with that Miles, reassured to know that ED will not loose money in me because they had good salesmen who already calculated my Miles-Investments very well and got prepared for that situation when i will use these Miles.

The conclusion from that is:

Giving the F-15E in Pre-Order without the option for miles to be used is just a way to use the hype to cash out of it in just the hope that the people who did not spend the miles now wont do later because they already got the F-15E and ther may never come a needed module later than.

my prediction is that when people do not point out their problem with this, ED will do this pre-Order-no-miles way with any further module coming.

Therefor the only way to hold up a <profanity>storm is by letting people spend their saved ED-Miles in early access. Therefor only the people who do not care about spending miles already spend 55,99$ in the module and saved 1,6$ difference from ED-Miles Cashback and all the others can spend their Miles for the purchase or saving more of them for upcoming/other modules.

Is anyone forcing you to buy DCS modules? Enjoy the free TF-51 and Su-25 or free community mods. What ED or individual module developers do in terms of sales, miles, pre-sales, early access, etc. is their business. You don't like what they do? Do not buy. It's called "free market" you want to buy - buy it, you think that someone is cheating you, stealing, not giving you what you want - you don't buy. Easy? I bought it for 59.99, if it was for 70 theses I would buy it, if it was for 100 the same. I bought Persian Gulf, Syria, Atlantic, AV-8B, and some other FC3 modules. I never used a mile. Not only that, I only fly the F-15C. Somehow it didn't occur to me to cry that I can't give away modules that I don't use. Once again - if someone doesn't like something, don't buy it - you can always play "for free" in WarThunder, World of Warplane, etc. What's all the crying about?

I would appreciate it if you didn't decide what my motives were when I bought the product or whether I earn alot of money or not. You are free to express your own personal views rather than insinuate something that is factually inaccurate and utter bile you feckless fool.
