when you enable newly purchased modules, the game closes, then downloads new files to cover the enabled modules, then restarts. it may be worth a repair. it will not hurt anything. a full reinstall is not needed. a slow repair is better because it is an incremental process. it only downloads what is needed.

Not my screen, friend reported this after downloading Today's patch. He has FC3 and dont want to have FC4. DCS 2.9.6.57650 null This information is also not correct, it turns out that

FC-3 reinstallation makes nothing.  Each DCS restart same message. All my FC-3 planes are disabled !!! <profanity>

If you have FC3 do NOT buy the full FC24 your FC3 is still there its just a problem at ED you still have your pack an the correct upgrade path to FC24 will be available when its fixed >>> Again you do    NOT    need to buy the whole pack if you already own FC3  just chill an wait a fix is coming

What are you talking about? .. the US$10 is for adding three more aircraft to the FC3 pack, nothing more ... if you don't want them, just refrain from purchasing 🙄

The poster solved the issue of the FC3 planes not showing, buy buying FC24.

Same problem, getting message about my FC3 authorization not being valid. I'm sure they'll get it straightened out, like the classy new launcher though!

There is no need to buy FC4 to get rid of this.  The FC3 authorization is currently having a problem that ED is looking into.  You'll be able to get FC3 without FC4 if you have a bit of patience.

Same issue here. Already own FC3 + full fidelity F-5E, F-86F and MiG-15bis so I have no intention of upgrading (downgrading?). Not a big deal for me since the Su-33 is the only FC3 I routinely fly and for whatever reason it hasn't been disabled. It would be nice however, to have access to the stuff I've purchased.

Im sure it was something like this ;). All testers have it so nobody noticed what happens if someone has FC3 only. We have to wait for a hotfix or changes for ED autorization server.

If you linked Steam to ED account, you can go tou your ED profile and click on Get Licenses. Click on Transfer button and the aircraft will be individually transferred.

Side effect: FC3 turned into individual aircrafts

Same issue with me. All FC3 modules deactivated, new launcher shows 5 files available, but nothing shows in the list. I already own the F86 and F5, and don't want the MiG15 for the moment, so not buying FC4 (or whatever it is called). This isn't the first time this kind of thing has happened either.

Personally, this is all getting a bit much - not even counting the Steam vs native ED installers, when they started to sell each FC3 aircraft individually, they should probably have collapsed FC3 into discrete modules for everybody...put another way, there should probably be an ongoing process to streamline legacy modules into the 'mainstream' to prevent this kind of thing, which will only get worse as they continue to 'layer' past purchases into bundles (luckily the KA50 versions 1, 2, and 3 probably don't present as much of a challenge, but maybe you see where I'm going).

Meanwhile we've got multiple versions of maps incoming (Afghanistan), past maps that have separate versions (Normandy?) and possibly other 'bundles'.....not an insurmountable problem, but it's probably better if they simplify things, not make them more complicated.

 

EDIT TO ADD: FC3 Modules now work correctly. I flew them around a bit before noticing that the module manager IN DCS had a highlight, so I 'reinstalled' (nothing was downloaded) but as mentioned they had already worked.

I'm sure they have a lot going on after that huge patch yesterday give them at least a little time. I haven't played FC3 in years so I can wait a few days for it to get sorted.

Relax big boy they'll get there. I bet you haven't even fired FC3 in years. It'll get sorted out,  in the meantime go hang out in the Air Boss control room and watch some planes land..

Well, all good for you guys if you did plan to buy FC24, regardless of bugs or no bugs.

But if you genuinely think that "buying FC24 upgrade" is the best solution to "my FC3 got disabled"... then you are doing it wrong.

Good point : FC24 will bring more money to ED so they can secure their business model 😏

Yes, I flew the Su25, it was the first aircraft I tested on the new Afghanistan map. Working 100% my side now.
