Yup the F-35 kickstarter missed its goal and no money was taken.

This is also true if you donate through Amazon. They don't charge you until the end of the campaign and then, of course, only if successful.

ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero, i7-6700K, Noctua NH-D14 Cooler, Crucial 32GB DDR4 2133, Samsung 950 Pro NVMe 256GB, Samsung EVO 250GB & 500GB SSD, 2TB Caviar Black, Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! For the love of my gunnery, a 109G-10 with the MG 151/20 instead of that 109K Mk 108 beast! I would also prefer a Merlin Spit, personally.

personally im fine with the 109K4 tbh...and after i heard the reason of why this plane was chosen, im more than happy.better and more detailed and reliable documents will give us eventually a plane which is closer to the real thing.

i really like that approach.

i really hope this kickstarter meets its goal.

PS: if i read it correctly, then we'll pay through amazon for the kickstarter?if thats the case, then im happy either, as this is the most convinient way for me...

A link to the kickstarter info page for anyone not sure about how it works:

http://www.kickstarter.com/start?ref=what_is_kickstarter

http://www.kickstarter.com/hello?ref=nav

Basically you give a promise of money that is only charged to your credit card/account after the campaign has successfully reached its goal amount and the funding period is finished.

Cant wait to see what options are available for the different levels of kickstarter pledges and to see the video and a little info about EDGE.

PC:

6600K @ 4.5 GHz, 12GB RAM, GTX 970, 32" 2K monitor.

what im also really interested is....what happens when the kickstarter campaign fails??

luthier mentioned, that they'll probably still be able to finish the core game...but what then?will it then still be for free?how do they then earn money?is there still a possibility that they can continue to work on the project, and push out all the modules we are hoping for?

or is there even the possibility that nothing at all will be developed?

Luthier?

yep,...if everything works out we'll be getting a 109K4

"We decided on the K-4 because it's the best documented 109. If we were to go with a G-something, margin of error would be a lot higher because source data has so many holes in it."

I think this will have much better "Chuck" that what we have seen in the KickStarter Kinney and his F-35, my assessment is that they are like the Mig-21bis or even much better (the Second World War has much fondness)

For Work/Gaming: 28" Philips 246E Monitor - Ryzen 7 1800X - 32 GB DDR4 - nVidia RTX1080 - SSD 860 EVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 2 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Warthog / TPR / MDF

No reason to worry - this kickstarter campaign will succeed. The only question is to what extent it will do so. The more lofty stretch goals might not be immediately obtainable but that's rather the degree/extent of icing we'll be getting on our rather delicious cake.

I'm with you on that matter. Absolutly hated the MK108 in IL2.

So 109F was nicknamed 'Frederic', 109G-'Gustav' what about the 109K?

Kris, Klaus, Karl, Kaiser??

So how many WW2 planes are documented well enough to model them in a similar fashion to the P51?

This seems to be the elephant in the room.

Kurfurst.

Have to agree with others that something like a G-14 would be a far more desirable 109 variant. The K-4 seemed a bit of a departure from the quintessential 109 design of a highly maneuverable fighter.

Lets not forget the Emil! That badass of the Battle of Britain is worthy of a DCS sim, too bad its probably not going to be done for the same reason as the Gustav.

Oh well. A 109 is a 109.

If I recall correctly the Kurfürst was the one with the retractable tail gear.

In any case, the thought of a 109 makes me about as happy as this guy.

I wouldn't take past simulations to be any guide as to how the 109K should perform relative to the G models. Although it is 500lbs heavier than a 109G-6 at loaded weight, it has *a lot* more power, and its reputation for ungainliness is partly attributable to the 109K-4s that were delivered with gondola cannon.

We will see, though. If Luthier says it is a better choice because of the data quality then it should be good, regardless.

P-51D | Fw 190D-9 | Bf 109K-4 | Spitfire Mk IX | P-47D | WW2 assets pack | F-86 | Mig-15 | Mig-21 | Mirage 2000C | A-10C II | F-5E | F-16 | F/A-18 | Ka-50 | Combined Arms | FC3 | Nevada | Normandy | Straight of Hormuz | Syria

And if we get the ontion to change the 109's mk 108 nosecannon with the mk 151/20 high velocity 20mm model like in real life then it will be even more maneuverable.

Yep I imagine that if users could change swap the not wholly reliable 30mm out for the 20mm and remove the gondola pods that would probably be a more favoured configuration for dogfighting.

Yep, I have a feeling I will be making my first kickstarter contribution... missed out on Star citizen and decided against the F-35. The info we are given tomorrow will decide that, hopefully there will be plenty to show.
