I didn't see fixes or improvements for SC in the latest patch. Any new news?

ED has working on some new features to the Supercarries, but actualy, has no ready to release.

Elevators also work since the beginning. It's for the AI, not for you.

Hangar 3D model has builded and working, but has none associate with pilots elevators lift controls but has not realistic, and hangar has only used store, maintenance and repair. The pilots never start missions on the hangars, start on the slots with a plane director (on progress by ED) with guide the pilots from slots to catapults or from landing pad to slots and follow the orders of the CAG (under develop), nothing more.

When we are ready we will include details in a future change log. 

Currently work is on going for the plane directors, this will take some time.

I see, maybe at some point will be interesting a bit of hangar ops, maintenance crew working on the hornets with opened panels and so, you know what I mean

I just hope the team can find a good balance of realism and gameplay for the middle of the road computer systems. I'd be happy as heck the team would just get the cats and jbd's with what we got for MP.  I dont know if this can be done but say your lined up on cat 3 and the plane director is ignoring you. Have a menu option for resetting cat 1,2,3 or 4

Hopefully with the plane directors this wont be an issue, if you follow their instructions on the deck there should direct you to the cat waiting for you.

Yeah, when will we see any substantial updates for the SC? We've been told for a year now that updates are coming but outside of minor fixes there have been no quality of life stuff or planned features for the SC.

We have mentioned many times, the supercarrier brings new features to DCS never seen before, some of the work was waiting for multithreading, current work on the plane directors, and Air boss are in progress, but it is complex and takes time.

We have fixed issues, but not all issues can be reproduced or there is a complexity to them that requires more work. Often heavily scripted MP missions create problems for the supercarrier which adds another layer of complexity.

Tomcat IFLOLS fix is in testing currently.

So this module has been in early access now for 4 years...  When is it actually going to be a ready to purchase component that actually has all the features that it supposed to have?   Or is there no timeline for this now?

No timeline but I hope they will keep developing it further, beyond planned features.

Developing and releasing the planned features should be top priority. This module was released 4 years ago.

From Eagle Dynamics store page

During the early access period, the following additional features will be added:

  • Air Boss station.
  • Briefing room.
  • Occupy the Landing Signal Officer (LSO) station with PLAT camera, including VR support.
  • More LSO station interactions.
  • Combined Arms integration.
  • "Burble" effect.
  • Wave off and bolter return to pattern radio messages.
  • Functional barricade net.


After those items are completed, maybe we can talk about extras, beyond planned features.

I like some of these esp. WO/bolter or barricade while I don't much need the others so I'm pleased with current development of deck directors, which happen to be beyond the original scope.

Would love a fix for AI taxi logic. In liberation missions you can't spawn more than 4 aircraft at a time without them running into each other and jamming up the carrier for the rest of the mission. Supremely frustrating.
