Even if this is not really official for me, because then ED would also state here in the forum (in the first post of this thread) that there will be no further cooperation, it sounds to me more like the Mig-23 has actually been abandoned, but not basically the work with ED or DCS.
Since you know the exact date and time, please tell me in which channel he said that, thx.

Sure. It is from Razbam’s official discord, called “RAZBAM DISCORD”, and the “General” channel within the discord.

it seems the dialogue at Razbam’s discord would indicate it is Ron Zambrano. When Razbam_Prowler posts, people call him Ron and he has responded without correcting them. Take it for what it is worth…

Additionally, if you need more official confirmation that they aren’t doing any work on DCS, it says so in their official announcement on the first page.

Razbam is not working on any DCS modules until the case has been decided. When their case is decided, it will become clear whether or not they will work together again. Currently there is no official statement that they will not continue to work together (but there is also no statement that they will continue to work together).

In any case, work is being done to finally reach an agreement and also to keep the modules alive in DCS

So to establish a couple of things based on the above, Razbam_Prowler is clearly Mr Zambrano, and the take ranges from “don’t hype it, not going to happen” to “everyone is looking to keep these modules alive and kicking.”

You can read it as "we won't develop new DCS module anymore, but we are trying to find an agreement with ED and support/finish the ones we have released".

I agree. Based on the posts from the 14th and 15th of January on the Razbam discord, that’s what you could infer. I’ve followed Razbam across a number of sims for what is probably a decade, and rationality and consistency hasn’t been their strong suit, so the above could change at any given moment.

And there lies the issue: reading into what people say instead of just reading what people say. It makes it hard to keep this thread open because all we can do is hang tight and let the legal things do legal things, and hopefully, everyone lands on their feet.

Sure, you are absolutely right. Having said that, there's only one way to read or interpret “all that is canned, so don’t hype please, not going to happen” when the CEO of the company in question is referring to new module development, and there's only one way to read or interpret "absolutely everyone is looking to keep these modules alive and kicking" when referring to existing modules, so I don't think anyone is reading in to anything.

Now, as I said in my prior post, the real problem and a real complication is that one party in the dispute pops off with comments like the above through non-official channels on a pretty regular basis since the beginning of the dispute being public, which is not only a bad look for their side of the dispute, but in my experience can tell you a bit about how a company is run/managed. 

Just my thoughts. Thanks for leaving the conversation open for discussion! I know it has to be a headache to moderate.

Ron Zambrano's X page is the most annoying place to look.  The guy constantly posts Mudhen and Harrier shots and videos from DCS while continuing to not work on them.

It's a shame, really. For a long time I was unsure of the quality of their products (not only for DCS but other sims in that conversation as well), but they arrived at a really good spot with the Harrier, M2000C, and F-15E. With the way this whole thing has gone, I'd be very hesitant to buy anything from them in the future, especially as a result of how they've communicated during this, the whole "radar time bomb" thing that one of their devs built in, etc (I was already hesitant having lived the history of their company already but it seemed like they had changed).

Of course not. I also think it's a real shame they haven't been compensated. Having said that, and as has been rehashed over and over again in this thread, we don't know the full picture, and my own personal opinion is that it is unlikely that ED just woke up one morning and said "let's not pay Razbam." I continue to be surprised that so many seem willing to think that is what happened, or at least are willing to discount topics like IP protection when considering the whole conversation.

That aside, learning that developers (contractors?) working for the third party built "time bombs" into the software in the event they don't get paid is a really bad look, and at least somewhat telling, either about the industry as a whole or the company they work for on it's own. At best, learning this serves to break a consumer's trust.

Nobody could expect RB keep working on modules after 18 months of not beeing paid. Both sides are legally disputing for a resolve, so asking or complaning because RB is not working on modules......

18 months of disputes and no payments. Whatever the legal outcome could be or who is right or wrong, nobody could ask RB to keep working on the modules. And to be fair ED should not sell any of the modules until the dispute is resolved.
