I am still puzzled over the excitement about having an, IMHO, undesirable photographic artifact replicated in a simulation.

I dont think it belongs in cockpit view. I think its great for outside views like in the screen shot shown.

This, I hate it when I see it while being in a first person perspective. Not so much when I'm a "camera" following a plane.

Yup, there will always be guys who like I got a pint of milk splashed into my face topped with a nuclear flash reflections (i.e. exaggerated HDR with exaggerated bloom) and I'm a cameraman, yeee!. Let's hope all of such quirks will be toggle-able and that the skybox will be properly documented.

Explosions in EDGE?

 

This question had popped up into my mind multiple times, but I always forgot about it. But, it came up in my mind just now, and I was wondering....will the explosions in EDGE, if we get any, be more realistic then the ones we have now (size, height), or will we have the same explosions? Also, will there be lingering smoke that stays for a little while after the explosion?

I'm hoping for this too. It accommodates DX11 features so I'm sure new particle effects will be added, even if they come in a later version.
