Tom P Posted August 1, 2024 Posted August 1, 2024 (edited) It's been 3 years since the weather presets released. Can we please get some storm options, would love to have a lightning storm going on. Some snow/winter presets etc. Yes I know you can do this with the old weather options but the clouds are just layered and ugly. Or lowering the temp so the rain is snow. On the other things, we are currently working on fog layers once that is complete we will see what the team has in store next for weather. 3 1 Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
Spartan111sqn Posted August 1, 2024 Posted August 1, 2024 A kind of draw the weather map and how it will move around the scenario would be nice. I would like to see part of the map sunny and another part with a front of storm moving. @NineLine would it be possible? 2

Raven (Elysian Angel) Posted August 2, 2024 Posted August 2, 2024 Is there any news about efforts to reduce the performance impact of more complex weather patterns? Localized weather is still available in DCS when using the old deprecated dynamic weather system that is still selectable in the mission editor. It allows you to create different pressure zones resulting in localized weather. I always thought it was the plan to restore this functionality (or a similar one) for the new weather engine eventually? (It's a feature that ranks very high on my own personal wishlist ) Edited September 26, 2024 by QuiGon 3 Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

Yes, but it uses old weather tech, which is currently not supported and can create all kinds of visual problems like moving water surface or bad cloud patterns.
