Absolutely, here you go : http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/602470/

I guess it is the profile you talked about. ;)

It's a shame it doesn't have a two stage trigger... otherwise the stick config may have been almost as authentic as the real warthog.

Agree.

This and some actual 3 stages toggles would have been welcome.

This X-55 turn to be a nice quality product for the price though.

Enjoying mine a lot ;)

New software update out :

http://www.saitek.com/uk/blog/index.php/v-7-0-33-91-x-55-rhino-h-u-d-software-released/

Seems like they fixed the latched and repeat issue.

I guess I have to redo my profile then ^^

I got mine in yesterday and its broken :( hahaha Fail!

Its not getting any input from the stick unless I put some force down on the stick itself. I can get it to work every now and then by twisting the stick some, but its sucks. Put in a ticket about it and probably wont hear from them till Monday! BOOOOO!!!!!

Other than that, I love the feel of it. I love the duel throttles. I love all the switches, I hate that there is no pinky switch + mode 1/2/3 in the software anymore and I hate the new little mouse nipple on there. It's a step down from the x52 in that area.

I love the feel of it but I was a bit dissapointed that the package I got from Amazon looks like it was opened before. Like the tape was clearly cut and then repackaged again to look like it was new

Also I noticed that even after calibration, the X axis on the stick is still a little bit off to the left which cause the aircraft to start rolling left on the start of the mission - I have to set a deadzone for it. Anyone else experiencing this or is it a result from the "opened package" before.

Also, anyone successfully map the slider button for zoom? Not sure how to do that with the new software.

I was really excited about this one until I read it hasn't double trigger and the fire button is located above a POV Hat.

For a Joystick that is a new design and for the price it has for me those two design errors are unacceptable.

It should have the fire button below POV Hat, have double trigger and FFB.

Just my opinion. Regards.

Neither of those have been an issue for me so far, as for comparison with the TM Warthog, I think if I knew I could afford the Warthog, I would have went with it, that said, I am very happy with the X-55, and I dont feel like I settled for less.

@gothicghost Do you have rudder pedals? That is something to consider as well, as the Warthog doesnt have a twist axis for rudder pedals, you would need to invest in those at some point where as the X-55 does have this and can be used decently for rudders.

At this time saving for the TM hotas but is about £100 more then the x-55.

I am not sure if I should just go for the x-55.

I play the a10c.

TH Warthog, definitely. Even if you don't have rudder pedals. You can assign the antenna switch (or whatever it's called) for them.

The TM Warthog is just the best off the shelf HOTAS you can get. There's nothing like it when flying the A-10C.

Has anyone tested both the X-55 and TM Warthog to compare if one is better for flying helos? I know the MS FFB2 is probably the best choice with it's FFB trim but I keep missing out on them on e-bay, so I'm wondering if I went with the Warthog if it would be best for the A-10C but not as good as the X-55 for helos, due to the fact that the latter can have the spring removed to make it nice and loose?

I have the warthog and it's quite difficult to maintain quality control when flying the UH1.

The Black Shark and Mi-8 are ok because of SAS, but the american chopper is really hard to control.

I haven't been able to have good results in the slingload missions because the joystick is really stiff and making small delicate corrections is a pain.

I also have an 15 year old Microsoft Sidewinder 2 (non-FFB version) and I get amazingly better results when flying the Huey when I use it, because it's incredibly smooth and soft.

The warthog is a good joystick if you mount in between your legs the way it was meant to be used. However, using in on top of a table, like I use, makes it a lesser candidate to fly helicopters.

I don't know if I'd recommend it if you intend yo fly a lot of helos. A softer joystick could make you happier.

My 2 cents. :)

Thanks dok_rp, that's really helpful.

I was concerned that the Warthog might not be ideal for flying helos and it sounds like I was right to be.

I'll keep looking for a FFB2 for helos and maybe get a X-55 or Warthog in the future for the A10-C and other planes.

The X55 was announced on my local suppliers web-shop here in Norway so I ordered it straight away  I was planning on waiting for the Massdrop offer but it takes to much time both to order there and for the order to arrive. I'm still waiting for some sunglasses sent almost a month ago from Massdrop ;)

I fly DCS BS and I have a warthog also, I have no problems with controlling it. My warthog is side stick mounted like the F-16. I don't understand how your other stick is more smooth then the warthog, I found the warthog to be the smoothest hotas I have ever used, but that's the difference between people.
