I'm making a new thread to seperate from the fighter wishlist. I know that no large aircraft are even hinted at yet but maybe some 3rd party will pick up the torch and give us something.

I know multi crew positions hasn't been worked out yet but there are lots of large military aircraft out there that many would like to fly that would fit great into the DCS world battlespace. They are an important part of any Air Force.

These are a few of my favorites, please add your own and hopefully someone will listen.

US

-----

B-1B Lancer

B-52 G/H Bomber

KC-135 Tanker

C-17 Globemaster

E-3 AWACS

C-130 Transport

AC-130 Gunship

Russian

---------

Il-76

Tu-26

Tu-160

Tu-95

Tu-16

Tu-22

Edit: I realise some are prop jobs ...but you get the point.

What and no V bombers??????

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

I think it would actually be a blast with the B-1B. 600knts at 60ft off the ground with that big bugger. A little like the F-15E only on steroids and protein shakes.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Vulcan B.Mk1 but i know very little of the british bombers from the cold war era.

Transports - Depends on how the aircraft would interact with the rest of the world. Delivering supplies as part of resource management could be interesting. But the more appealing usage would be delivering air dropped cargo of troops, supplies, psy-ops, or even a MOAB with the C-130.

Tankers - Would be fun to occasionally tank up other players as the boom operator. The USN uses F-18s to buddy tank quite often, so that could be a decent and enjoyable substitute if/when the F-18 gets put into the sim.

Bombers - Hell yes.

AC-130 - Would be amazing.

AWACS- Flying it wouldn't be as interesting as something that behaves like a dedicated command and control platform.

I beleive the B-1b would be great there is only 4 crews...

You took it from my mouth, man!!! Yes! Just if Combined Arms would feature resource management system, perhaps one could easily overlook and fly the entire aspect of a base to a front/rear location. Let's start with something easy, the ammunition.

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

My wish:

1. B-1B

2. P-3K Orion

3. Антонов АН-225

4. B-24

5. C-17

I would love to see heavies, but first we must crack the nut of 2 seater aircraft.

I think it would be cool as hell to fly the KC-135 and also to have the boom operator position modelled

+1 more for the V bombers, been a while but I was in a Vulcan back in the 90s, one that had done the round trip to Port Stanley.

Valiant - The first British aircraft to drop an atomic bomb

Victor - refueled the Vulcan on it's way to the Falklands

Vulcan - Completed the longest bombing run in history UK to Falklands and back

Oh and of course we need that little interceptor to go with them - The Lightning ;)

Me either, although, the positions for jamming/ECM operator might be interesting though, as well as stations for bombardier.

Look at that 8 pack of ALCM. During my SAC days in the cold war those would have been nukes. The B-52 is a fearsome weapon.

During Desert Storm thousands Iraq soldiers were surrendering so fast after getting hit by our buffs that the army didn't know what to do with them all. We got to watch classified movies in the base theater of our boys giving them hell. Even though we were at war I felt sorry for the soldiers getting carpet bombed in their caves. Scary stuff.
