dsc106 Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago I hope ED can give Reflected Extra Early Access to this asset pack so he can get to work developing his F4U Angels over Okinawa campaign. I also hope we can hear more about the Zero soon. It sounds like it is "planned" for the future, but perhaps no development work has begun yet, so it may be quite some time. In any case, can't wait to hear more about this. I also understand the F6F has been in development for quite some time, but never gotten a proper detailing in an official newsletter, so I very much look forward to hearing more on this one and hope to see something soon. Maybe a pre-order later this year? VR Exclusive (5950x/5090/G2) | All DLC | Buttkicker + HF8 | Virpil Everything w/MFG Crosswinds [CM3 Base + 200mm Extension]
Czar66 Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Flight Simming angels just blessed us with a FF Zero. Just omg! The P-38 AI is also massive news. A plan to make a FF out of the P-38 would be huge. For now, I'm enjoying the Zero A6M5 news. So many other potentially great FF modules too out of that AI list too. 5

Reading about the PTO Assets Pack really got me excited, as did the new modules in our Free Trial Program. I've done a few parachute jumps from the CH-47C, so it will be interesting to fly F version of this helicopter in Free Trial. (It's a shame, though, because I was expecting the OH-58D to be included in the Free Trial list. Perhaps in the future) Yeah Kiowa at $70 dollars with neither a trial nor discount is why I haven't got it. If I tried it and liked it I may spend that, or if there is a window to get it cheap I may buy it "blind". I'm sure the point of sales a discount pre orders is to create a sense of missing out so you kinda feel compelled to buy. Not so with the Kiowa. As a someone who doesn't like the gazelle (no judgements) Kiowa is too much at the moment. 2

Maddog-1969 Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago (edited) Excellent news and happy to see serious efforts to develop the WWII Pacific theater. Exited about the PTO, but also like to mentioned there is already an impressive content available created by very skilled mod developers from the community. It would be a quick win for all if ED would consider talking for instance to Hawkeye60 and incorporate his mods, like they did recently with Currenthill, etc. Showcased here by Devil505 Edited 15 hours ago by Maddog-1969 Added additional information
julpeuz Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago I first read the newsletter, I couldn’t believe it. So grateful, thank you ED. Can’t wait to see how immersive this all will be. jeventy26 Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Did the Iowa get the shaft? Great list but that would be sad. 2
SloppyDog Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Sorry to interrupt the PTO assets announcement party, but I have a question regarding the save mission scripting function. With the use of the "world.getPersistenceData(name)" function will it be possible to extract the state of the player aircraft from a saved mission file? From what i understood from the function description it will be possible to fly to a border of a map, save the mission, load a new mission in a nem map, recover the state of the aircraft and continue mission. If that's the case, it would be possible to make missions between adjoining maps. For mission creation, it would add a new layer of challenge and immersion. What are the parameters extracted from the persistance json? Fuel, armament, damage state? 2

Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk He was asking about the battleship being cut from the PTO pack not the PC helo, which for what it is worth is a very nice and fun to fly module! Really looking forward to the DCS PTO (and hoping a Solomon Islands Map comes about someday), hope we see more AI assets in the ETO as well and of course there are hundreds of aircraft that ED could develop for either theater as flyables which would be major sellers, all in due time hopefully. One way or another very exciting times for DCS WWII! Wouldn't mind seeing some 60-80s and Modern Assets packs being made as well. 1

So I guess the Corsair did well sales wise, that’s great news. No, research alone for the Zero has been going on for an incredibly long time. It was more about making sure we could do it to the expected level that people expect from a DCS Warbird. We were happy to have M3 doing a module that will fit in nicely with the Hellcat and Zero, but they were not held for the release of any other module. The Corsair was released just a month ago, I sincerely doubt that ED has such a short development horizon. However, I truly hope that the Corsair has sold well, as that could mean a Mig-21 Remastered on the future. 3 For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB

This is a further, future topic, likely related to DCS v. 3.0, when a spherical Earth would be introduced. Then, historical conflicts could actually be created in the exact places where they once took place. However, that's likely a further topic. For now, the Mariana Islands WWII version remains. Personally, I'm a bit disappointed that the Check Six team withdrew their Australia project, instead of expanding it and changing it to a WWII version, adding a bit more of the map to the north - Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands. It would have been possible, and it would have provided a great foundation for DCS PTO. There was quite a discussion about it, and probably many more people would have accepted such a choice. 4 Webmaster of http://www.yoyosims.pl Win 10 64, i9-13900 KF, RTX 5090 32Gb OC, RAM 64Gb Corsair Vengeance LED OC@3600MHz,, 3xSSD+3xSSD M.2 NVMe, Predator XB271HU res.2560x1440 27'' G-sync, Sound Blaster Z + 5.1, TiR5, [MSFS, P3Dv5, DCS, RoF, Condor2, IL-2 CoD/BoX] VR fly only: Meta Quest Pro

Did someone sell you a bridge? Both of the Marianas maps are free. The PTO asset pack is a paid module, not an update. If you own the WWII asset pack you get a 30% discount when the PTO asset pack is available for purchase. It's not yet. Or am I completely missing your question as my reading skills have taken a break today? Cheers! 1
