I'm sure it's great but I don't want to buy a console just for GTAV. Also, I can't deal with console controllers :P They are not compatible with me LOL!

That's a pretty unreliable source. Also the box is most likely their own work. I doubt that GTA V will use games for windows live, as that is closing in next July. Also, 25pounds? Realy? :D

Got GTAV for Xbox, I wasn't ready for the 8Gb install. Had to delete a lot of crap from my meagre 20Gb hard drive. Wishing i'd got it for my dust magnet PS3 instead.

 

The game is right up there with San Andreas for me, going to be spending a lot of time ignoring people while couched out. Considering I only use consoles for driving and GTA, until FM5 comes out this will do very nicely.

Cool!!! Thats exactly what I tell folk and the only two games I have is GTA5 and of course FM4.

 

Nothing for me has come close to beating the driving experience in FM. :thumbup: :smilewink:

Well, broke down, me and the kids gathered up all our old games, bagged them up and headed to EB, had enough for GTAV and BF4 preorder... plus a little extra to spare on a gift card :)

After bingeing heavily on it I do have some gripes with the game. I know it might sound sacrilege considering how annoying it was in GTA 4... but I kind of miss having in game characters call to hang out. I agree that something needed to be changed, but they made it so it completely relies on the player to initiate the call. There are a few other things from GTA 4/previous games that don't seem to be present that I kind of miss:

-unable to type in phone numbers on cell phone

-police cars don't seem to have computers with searchable police records

-doesn't seem to be any vehicle specific missions to get money with. ie, no missions associated with stealing police vehicles, fire trucks, or ambulances.

 

Also its incredibly stupid that you have to sign into the rockstar social club to save photos taken with your in game smartphone. Apparently there is an app associated with the game that is currently only on iOS which allows for some other in-game interaction... Something about being able to train your dog and probably other stuff.

It paints a sorry picture of the world when its likely the top billing game of all time is based around being a 'good' criminal. Sure there's more to the game than just that & I can understand the Psychology behind the fantasy of doing something virtually that you would never consider doing IRL but still ..

 

If anyone is injured or killed IRL because of the crazies/lonely/attention seekers etc out there I have to wonder if its worth it. Free will and all that, sure. Its a debate that will rage on for years to come & maybe its because I have young kids, but I think some of the scenes in GTA5 have overstepped the mark. You don't need realism to quote immersion to make a good playable game. My 2 cents.

it says 18+ on the box, its not meant for kids, if you are afraid of your kids being exposed to it, dont buy them the game. In my opinion, games that and realistic depiction of real life combat, like arma ace or project reality, even DCS (not call of duty and battlefield) are much more dangerous toward kids than something like GTA, and aggression in kids comes from the difficulty of the game, a difficult game will make you frustrated i.e. aggressive, and it can even be a game that is rated 3+ .

 

The subject needs a lot of studies, but unfortunately there arent any serious ones happening.

Now comes the magic trick ! There are idiots and fools (probably more then thousands) that will buy the game 3 times.

 

I bought GTA VC for PS2 and PC. GTA SA for PS2 and PC, GTA 4 for PS3,XBOX360 and PC, GTA 5 for PS3 and will buy for PC.

On the same coin, I have purchased EVERY available DCS module to date. Even though I don't plan on touching some of these modules ever again. It's showing support and gratitude to a product you really believe in.

I was playing GTA5 on release day and wondering if a thread would be started on here. Yer all not one to disappoint. :D

 

I'm really astounded at how incredibly detailed the world is, and how much performance they were able to eek out of hardware this old.

 

I wish flight sims were popular enough to earn that kind of development money. :(

I don't hate and it was never my intention to insult you. Its just a cheap way of tricking People into buying the product multiple times. If the customers wantsen to show his support why not release for all platforms at the same time and let them decide how many copies they buy. They don't because they know they wouldnt sell as much

Players should stop calling the ones that don't play/like their game "haters". I don't like GTA V, though I'm not gonna rumble through forums to insult devs and players. I also don't like the apology of violence... Druid and karambiatos have both a pretty good point.

It might be a game, but I feel that these days, we can do a lot of things just because it's a game... It's not even the fact that it's a PEGI 18 game, for example, Dishonored is 18+, I play it and I love it, because I know that I have the choice to kill or not at least, I can decide to play under fair rules for myself.

In GTA V, you are forced to torture. I used to play Vice city when I was 12 with a friend and well... it was fun to bring a tank in the street (everybody like to blow **** up!:thumbup:), but after 8 hours of gameplay, I found the game completely boring and pointless, I mean there was no goal but kill peoples for nothing. :(

 

Still it's a cool looking game (from what I saw) for a console game!

 

I'm not here to flame, I think the ED forumers are mature enough to play this game or not, that's just my 2 cents as well. I wouldn't buy it for my 10 yrs old kid if I had one that's for sure.
