No, you miss the point entirely…….of course I can fly one of my other modules, but I wanted to be flying the F4 today! I am upset that a company that I have supported and been involved with for over 12 years did not manage to pull off a trophy release 8without a needless drama & pissing off a lot of its loyal clients. I am upset that they don’t have a system in place to test and make sure that what they have promised is deliverable, both in terms of timing and features. Heatblur did their bit, and ED dropped the ball on theirs. There is nothing worse than promising something then not delivering. Maybe they should re think giving dates and instead test, test and test and then release when they are sure it’s all good…….far better that way. It’s the being set up then knocked down that hurts…….

Fair enough, but text without emoticons or other indicators makes it difficult to read that as humor, especially with people giving HB heat for what appears to not their doing.  

 

In any case,  hopefully this will all be water under the bridge in less than 18 hours.

Well at least Nightwish got their single out today

and tomorrow our training session with the boat has been cancelled until next Wednesday, so I may be able to fit in a download of the module

Patch was delayed to the 22nd, so you have not missed anything yet.

From the old guard, this is our wet dream with no end in sight. I started on a.c.e. on c64 and now I have modules i can not comprehend. This is a lot of sugar with a tiny pinch of vinegar, still taste like most sugar to me. We pawed the the way and endured with grace. The hole thing was 1% game and 99% emagination. 24 hours, hell I waited 30 years. I loved this <profanity> before you were born. I had no hope that this day would ever be possible. The day is almost here and it is not the last. Did I want this 25 years ago, sure who wouldn't. You have what I wanted  right at your fingertips. I live to see this and yeah I might say " be humble and be grateful"  The passion and dedication to get here is no joke. "wags here* is just the sound of something good to come. We has years of good stuff in this area of gaming. If you pull out because of 24 hours. You loss. 
Blind follow no, but there is plenty of space in between

... what I don´t get is why a DCS patch has to be enrolled excactly at the release date of an 3rd party product ... the f4 II was already airborne for few people in special early access without issues (maybe not the 100% product... weapons, multiplayer readiness .. whatever) ... we will see

People, let’s put this in perspective. It’s not cancelled, it’s not missing critical features, it’s just delayed ONE business day. For goodness sakes people don’t act like this when their Amazon parcel is late a day, but they’ll take HB and ED to task for QCing the release.  Nobody’s gonna remember this thread 12 months after release.

Specific DCS Develop versions, no a real release version with a temporal key, only available to review / youtube video making / adversiting. Many of that "F-4E modules" will be wipe out the "module" with the release version path has enable and DCS update to the necesery version, requiring purchase a new module code to use them.

yes, i got that, but was not expecting a DCS patch combined with HBs F4 release date (thougt it has been checked/tested before) ... a short note on the DCS GUIs news pop up window would have been very helpful (for all the people that already gave money und now wondering why the module manager is not showing any F4) ... for the patch status news stuff you have to search (your pic shows a forum content)

I’m shocked.  ED has been putting out Update News for over a week and you guys didn’t realize there would be a patch coming out soon?  Again, I’m shocked!
