Did I miss something or is there no Strike Eagle in the Summer Sale video?

I think that it is F-15C (single seat).

Your AntiVirus is causing it. Other threads in here call it out. Nothing to do with the current situation.

That's not necessarily true.  My understanding is that as the DLLs become more out of sync and not updated - that they potentially will look like corrupted or infected files to AV programs.

Nope. But I did see other HB products. No RB products at all I think.

Oh come on.... do you REALLY think after 2 month of silence from ED (which in my opinion is the more professional way) they would tease a potential (unlucky / negativ) outcome of the negotiations and the whole current situation in such a subtle way? There are no modules at all from Polychop, Aerges or IndiaFoxtEcho in this video - so what?
And to be honest: if i would have to make this video on behalf of ED i would absolutely refrain from showing any RB modules at the moment for obvious reasons. I mean what would you think if the F-15E or one of the other RB modules would have been shown in a sales announcement video?
"Situation unchanged" or "Still no news on that"? No, i think most of the people would see that as a clear signal that most probably they are about to solve the problems and are getting back to normal - finally. Would be a pretty bad move if that wouldn't be true.

I agree.  I think the lack of SE in the video is likely deliberate, but also a prudent move on ED's part unless things were about to get resolved soon.

All I think is that there were no RB modules in the video.

I'm not going to hyperventilate about it.

And you mentioned it for what? Anyway - i‘m out because in my opinion the fact that there were no RB modules is not relevant at all - so this is just off topic.

There was no strikeeagle, or phantom in the trailer because they are not included in the sale.

It's about the summer sale and the modules you can save some money now buying. Not every module takes part in that. Especially not something as brand new as the phantom is right now.

It's not the first summer sale guys ...

If RAZBAM disappears from DCS, look on the bright side: ED could give the modules to Heatblur 😉

No, there is no Strike Eagle. Does that mean anything? I hope not. Because there is also no Gazelle, OH-58, MB339, Mirage F1, F-86, MiG-15..... or Mi-24, Mi-8, UH-1.... man, i really hope there is no meaning behind the absence of the Strike Eagle in this video.

Neither is the AV-8B or M-2000C

But, It really doesn't matter, as Ron himself has publicly said, that they choose not to participate in any of the sales.

So Putting them in the video would only lead people to cry about false advertising.

I agree - i think we will not see any of the RB modules in the sale nor the Phantom. But these videos are just to advertise a sale not to show which aircraft will be in the sale and which ones not. There was also a sequence with the Chinook. You are right: it's not the first sale and not the first video to announce one 😉 .
But i also think we should stop talking about this here because seems to be an F-15E thread, right 😉 ?

Yepp. That's why i said i wouldn't show any of the RB modules if i had to make this video.

There's nothing stopping HB from doing any aircraft already, if they wanted too.

There's been 2 teams working on the F-15E at the same time already, Ironically the team that left and went back to another platform, was also working on the F-14A.

It's not sitting well with a lot of people. Content creators have pulled their F-15E videos because of what you stated.

I know you didn't suggest it, but I'll say that yes, RB modules should be pulled until the situation is resolved. It does come across as a money grab (IMHO). Especially given that the Mirage 2000 and F-15E are showing issues now from not being updated.

Is it? The Mudhen is indeed in a bad state, but they are offering refunds for it. And as stated in this post, the Mirage issues came from changes accidentally pushed that have since been reverted. All of them except the Mudhen are working fine. I could also see pulling the modules from the store making this whole situation more complicated for them, and it sends a bad message to the community

I'm sorry, that's Bull!  This stuff does NOT happen "all the time".  In the 5 years i've been playing DCS, I've never once:

  • Had to trick F*k my computer system date to get an aspect of the module to work.
  • Had my AV quarantine files nor had to exclude entire directories from the AV scan

You've never, ok, good for you. I'm talking about all DCS users that reported their problems on the forum and they did experience AV false positives since at least 2020 or module breaking to the point of being unflyable.

Of course date change is just an optional workaround but at least is something you can consider instead of ex. CTD, where you're left with nothing you could do other than go back to older DCS version. Same with AV problem. You don't have to use the module or trust the file. This is an option you can take though and keep flying.

This is the reason will not pre order or pay for early access to ANY program or game no matter who it is from on any platform. Now we have modules we paid for and canmt play? I bought the harrier sim and never even activated it one time, been to busy. Can i refund that?

Yes modules break all the time and get fixed.  But No updates are coming to fix this until the dispute gets resolved.  That could be a while as 9L and BN said several times.  So I think it's unconscionable to continue to sell it in the store to new users that are most likely completely unaware of the drama.

And I do not buy at all that its a legal barrier.  Razbam is the "owner" of the module.  The only reason ED might not be legally unable to remove it or at least suspend it is if the original Dev/owner doesn't want it to be so.  But RB has specifically formally requested via their lawyers to ED lawyers to please remove their modules from the store until this issue is resolved.

I agree, Notso.  I've been flying DCS modules since 2011 and never encountered jacking around with the date or AV to get any of my modules to work before.

So yeah, SkateZilla clearly proves a fact for which Ron chose not to participate in any sales, and yet here we are looking at the ED store page with the SE and all of Razbam's modules for sale.  Even Razbam's website removed forwarding links to sell said products. That in itself is indeed disrespectful.  That and the fact that several users and CMs here are continuing to say the module is still flyable which personally offends me because the RADAR system IS the bread and butter of the SE and without that the SE is a totally useless module.

I stumbled across this on another forum and thought it was a really good source of informational insight. . If this is fake please let me know and I'll delete it.

It just goes to show how simplistic an algorithm can be if this > that can do nothing ELSE radar code.

I don't think it works like that. More like DCS will lose the Av8 M2K and F-15E.
