Su-25 tm scorpion, Russian fuselage design and weapons systems are merging with western electronic warfare systems upgrades;

But Su-24, classical Russian avionics, amazing bombing power and widespread weaponary, supersonic speed, two seat special design...

Hımm... ? Hard to say comrades!!!

Anything that has PGM capabilities and can punch coordinates in after start up. It's rough designing maps for eastern bloc forces that aren't stupid easy to find targets.

Su-25SM?

It seems the Su-25SM is the new (and the main) RuAF Frogfoot variant. Is there any chance we can get it added into the DCS stable?

Thanks

I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!

SM is boring, only CAS, nothing guided against vehicles. T(M) rulez :P

Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D

SM cant carry guided weapon?well that's new to me :)

The Su-25SM not only has guided weapons, it is more capable with them.

"Su-25SM weapon suite has been expanded with the addition of the Vympel R-73 highly agile air-to-air missile (albeit without helmet mounted cuing) and the S-13T 130 mm rockets (carried in five-round B-13 pods) with blast-fragmentation and armour-piercing warheads.
Further, the Kh-25ML and Kh-29L Weapon Employment Profiles have been significantly improved, permitting some complex missile launch scenarios to be executed, such as: firing two consecutive missiles on two different targets in a single attack pass.
The GSh-30-2 cannon (250 round magazine) has received three new reduced rate-of-fire modes: 750, 375 and 188 Rounds per Minute. The Su-25SM was also given new BD3-25 under-wing pylons"

That's from Wikipedia, but it's cited as coming from: Mladenov, Alexander (January 2013). "Armoured Workhorse". Air Forces Monthly 298: 68–74

As I never got my January issue of Air Forces Monthly, I cannot independently confirm the citation.

Personally, I would love a flyable IL76. It is a very elegant heavy. The flightsim genre needs a realistic simulation of it. We would probably have to wait for the shared cockpit feature first, as the IL76 needs five crewmembers, not including the tail gunner. I think it would be a popular addon either way.

hmmmm wish to see Mig-42 MFI Foxglove among the new crafts, seein' it absent in list, voted for PakFa

Probably not listed because it kinda goes against the very idea of DCS to have fantasy aircraft in the game.

I second that actually, I would love that aircraft in the game.

I voted the plain Flanker. If I had to choose, I'd pick the Mig-29 (I don't care wich variant), Su-27 (plain flanker) and/or Su-33 (carrier version of the flanker).

I chose the Su-27, but if there was an Su-33 I'd pick it, it's the carrier version of the fighter.

But honestly I'd take them all, it's hard to pick which is better :D I'm sure all of the quirks with all the Russian fighters would be fun :joystick:. If they made the Su-27,Su30 and 33 I would be just as happy flying each plane depending on my mood.

And the pak-fa is already pushing it. We couldn't do a high fidelity version until... 2030 or so lol. The Pak-Fa isn't even in production yet.

I vote the Tu-95 or the TU-22M

both are old enough to be useable!

DCS: F-4E really needs to be a thing!!!!!!

Documentation for a Su-24 FC3 level

I have found this Video about the Su-24. Amazing with some info. This Video is in russian, maybe is an english Version too?

If someone have some info about Su-24, could help for a next Su-24 FC3 Level.

Here more info:

Geran is an second generation active jammer, which can be internally or pod mounted. SPS-162 (L102) is used on later Su-24s. Able to jam frequencies from 6 to 12GHz with 100 kW power Output.

kayra-24m-tv-ir.jpg

Kaira-24M is fitted to the Su-24M, and is very similar to Kaira-1. It was initially intended to place it in the nose, where the Su-24 Chaika system had been, but was relocated to an belly location near the centre of gravity. This decreased the effect of oscillations and bending on the accuracy of the system. Kaira-24 has a field of view of +/-35° in azimuth and +6°/-160° in elevation. Maximum range of laser ranging is 12km.

Orion Radar (Top) was originally designed for the Su-7. Operating at 8mm wavelength(?), using a conventional parabolic antenna, it has a maximum range of 150 km, and could detect and track large targets with significant radar contrast with the ground. It could be used for blind bombing only against big area targets, such as railway stations, large command posts, etc. A slightly improved version, Orion-A, was fitted to the Su-24M.

Relyef TFR Radar (Bottom) This is a terrain-following radar fitted to the Su-24M.

What appear to be TFR steering cues on an Su-24 HUD?

APK-9

Datalink pod for Kh-59, Kh-59M, used on Su-24, Su-30. Also known as Tekon. Guides missile to the target area, transmits targeting data and target acquisition. Includes data recorder.
