It does not accept keyboard or joystick inputs.
yakiniku replied to yakiniku's topic in General Bugs
After reverting DCS to version 2.9.19.13478, both keyboard and joystick inputs returned to normal. It seems there is indeed some kind of bug in the new version. -

On my end the mirrors look great now and performance is good too. I use 1024 every frame option (for both HUD and mirrors) and sequential mirrors option unchecked and like this I can get stable 120 fps (vsync limit & monitor refresh rate) while in flight however it does dip a bit into ~80-100 fps over large cities/forests... I think I haven't seen fps dip under ~80 or so which is ok by me. Mind you I also increase render distances for shadows as well as shadow map to 8196 in shadows.lua file (which is why my fps is bit lower over large & dense forests). Thanks for making this into reality ED!

Hi MAXsenna! I'm still very green with DCS. I feel I'm "shaking" too much, and I have some difficulty pressing knob or button in the cockpit. Instead with a fix view and help with the zoom I feel more comfortable. Example in the FA18 I have difficulty operating the radar because of all the shaking in the view. I realize as well that I can't look behind me because of restriction in my head movement. Thanks for the reply Any suggestion?

I thought I removed that mod, but is it still there? How do I delete it? Thank you for your quick response. -

Sorry we need a track file to take a look at this, thanks. -

The control settings have not been deleted. On this screen, it does not even respond to key inputs. Naturally, both the keyboard and joystick work fine outside of DCS. -

Thats how I look at games, go to the Cinema, I dont know what price it is across the globe but probably $20 here in Aus, for max 2 hours. Plus you only get to see it once and you dont get your money back if it is absolutely trash. Although I dont use Steam for DCS, I do refund mis-sold garbage elsewhere. Dont think I have once regretted a DCS Module, I may not use them but thats my issue, possibly done less than 10 hours in the Mirage for example, but dont regret buying it.

Since this update, the loading screen has become stuck. I can't even remember what unofficial mods I installed and which folder they were in. I've removed all the mods I installed with GME and performed a compatibility check on Steam but there was no change. thank you dcs.log

MiG-29A Fulcrum Launch The full-fidelity MiG-29A enters DCS with a study-level focus on aircraft systems, flight model, sensors, weapons, and outstanding graphics. Designed as a point air-defense fighter, the export 9.12A variant pairs a capable radar and an Infrared Search and Track (IRST) system with an agile platform and deadly weapons. The result is a machine that lives for the merge, yet remains lethal in beyond-visual-range engagements. Why does the Fulcrum matter? Since its introduction, the MiG-29A became a cornerstone of many Cold War and post-Cold War air forces. In capable hands, the Fulcrum can be a deadly opponent, even to other modern 4th generation fighters. Upon the fall of the Iron Curtain and exposure of western fighter pilots to the Fulcrum, it was soon discovered what a powerful opponent it could be in-close given its R-73 “Archer’ and HMS combination. In DCS, the Fulcrum will provide a particularly deadly adversary in Cold War scenarios just employing semi-radar active homing and infrared guided missiles. The MiG-29A is operated by Russia, Poland, Bulgaria, former East Germany/Germany (later transferred to Poland), Czechoslovakia/Czech Republic/Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Moldova, former Yugoslavia/Serbia-Montenegro, India, Bangladesh (export 9.12B), Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Mongolia, North Korea, Myanmar, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Algeria, Egypt, Sudan, Azerbaijan, Yemen, Eritrea,Cuba; and the United States acquired a small number for evaluation and adversary training. Many of these liveries are included in DCS. Early Access Highlights Fully interactive cockpit built from 3D laser scans and photogrammetry with precise switchology and labeling. Highly-detailed external model and pilot with Helmet Mounted Sight. In-depth system simulation including the SPO-15LM Beryoza radar warning receiver and flare/chaff dispensers. Fire Control Radar with both aerial search and track modes. IRST with Laser Range Finder (LRF) that supports close air combat modes and air-to-air and air-to-ground ranging. Helmet Mounted Sight (HMS) that can cue air-to-air missiles by just looking at the target. Air-to-air weapons: R-27R, R-27ER, R-27T, R-27ET, R-73, R-60, R-60M, and the GSh-30-1 30mm cannon. Ground attack modes for unguided bombs, canisters, and rockets including pre-designate, non-pre-designate, and toss deliveries. Navigation suite with Point-to-Point, Return, Landing, and Traffic Re-Entry modes. Program up to three airfields, three waypoints, and three RSBN beacons with Data Transfer Card (DTC) support. Gyro system with Fast and Long alignments, basic IFF modeling, an Early Access Guide, and Interactive Training missions. Cyrillic and English cockpit labels and avionics options. Units of measurement can also be either metric or imperial. The ´first week MiG-29A patch’ swaps the cannon and missile trigger animations, corrects intake louver animation, adds an optional lower-resolution cockpit texture set, refines chaff and flare sequencing, restores the controls indicator overlay, addresses repair behavior after belly landings, and provides an English HUD and HDD option; a dedicated-server IFF client issue is identified and queued for resolution. Known items in work include visual autopilot stick oscillations at low speed, landing and taxi light leakage, brake-chute visibility for other clients, FCR launch inhibition without an LA cue, ejection and muzzle flash visuals, CAJ logic with jamming, an imperial IAS indicator anomaly, and a large 3D detailing pass covering textures, stencils, bays, IRST, dispensers, seat, LODs, FLIR textures, additional national liveries, improved pylons, canopy reflections, and an enhanced pilot model. What is coming? Ground Control Intercept (GCI) command system. Full IFF modeling and full flight manual. Radar and IRST cooperative mode options. An Eagle Dynamics campaign, more missions, and liveries. Improved ejection seat with more detail and animations (see image above). How to fly it? The MiG-29A features a highly maneuverable lifting body, impressive nose authority, and a high thrust-to-weight ratio that can maintain energy in a fight. Combined with the HMS and R-73 high off-boresight capability, it will be a challenge to anyone in a phone booth with it. The IRST stealthiness and immunity to jamming can also make it a deadly sniper. Leverage the Return and Landing modes to get home and land quickly, even to non-programmed airfields (Landing mode). Master these strengths of the Fulcrum, and you’ll see why the Fulcrum became an icon. Bye Phant

Yes, your instruction really helped me as well. Now I'm consistently landing on the deck, almost never boltering. Thanks for taking the time to write it all out for us! Good day! DrDetroit

Hm, I agree about ED probably modelling the RWR badly by adding this inability to use it while radar is on, I think this effect is not how they came by default but by lack of maintenance, so I think ED should change this to match the intended/default function of it and not the effect of lack of maintenance as it is now. If it stays like it is now RWR is pretty much useless and maybe I'm wrong but I just can't see the logic of why Soviet engineers would make the 29 like this from factory as it makes use of RWR on 29 pretty much irrelevant.

Hi. When trying to export DTC parameters in the DTC interface (accessed from the ground crew menu while spawned in), the keystrokes will register as keybinds causing certain buttons to actuate switches (and the likes) in the cockpit. This has the potential to e.g. inadvertently retract the gear while on the ground as one types the letter G. Typing notes for points in the DTC interface does not trigger this issue. Reproduction: 1. Spawn a MiG-29. 2. Access the DTC interface from the ground crew menu. 3. Assign a point. Type something in the Notes section while deliberately hitting buttons that are mapped to an action, e.g. G for moving the landing gear lever. 4. Observe that nothing happens (in this example, the gear handle doesn't move). 5. Export the DTC. Name the file while deliberately hitting buttons that are mapped to an action (again e.g. G for the gear lever) 6. Observe that certain switches are moved in-cockpit (in this example, the gear handle would be moved). 7. Profit. Cheers.

First i want to point out that this is from Serbian pilots reports during interview after they have been shot at or shot down by USAF F-15C's mainly using 120B in Operation Allied Force in 1999. During first day of operation 24.03.1999 Pilot Nebojsa Nikolic had proper RWR warning that he is being locked and missile warning. Survived 3 fireballs from missiles. Pilot Predrag Milutinovic had two times lock warnings and missile warning. Later was locked from firendly KUB which he also had lock warning but no missile launch indication and that way got shot down in final landing aproach. 26.03. Pilots Slobodan Peric and Zoran Radosavljevic in their formation flight towards 2 pairs of F-15C's, only Zoran had SPO warning that they are being locked from their 2 o'clock, it is unknow if his radar was functional or not, but Slobodan's radar was malfunctioned and SPO also he is the one who survived to tell us that he only has seen 4 white missile trails and gave command to Zoran to defend also. 07.04. Pilot Boro Zoraja after take off had SPO go crazy in his headset, giving him missile warnings from 2 o'clock, he took off with radar enabled, managed to dodge first missiles, re committed to enemy, had one of targets locked at 30km after his SPO went crazy on him giving him missile warnings again but from 12 o'clock while hold target locked. This was in fact longest flight of Serbian AF during this operation and it lasted 40 minutes, his oponents were 3 F-15C. 08.04. Pilot Dragan Milenkovic almost same story as of Boro's but had two times missile warnings and lock on from his nose while having radar in search mode. So my personal option is that SPO-15 IRL is not this much bad as is now on MiG29A. Here is video from their story's.

The option to switch between USAF / USN skins for the new Mk83 AIR is only available on the dual rack. Not specific to any pylon, missing regardless of where either is equipped.

Well, currently the SPO15 doesn't work with MPRF either (pursuit or whatever its called). I mean its a maintenance manual, so not an operators manual. It does have the PRF timings in one section tho.
