Conure Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 (edited) Most of this has gone now - if I haven't replied to a PM I am really sorry, it's because I have received a lot of them and have worked through them on first come first serve basis (provided the people asking had a decent post count etc!) Hey all, I've come to a point in my life where I am able to spend a fair bit of time actually flying, and when I'm not doing that I'm either spending time with family or working. I am going to keep DCS because it offers something I can't get from the real world - a combat environment... I have taken a lot from this community over the years so thought I'd give something back to somebody. I know I won't really be able to tell - but I want to give this stuff to somebody that is truly passionate about aviation but maybe can't afford to pour money into a complex set of addons like the ones I am giving away. They will be missed but life has other priorities and with all the real flying I am able to do I won't be needing them. What I am giving away is the following... [[[[[EZDoc realistic camera Ultimate Terrain X Europe - These are gone Ground Environment X Europe]]]]]]]]] ---------------------------MyTraffic 2010 --FS2CREW FOR THE NGX - Still available, forgot to post this! ---------------------------Megaairport Heathrow Real Environment Essentials Plus - now gone OrbX England- now gone Carenado Skymaster - gone And my favourite.... The PMDG NGX 737 including the 600/700 variants. - now gone All you would need to do is buy the original FSX package (which is damn cheap online) and you'll have a fully featured highly complex and realistic simulator. It probably sounds strange to give it away given that it's an expensive amount of software, but the truth is I'd like it to hopefully inspire somebody who maybe can't afford to fly in real life, and can't afford or justify the costs of the addons because of family/education/age etc. Also, I think the flight simulator community is close knit so I'd feel like I was giving it away to somebody who had something in common with me. Basically, I will notify the publishers (mostly purchased from Flight1) of the change of ownership so that it can all be attached to a new email, and I'll PM you the keys required. Please don't "apply" if you're well off and just want freebies :) Cheers Edited December 22, 2012 by Conure 9 Intel i7 6700k, Asus GTX1070, 16gb DDR4 @ 3200mhz, CH Fighterstick, CH Pro Throttle, CH Pro Rudder Pedals, Samsung Evo 850 SSD @ 500GB * 2, TrackIR 5 and 27" monitor running at 2560 * 1440, Windows 10.
metalnwood Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 Good stuff, I am sure it will be appreciated a lot by somebody.
outlawal2 Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 Very nice gesture! There may be hope for the world after all... "Pride is a poor substitute for intelligence." RAMBO

Conure Posted December 21, 2012 Author Posted December 21, 2012 Cheers :) To anyone interested - you are more than welcome to just send me a PM. Also, I would prefer it if you had a decent post count here to show a genuine interest in aviation (or at least a decent postcount on another aviation forum from which you can PM me!) I have just paid to reacctivate the downloads on the NGX (as it is restricted to 7 days only) so you would need to download it within the week and keep a permanent backup. agrasyuk Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 i'd love to have the PMDG 737. i'd thankfully take the EU scenery, but I never fly there so it probably will serve somebody else better. Anton. My pit build thread . Simple and cheap UFC project
GeorgeLKMT Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 This is really nice of you. I was going to ask about some stuff, but if I think about it, there may be people that could use it more than me, so I'll pass. I guess my old FSX days when I spent hours and hours flying above ORBX sceneries with dozens of aicraft are nearly over. I didn't even get that England (although it looks beautiful, even more than NZ) and now I have FSX mostly for carrier operations and some "development stuff"... all my "sim money" will be for DCS. By the way maybe you could ask on Avsim. :) ■ L-39C/ZA Czech cockpit mod ■ My DCS skins ■
Rusty_M Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 How far north does OrbX England extend? The world is going mad. Me? I'm doing fine! http://www.twitch.tv/rusty_the_robot https://www.youtube.com/user/RustyRobotGaming
Conure Posted December 21, 2012 Author Posted December 21, 2012 (edited) Asrasyuk - I am very happy to give this stuff away individually to people so if you'd like the NGX it's yours. PM me with your email address and I'll send it over to you. (edit, just saw your home made pit - absolutely happy to give you the ngx as you're obviously a serious simmer!) Rusty - not sure, border of England maybe? George that is true, the thing is I've always had tighter bonds with the DCS community so thought I'd offer here first :) All other addons are waiting for a new home! buedi Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Hey all, Only two things are gone - the NGX and the Carenado. The rest is still available to just PM me! Which is a good sign. I feared that people start hunting for the "freebies" like vultures. But they are not and this is a sign for a fantastic community over here. And that you give away these expensive stuff is amazing and very generous. If people don´t ask for that stuff it´s not because they don´t appreciate your generosity, but maybe they think they don´t really need it because they could afford it on their own. I won´t apply for anything too, because I only recently bought me some pre-Christmas presents which made me aware again how lucky I am :)
Conure Posted December 22, 2012 Author Posted December 22, 2012 Hey guys, Almost everything is gone now and if I didn't reply to a PM I am sorry - I have had a fair few! All that is left to find a new home is... Mega Airport Heathrow (amazing scenery, FPS heavy though) and MyTraffic 2010 which adds traffic for the whole world. It will completely fill up all your airports with realistic liveries and is very easy on the fps. Slayer Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Been wanting Heathrow but I'm by no means too broke to get it. Giving away an NGX is a huge act of generosity.
