Are you going to add a 1st person pilot body with animations?

Was never added for the Mig, are you thinking of adding it to the Corsair?

I don’t think it needs to be a day one feature but definitely should be implemented at some point.

I can’t wait to see the cockpit, it is going to by far the most cluttered cockpit we have with the lack of any floor! 😂

2 bugs:

1 - I can’t assign joystick button to toggle pilot body (only via keyboard)

2 - Material of pilot body is too bright and doesn’t seem to react on shadows? Also looks very low poly comparing to Phantom, but that’s ok if material will be not so bright.

I wish you could permanently disable this feature.

Just don't use it...problem solved.

Sooooo, you can display the pilot body?  I need it for immersion.  Without the pilot showing, every time I look down into the cockpit I am reminded I am in a game, and not emersed in a simulation.

Thanks

Yeap, pilot body is there. Did not check much of his quality in VR yet, but already figured out it's constantly in the way 😂

But I'm with you (changed my opinion from way back, where I was convinced that I would need no body), without it breaks the immersion.

It's tons better than ED's warbird pilot models though 😉
At least this one has the correct proportions for a human being 🙃

Except for the new boots and head/face......You'd be surprised that the artist that made that pilot is the one that made the F-14 pilots.....ohhhhhh almost back in 2014/15ish

Definitely outdated, but there might be updates, if time and money allow

At least please fix the material, shader, I don’t think the problem is in textures, just pilot body is so bright it’s blooming.

It's using the exact same textures as the external pilot.  The IBL and ILV setting are still being tweeked

There most certainly is a Show Pilot Body binding.  Unfortunately it's not currently possible to assign that to a HOTAS/controller (at least for myself).

However, I was able to add a Keyboard binding, and that DID work.

7800x3d, 5080, 64GB, PCIE5 SSD - Oculus Pro - Moza (AB9), Virpil (Alpha, CM3, CM1 and CM2), WW (TOP and CP), TM (MFDs, Pendular Rudder), Tek Creations (F18 panel), Total Controls (Apache MFD), Jetseat

I disabled it. In VR it needs some work. The pilots head is not attached to his body 😂. If you push the stick forward or left the body shifts and comes into view and blocks your view somewhat. It definitely braks immersion very badly.

There will always be compromises, as IRL on your chair you likely have a lot more freedom of movement compared to sitting in a cramped cockpit strapped to an ejection seat.
As a comparison: lean forward in the Apache while looking to one side and the pilot model's head detaches from your position too and you see the NVGs floating away...

I wasn't able to either. Luckily I can reach/see everything I need to with the pilot body still present.

True, and I do not mind a compromise. Have the Apache but haven’t flown it yet. Do have the F18 and F16 in those modules the pilot move also but I do not experience the body moving in front of your point of view.
