Pilotasso Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 Used to fly the A-10A alot in FC1. One of the things I loved was to surprise the enemy at its base and all hell broke loose :D Every time I managed it without being shot down was really rewarding. Fond memories :D .
Steel Jaw Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 What is arcade to you? FC2? Hawx? What's the difference? :P "You see, IronHand is my thing" My specs: W10 Pro, I5/11600K o/c to 4800 @1.32v, 64 GB 3200 XML RAM, Red Dragon 7800XT/16GB, monitor: GIGABYTE M32QC 32" (31.5" Viewable) QHD 2560 x 1440 (2K) 165Hz.
Cali Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 What's the difference? :P Same thing can be said for DCS then. What just because you have more buttons to push it makes it real? Nope, they are all arcade then :D 1 i7-4820k @ 3.7, Windows 7 64-bit, 16GB 1866mhz EVGA GTX 970 2GB, 256GB SSD, 500GB WD, TM Warthog, TM Cougar MFD's, Saitek Combat Pedals, TrackIR 5, G15 keyboard, 55" 4K LED

One of the things I loved was to surprise the enemy at its base and all hell broke loose :D Every time I managed it without being shot down was really rewarding. Fond memories :D I remember A-10 missions too.... flying against ships <10 meters about 200 km. Killing 3-4 OHP at once and sometimes Kuznetzov too :D None for you. You probably fail at them all. :megalol: :megalol: LO3 is a must. There are only pros of this merge, no doubt! Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... MoGas Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 (edited) No thank you on mixing Air Quakers with my hardcore simming. Noooo thanks. As always, call it the way I see it. All those frustrated victims say that...;) I hear that everday... Or you think really that you are the man, by flying the A-10C? I tell you all those "air quakers" out there show you how to fly the A-10C as well....oh boy.. Edited May 15, 2011 by MoGas
FLANKERATOR Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 Same thing can be said for DCS then. What just because you have more buttons to push it makes it real? Nope, they are all arcade then :D +1 , Realism is not connected to clickable cockpits only, the real realism is coming from the heart of the battle... You can "technically" master any cockpit using the manual and some practice....challenging other "Humans" in a multi-threat online environment is The REAL thing to me...that's what gives me the adrenalin rush... Russian and American air-to-ground slots have been filled in DCS now, so I wish they will come out with a Western modern fighter and another Russian modern fighter as soon as possible....until then I will always support FC compatibility patches. asparagin Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 You can "technically" master any cockpit using the manual and some practice.... ...and patience. And I think this is like a bodyguard who keeps unwanted guest out. I agree with your post Flankerator, don't get me wrong, but still FC it is easy to get in, and it takes dedication to play it the way you describe it. I would even say what you describe does not equal average. Spoiler AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, MSI MEG X570 UNIFY (AM4, AMD X570, ATX), Noctua NH-DH14, EVGA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti XC3 ULTRA, Seasonic Focus PX (850W), Kingston HyperX 240GB, Samsung 970 EVO Plus (1000GB, M.2 2280), 32GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo DDR4-3600 DIMM CL16, Cooler Master 932 HAF, Samsung Odyssey G5; 34", Win 10 X64 Pro, Track IR, TM Warthog, TM MFDs, Saitek Pro Flight Rudders
FLANKERATOR Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 ...and patience. For sure patience and passion... as an example, I will never forget what it took me to get F-16 "certified" in Falcon especially OF... And I think this is like a bodyguard who keeps unwanted guest out. I would even say what you describe does not equal average. Agreed again, FC is technically spoken easy to get in compared with other in depth simulations like DCS or Falcon...still the tactical challenge against other Human pilots is for sure a challenging task with unlimited possibilities..that's the kind of combat realism I like most of all. Hellfire257 Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 There should be a FC2 patch imo. After all, FC2 was basically advertised as having online compatability with Blackshark. If there isn't one, it would be very unfair on EDs half and they would be going back on something that was advertised. Its just a shame that ED now have a history or going against the grain (Master server for A10C).
sobek Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 After all, FC2 was basically advertised as having online compatability with Blackshark. IIRC, you are mixing stuff up here. ED advertised that AS A BONUS, FC2 and BS would be compatible and they even said that future DCS-FC2 compatibility was unlikely. I think it is rather premature to act now like you have been taken to the cleaners by ED. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
Cali Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 It would be nice for a patch between FC2 and DCS models everytime one is released. I don't mind that FC2 isn't as highly modeled as DCS series jets. I would of liked them to have a simpler model and have more aircraft then the way they are now. Missiles, graphics, models and avionics could all be reworked in FC2 and made a lot of people happy. That could of been done in the time that we have gotten the Ka-50 and A-10C and it would of looked nice. Don't get me wrong, I like DCS, I just want aircraft faster then what we are getting now. i7-4820k @ 3.7, Windows 7 64-bit, 16GB 1866mhz EVGA GTX 970 2GB, 256GB SSD, 500GB WD, TM Warthog, TM Cougar MFD's, Saitek Combat Pedals, TrackIR 5, G15 keyboard, 55" 4K LED

I really do hope that they keep the feature, it has been very useful in MP coop.

Cali Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 If they do make DCS-10C compatible with FC2 then that will be a bonus, that many of us will be thrilled with. i7-4820k @ 3.7, Windows 7 64-bit, 16GB 1866mhz EVGA GTX 970 2GB, 256GB SSD, 500GB WD, TM Warthog, TM Cougar MFD's, Saitek Combat Pedals, TrackIR 5, G15 keyboard, 55" 4K LED
