outlawal2 Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 You misunderstand. It says the completed 75000 would be topped off to fund the entire project, which naturally has a lot more financial volume. In case of the KS campaign not reaching their goal, they need to aquire 75000$ more to top off their entire project. Wow, I guess I did misunderstand that... Thanks for the clarification and I apologize for my density... :music_whistling: "Pride is a poor substitute for intelligence." RAMBO

Mike Busutil Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 So then the next question is if KS fails, does KI's schedule still hold? Or does that slide to the right? Hans-Joachim Marseille Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 (edited) It would be a shame if this project would be canned for financial reasons. This is an exciting new jet-fighter, and deserves to be flown in DCS: World. If Beczl can produce a MiG-21 from $15.000,= raised by Kickstarter (original pledge: $13.000,=), I'm sure the F-35 can take off for $30.000,= raised and participation of Beta testers (with the creative part of the fan community providing missions). sobek Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 If Beczl can produce a MiG-21 from $15.000,= raised by Kickstarter (original pledge: $13.000,=) Those projects are very different. Beczl had a lot of work already done plus he already has lot's of know-how modding for DCS. I think the 13,000 he set as goal was capital he quickly needed to hire personnel, this is by no means the funding of the entire project. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
Hans-Joachim Marseille Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Understood, schönen Dank for the quick reply and clarification.

Before we started fundraiser campaign we already invested same amount of money for the MiG-21 project as we received by Indiegogo.

Hans-Joachim Marseille Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Ahahaha ... I hope my gaming rig doesn't turn into a money pit like that. Either way, I'm really looking forward to both Beczl Studio's soon-to-be-released "Fishbed" and Kinney Interactive's hopefully-to-be-released "Lightning".

What, where features are locked out for players who don't pay extra for them? I dunno about you, but I won't pay a cent for any add-on aircraft which isn't the same for all users who bought it. None of this "my F-35A has X but yours doesn't because you didn't pay for that part" for me. Edited July 11, 2013 by Echo38

Echo38 Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Okay- well maybe we get the B and you don't. Everyone's A model can be exactly the same. A'ight, have fun with this. I won't pay a dime for a thing like that, myself. Sell 'em as separate aircraft; that's fine. I'll buy the ones I want. But this exclusive-content thing--"premium members" and all that--no, not for me. And I trust that E.D. have the good sense not to dabble in that marketing gimmock stuff.
ENO Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 (edited) But you can be all obstinate about it. I've paid money- 3 times what a normal game costs... What are you saying? That I owe it to your opinion that you get everything I do? Pound sand clown. Edited July 11, 2013 by ENO "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. Echo38 Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 I've paid money- 3 times what a normal game costs... DCS isn't a normal game. It's closer to a training tool than a game. Perhaps you play on lower realism/difficulty settings, but for the core user base, the point of using DCS is that it's a high-realism simulator rather than a normal game. For that reason, some things (such as dubious marketing tactics and RPG elements) that work well for a normal game won't do for DCS.

ENO Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 You're a veritable mind reader. Yes. I like lowest realism settings. Labels, padlock, game style g forces... I mean they're available in DCS so why wouldn't I use them? Available in DCS- this hardcore prawn game you're pounding your chest over. Yes echo. I can put on labels and pwn everything. And I will be able to in F35 too- that must drive you beyond Nutz. In fact. I drink and fly- is that a no-no in your ultra realistic squadron? Would someone be verboten if they sipped on a cocktail while flying an intense mission while flying on your wing. Would you verbally defile them on TS3? Jesus dude- get a grip.
