I understand that some people are disapointed that the new Iraq map sometimes looks flat and that the animation of the deck crew could be more natural.

Please don‘t forget that both are early access and still havy much in development. The deck crew is a big step in the right direction and took many men hours of work and development. The future looks bright and cool stuff is comming ahead!

It has been in the game for quite some time, but less detailed.

That's what I wanted to say, I only have a less detailed version in game, even if this was updated patches ago compared to the even older model.

The one in the video is even more detailed but not in game yet.

Might be the same case as with new B-52, B-1 and other high res models. They keep them locked for some not yet revealed product.

DCS - Core

  • Resource manager. Warehouse resources dynamically changed by SetItem() don't synchronise for a new client - fixed.
  • VR. VR controllers disappear after selecting the VR tab in settings - fixed.

Now the controllers stopped working completely. Before the update, the controllers were working as long as I didn't use the launcher and didn't touch the VR tab.

Now they don't work at all, whatever I try....

My PIMAX controllers are working when I test, can you please make a post in the bugs section with your dcs log so we can take a look.

thanks

Whilst we are not forgetting things lets not forget that one of those modules has been in EA for 4 years and that the cat crews already had enough motion in them to avoid looking like zombies whilst standing twiddling their thumbs, something that should have been easy to incorporate into what are essentially, the same models with different frocks on.

Lets not also forget it still takes at least 4 separate mods to dress the SC in anything approaching a realisitc manner for what is, essentially, the sake of 5 static objects and a decent looking AI Seahawk.

Great patch thanks
just a shame that I had to reprogram
my joystick and my throttle and pedal because all the settings disappeared
Why? I don't know at all

You could have reload the profile in a few seconds.

Sure, but I don't know how to proceed.

@Bucic

If one has the old diff files, one can import them. While I'm afraid they're already overwritten, unless your peripherals have gotten new IDs, then it's fairly simple, because then the old files probably exists. If you have a lot of peripherals and modules, I find it easier to just rename all the files in one go.

Open the DCS folder under Saved Games. You find the diff files in Config\Input\module name.

Cheers!

In DCS controls section you select your aircraft, then click on a column under the device name and on the device name there is an option to load the profile. Ex. you choose F-15C, then click on column under your Warthog Throttle, then click on the name and choose 'load profile' option. You will now have to point to a file in /Saved games/DCS/Config/Input/F-15C/joystick/Warthog Throttle {device ID}.diff.lua

Unfortunately you have to do this for every device separately and for every module that has missing controls and it won't work if the file was indeed deleted or overwritten, but the updates should not touch these files.

Anyway it's always best to keep a copy of your dcs/config folder.

Exactly, while it does happen for some reason. For me it seems to only happen if there was an update to modules control settings. One can also of course backup the input folder before every update, just in case. 😉

Those profiles are called "diff" for a reason. If something changes in the base files in the installation directory, you can get a new binding or lose one that was default and you didn't change it, etc. That's why these profiles (diffs) have also "remove" instructions. I don't quite understand why we don't have absolute/complete control profiles instead.
