We are not paying for a beta version, WE are paying for the sim, that we would have pre ordered anyway. Getting access to the Beta is a Bonus, and Hopefully we can help ED out, by taking some of the pressure of them to notice everything. If ED did that directly upon release, I imagine they'd anger quite a lot of the people who had pre-purchased. Also, even if a price drop is planned, they'd be shooting themselves in the foot by making that information public. If they told us, they'd miss out on a lot of sales at the higher price, as many people would just wait for it to drop. I'd imagine it will be available cheaper at some point, especially if released on D2D, on Steam, or boxed at retail, but how much cheaper and when it happens simply remains to be seen. Personally, it's more expensive than I expected, but I've happily paid more for games that gave me less value for money than I think this will. The price seems fair to me. The world is going mad. Me?
