EDGE is required for the dedicated server.

Wags stated MP Stability was priority over DED Serv. App, which was also stated to be in Dev but put on hold.

no where was it said edge was required,.

Wags stated that EDGE needs to be finalized in order to make the dedicated server.

Its alright, we all forgot that and went on thinking it was just a cool name ;) Out of interest, was it ever stated if Edge would be properly multi core or not?

Engine ?

Correct me if I'm wrong here.

No, it's a new image generator. I believe they will focus mainly on ground rendering features for now but it will still render everything, so graphics engine would indeed be correct.

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

You can say EDGE as a word and opposed to EDTE. Try them both in a sentence and see which sounds better. :D :pilotfly:

WTH?? Are you going Aretha Franklin on me Skates?? :megalol::megalol:

Anyways back on topic. I would love to see some examples/results from some "successful" testing of EDGE compared to the current engine. Some indication of what we can possibly expect. I'm not trying to be pushy though. :music_whistling:

Wasn't it not that long ago people were stating that MP was a very small portion of customers? Basically saying us MP people weren't worth the time? Now they're delaying a major patch and apparently dedicating a fair amount of resources to it?

Wonder what made them change their minds.
