But what about SF models of Su35-BM and other Russian Modern Jets. Ok understood about the AFM needs more documentation but with SFM you can do with this info available on the net:

And check this awesome maneuverability

The real thing is that all that excuse of DCS and ED not having too much info...this and that is a big agenda behind all of it. And that is not to show the world that Russian Modern Fighter jets are better then Western ones because ED's DCS is a strong showcase to the other countries especially the Middle East to show them that Western Military jets are more advanced and a better choice then the Russian ones.

This is I am assuming I m not sure how true it is or not but we all know that TFC along with ED have clients like USAF and other western countries to develop simulators for their pilots for example A10c pilots. So they don't want to upset their clients by making or putting modern Russian jet in the game and the people in the middle east will say : HEY ! THAT RUSSIAN JET IS MORE EFFECT THAN THE WESTERN ONES AND DO ALL THE STUFF THAT THE WESTERN JETS DO ! and it costs 10 times less then the Western ones.

ED have more Western programers now then they have the Russians ones before.

And I also admit that ED we used to know during the 90's of Flanker Nation will not be the same. But hey, I might be wrong... I hope so.

DCS World is not Balanced that's for sure..... :pilotfly:its all about showing off US Air Supremacy.

When they can put Su35 BM, and Pak FA in games like ACE Combat then why not put it in DCS World as a Standard Flight Model same like the current Su27 model !.... all that bullshit of not enough info, documentation and some bill regarding Putin not to put Russian military jets in games.

Peace out....:music_whistling:

oh man

hi, mate. I can see where you got those conclusions. You are too into politics, and think everything have a political agenda behind it. If you think that way, of course you would end up with these ideas you just mentioned. But the truth is there is nothing political about this game. We are all here just to enjoy the simulation. Pure and simple. :thumbup:

Yes, I think you are right, there is no way to argue with these guys. Like they say its easier to have western military info, documentation, data, etc... but its hard to get info on Russians ones.:huh:

So be it.

Lets see....

Yes, produced by ed, and is a multirole version of su-27, with ground guided weapons and a new cockpit with more displays. But I think we have to wait many years to have it

It was posted on 1 April....

Here is the text translated, doubtful that you will see it...

The Fighter Collection and Eagle Dynamics will release the next plane Series Digital Combat Simulator (DCS) in 2014: the best fighter in the world of the twentieth century, the Su-27. "Flanker" is among the best and the most famous aircraft of the Soviet Union and contemporary Russia. With its long range and high maneuverability, the Su-27 was used primarily as an interceptor, long-range escort fighter.

DCS: Su-27 Flanker will be modeled with the same detail as the existing LA Series Digital Combat Simulation Ka-50 "Black Shark", A-10C "Warthog", P-51D "Mustang", and will be compatible with them in the network game.

More information about DCS: Su-27 Flanker will be available closer to July of this year.

from the march newsletter;

Currently the team is focused on completing Flaming Cliffs 3 and continued updates and improvements to DCS World. Once Flaming Cliffs 3 is complete, more of our focus will shift to upcoming DCS titles like the F-15C, F/A-18C and Fw-190D9. Looking further out, Eagle Dynamics and our partners plan a large number of new modules that include the Su-27SM, F-86F, MiG-15Bis, MiG-21Bis, Hawk, Mi-8, Mi-24, OH-58 and AH-1G, to just name a few.

@echomastermind.. yes,the reason why the baby-blue colour is because it has been proven psychologically it soothes and calmes the mind of the pilot better than if it is pitch black..

it makes sense, who has pitch dark walls in the living room, or any other room for that matter..

Russians have always tried to soothe the pilots, submariners lives.. I still can't forget seeing a pool in the Typhoon and sauna )) or the Su-34 with a WC and a small kitchen..

personally i like the colour.. having it all met black is just depressing..

Thanks for the reply! Yes, that makes sense :)

I still think that it is butt ugly, but that is just my own opinion of course ;)

I don't mind the grey/black tones in other jets myself though.

I'm hoping we don't have to wait years for this, really want to fly this thing. Especially since if memory serves the SU-27SM can fire the R-77 while the older SU-27 in FC3 can't.

I'm pretty confident ED will have a DCS level Flanker at some point, after all they produced Flanker games before. Having only Western DCS level jets to fight against in multiplayer would get really old. Having the red planes thrown in keeps it interesting.

"Hurled headlong flaming from the ethereal sky; With hideous ruin and combustion down;
To bottomless perdition, there to dwell; In adamantine chains and penal fire"

@tootall ..the problem is timing, how long before this is done.. i think ED risks more damage by letting us known their plans if those plans are like 5 years down the line plans.. i don't think simmers patient as they are have such patience to wait for so long..

if we don't get something by the summer i think the community might start to rebel and crack under pressure..

Man...i can't wait to see a dcs flanker. I am willing to preorder it even if it is 3 yrs down the road and even at double the current price of a module. It will be amazing to get a realistic feel of how my favorite bird actually flies.

There were discussion here about Su-27SM radar. IIRC there were N001V with "new" Ts101 signal processor and upgraded AtG capabilities installed at earlier batch, then there was N001VP radar with "Baguette" signal processor. N001VEP is commercial model intended for export, so it may be downgraded compared to original N001VP.

At the beginning there were plans to install another radar in Su-27SM or more powerful TWT, but there were problems with electrical generator power output which was insufficient for new, more powerful radar, so they choose to go cheap route and upgrade existing N001.

Here some info for you: airwar.ru states that maximum detection range of "fighter" aircraft for SU-27UBM1 (Byelorussian upgrade) is 200km.

Also, here is Ukrainian advertisement sheets for N001 upgrade. Look at page 7.
