ATC doesnt work in MP now.. so...

 

I just radio ATC to make myself look more professional...

I think a lot of people just ignore it anyway in the state it is in, but then again pulling the ATC out of the game might not be an option. Might take more work than it is worth or might break something else - like rearming/refueling, etc.

 

My understanding though is that it was intended for 1.2.5, but obviously something went wrong? If so, I doubt we will be waiting for 1.2.6 for ATC if this is the case.

Just out of curiosity, what are people's biggest issues with the current ATC? Uh-oh. I hear a can of worms being opened.:smilewink:

I haven't used ATC in at least two years. Deleting the option from the menus will likely not break anything but it will avoid people thinking it works.

So its delayed, not abandoned or anything like that... they know it needs work.

These two videos pretty much demonstrate the problem. I've had my stuff pushed in by a C-130 before thanks to ATC clearing us both for the runway.

Ok, to sum up my feelings about today's update:

 

The good:

 

-6DOF pit for Toad. Not that I actually fly her, but looks pretty good nonetheless.

 

-Engine smoke effects. Look nice and add realism. Me likes!

 

-And Mi-8 in 1.2.6? Woooooooa! :rotflmao:

 

The bad:

 

For me, personally, it's the lack of info about performance - currently DCS' biggest sore. Not much to expect here before EDGE I'm afraid.

 

 

And by the way, DCS and Steam achievements, really? Can't wait to get Senior Experienced Chute Rider Achievement - for successfully ejecting 1000 times. Ah well...:unsure:

I love steam Achievements. IF done right [but it does depend on the game in question] it can make the game fun and rewarding.
