Now Im back in but the message now tells me it failed to get authorization data.  error 502.  Using saved authorization.  Authorization is valid for 21d  21hr  20min.  and now it states, again, the following DLCs are not authorized and are disabled:,  everything i purchased, but not, su25 and p51, which came with the program.  are you getting these problems as well.  Oh, yeah,  when I get into Fa18c missions, a/a sidewinder half of the time its as though there is someone else ,computer, flying the mission. Does tech support see these posts?

This was an accident, for lack of a better term, and there's no way it makes OnRe or ED happy. In this sort of scenario I think patience is deserved.

 

Easy for me to say, though, since I'm on Steam and my DCS works.

Dear Sirs,

I would really like to use the software that Ive paid for and supported for the last 5 or 6 years! There has to be a better way of gaining access to our legally owned licensed software than always relying on your servers to play! Weve already purchased the programs, why do we have to rely on your authorizations to play with what we own??? There's got to be a better way! Its been hours already! With All Due Respect!!! And I really appreciate all of ED's hard work and commitment!!!

We are sorry our troubles today have caused this feeling. We are working hard to get things back up and running. This is only a momentary problem and there is no risk to your purchases at all.

I am baffled, that it seems all servers are still running in the same domain, bottlenecking all services, not just the website or store.

I sincerely hope, this is an incentive to consider some overdue changes to the infrastructure.

How dare you expect from ED to be diligent!

I just downloaded the new patch (v2.8.6.41066): same issue, except now I got a 502 instead of 504.

There is also an easy solution, is for ED to let modules purchased from the ED store be transferred to Steam, similar to what already happens with modules purchased on Steam.

We continue to work on the issues, once again I am sorry this has taken so long. It's a combo of traffic and then an unfortunate event with the authentication server, a perfect storm. We hope to have these issues resolved as soon as possible.

I had big plans for tonight: finally going forward with "Inherent Resolve" after a week of delays due to work issues and instead... 😫

Right now there isn't, and we do not have troubles like this often if at all. I know the kneejerk thing is to rethink everything, but this system works the best for us 99.999% of the time.

ffs....

I'm completely shocked on how many people get thrown of the rails by such a minor problem and loose their composure. Server problems happens all the time across the internet. Get over it. It will be fixed eventually.

It may work best for you but it obviously doesn't work best for the people who pay for your products.

That would have been the offline mode, for 3 days at least. Unfortunately the offline mode does not work, after the update changed the version, before the new version could be authorised... Ouch!

Sir, being a software developer myself I know how does it feels having a big bug to fix and a crowd of angry customers with torches and forks.

Take your time: I think we can all survive the butt-hurt.

I'll calm down with a nice cup of chamomile tea and I'll go ahead with my campaign tomorrow.

Darn it, I'm still at 504, so 252 updates to go!  with the virus scanner pitching fits about the F-1 and C-101 I suspect there might be a repair or two in my future as well.
