I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one to think this, but who reckons Thrustmaster will finally get round to releasing an 'add on' for the Warthog in the shape of a Hornet stick for the Warthog?

We know the F-15c is also getting 'an upgrade' (the stick is virtually the same as the Hornet) Thrustmaster could cover both bases with the 'hornet stick'

I'd buy it without a shadow of a doubt!

I'd like them to release a whole new HOTAS!

Although I like the Warthog setup, the stick design could use some refinement (I find that while the sensors are very precise, the motion of the stick itself isn't smooth). Plus it would be nice to have the right buttons in the right places.

Order a tube of nyogel 767A, regrease everything... No sticktion whatsoever...

The F15/F18 grip doesn't look as nice as the F16/A10 grip though...

How'd you mean exactly?

BTW, I really like the way the 15/18 Stick looks. TM made a thing about the Cougar being modular, but they didn't release another stick...until now at least ;)

A question for those who know...Did TM announce the Warthog before ED announced A10c? or was it the other way round?

I am not convinced they will make one. I would still like to see some aviation pedals from them.

However, were they to do so, I would almost certainly get it. :)

This is something we are working on at Komodo Simulations. We are just finishing off a current project and then we will be working on a range of various grips for the Warthog depending on demand of what people want!!

Let us know and we shall create!!

Apologies, I meant for the throttle rather than the stick, which would obviously be sorted with a replacement F/A-18 grip.

I would be willing to pay for a replacement stick for the F18 and F15. Not knowing how much difference there is between them. I would be willing to settle for a "Stick of fiction" to accomplish both aircraft.

I think the reason we didn't see a new Stick and throttle for the old gimbal base was because they knew it could be done better.

That being said, I'd love to see an F-18 stick and throttle quadrant if someone finishes an -18 or mudhen.

Also, how would you feel about doing the stick extensions for the warthog?

If there was a hardcore Hornet stick available I'd be all over it, but I wouldn't go for the F-15 stick (differences are enough for me to be discontent ;)). The US Harrier, on the other hand, actually has the exact same stick as the Hornet doesn't it? One stick and you'd please Bug, Superbug and Harrier fans!

Anyway, word on the street is that TM has no plans currently to replicate the Hornet stick. The bloke that runs thesimulatorstore.com is in the process of doing so, still sourcing some parts though apparently.

Hornet, Eagle, Harrier-sticks? I'll go with Willie the Pooh's statement: Yes please, I'll have'm all :P And if there's throttlequadrants with that, I'll have those as well.

Then again, I've always been a bit bonkers :p

I used to like people, then people ruined that for me.

PM sent!!

We are 99% ready if anyone else is interested!

Then quote me a shell price (as I own the correct switch hardware and desire something sturdier than a Suncom grip to insert it to), and lets get on with the show.

We are 99% ready for our own design Multi-Grip system. The custom grips for the Warthog aren't ready. We are still working on whether its even possible to do.

There is a circuit board inside the Warthog grip, if we can't reproduce this and get it talking to the main board in the base then we will have to design our own base unit. This then means its a totally new stick and defeats the object of custom grips for the Warthog.

Rich-

All I need is the grip itself; no electronics. And, I don't know about anybody else, but marketing an update to merely replace the shell on a Warthog (or a Cougar) has plenty of potential play; only thing required is matching up the screw holes for the mounting hardware in your mould design/CAD to CNC, and let the folks do the hardware swap with the electronics they already own. I'm certain that for a fair price, you'd have quite a few jump on for that option- Hell, I'd even reconsider a Warthog for that.

But me, as of right now I'm using a BU0836A, so my installation options are unlimited.
