F-14B Afterburner Problem with DCS 2.9.6.57650
RustBelt replied to DP Spaz's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Wait, you leave your sim computer on….you know what a mess a sim makes in your memory right? -

I have a bass shaker connected to an amp, which is connected a USB sound card. Picked it all up on Amazon a few years ago for a little less than $150 IIRC.

When they go so long between updates, a lot of disappointments stack up.

Whoa on the hostility brother. We’re just trying to solve a problem here. All I meant with that comment is I am versed in building PC’s, updating bios and drivers, and generally pretty good at troubleshooting. I know this CPU should be doing a lot better than it is. The 9950X3D is an objectively better CPU than the 14900K. The title represents exactly how I felt and in my first post I even said the uplift in other games was good. also on the thermals, if you do a quick search it says 95C at full load is normal. So I wasn’t quick to follow through with that. My highest is like 90C. Being my first X3D cpu I don’t know what to expect. the other comment you replied too wasn’t me btw.

А да, я не уловил))) (от Airplane Simulation Company). Ну тогда тоже рискованно покупать.

Hippo started following Crystal Super Vs Quest Pro
-
I posted the following as a new post, without realising this post already existed so reposting my own doubts and query here. On paper, the Super with its panels, lenses, eye tracking and audio seems like the ideal headset for Sim VR. I would probably have ordered one were it not for Pimax's poor historical QC record, and the ridiculous order wait time. My other concern is performance. Many YT videos are out stating that the CS can run very well at 72 fps if tweaked e.g. I am currently running my QP, with QV DFR, and am happy that I can finally hold 72 fps at what I consider to be high graphical settings in quite intensive situations (flying low over cities). Forgive me for being sceptical, but I don't believe that setting a 5% peripheral resolution (as stated @ 10:28 in the video) can possibly provide an acceptable visual experience. If my numbers are correct, at the Pimax quality setting (5100 x 4312 per eye), this results in a resolution per eye of 255 x 216 (equiv to running 5% over the entire panel). I am running my Quest Pro at 2704 x 2752 per eye and if I use less that 40% (equivalent 1082 x 1100), the shimmering in the peripheral area becomes too distracting. Even at the said 40% the shimmering from the F-18's engine gauge in the PA, which seems impossible to remove, irks me. I am also very happy with not having to use a face gasket with the QP, and am quite reluctant to go back to the discomfort of using one. So, has anyone out there gone from Quest Pro -> Crystal Super? What's been your experience? Can you run most scenerios at the Pimax quality setting without having to drop to reprojection? No regrets?

I'll surely contact the DTC developer too, DCS DCT is a very common software and it a valid sobstitute of ingame DCS DTC, here's the link, but i think you know it: https://github.com/the-paid-actor/dcs-dtc For the moment i've to tirn off dcs2target until found something useful... thanks in any case. Andrea.

Just a few days ago I saw the insurgent rpg fire the artillery shell.

Mirage F1B/BE missing livery, worng number

The B for EC 1/30 Alsace is not appearing for me either when using "France" as country. Going "combined...." only adds the Draken skin. -

Sorry I didn't save the track, next time I will include it so I'm not ashamed of myself throwing up a post like this. But for the information needed , this was from an air-spawn mission I made to practice carrier landings . No other aircraft involved , no take off damage.

That is quadviews in action, fortunately you have options to adjust them or simply turn them off.

correct as is Unrealistic GMT radar? DCS is too good?
Hobel replied to lee1hy's topic in Bugs and Problems
And where in your source does the GMT representation contradict that in DCS? It is a symbolic simplification to make the moving target more recognizable to the pilot amid the noise. The representation in DCS is correct. -
Can you provide a link to DCS DTC? Is it purely software or does it need any hardware, iPad etc? I not going to promise a solution. I am on holiday this week and have Slugmouse orders to manufacture and ship in my return, then folk from the other F-16 simulator that require some software changes. Then I can take a look at this. However, I very much doubt there is anything I can do, about 0.1% chance and my code only reads data. Have you raised this with the DCS DTC developer?

Testing thermals and system stability should be the first thing you do after installing OS + drivers. If you failed to do that, you are still a novice. And you've been a novice for 10 years sadly. Your ignorant conclusion (thread title) is misinforming other community members: x3D CPUs have been known to punch way above their weights in simulation games. Do you really think the CPU with the highest L3 cache is somehow worse than a known to be defective/unstable CPU? Please stop taking this personally, use this opportunity to up your PC building skill. I'm not saying this is all your fault, it could still be a defective component. But you need to do your due diligence first. Once you have a stable system, you can use Curve Optimizer to undervolt the CPU for even better thermals and idle draw. FYI, my thermals I posted above are on a dual tower air cooler, with no contact frame, and 3 year old thermal paste.

I get these transparent shades, one for each eye. They're worse when looking to a bright background. Sometimes, looking at darker BG, they get a bit brighter. Wut is dat? (I replicated the artifact in photoshop, and it is a tad exaggerated, but they look just like that, except they are centered.)

Dcs2target 25/04/14, TQS bought the last week, so i've downloaded the last firmware and TARGET software available. Sorry, the reason reported in the last message was ai generated only to help, because i've no idea, but the reality is unchanged: if i want to navigate through DCS DTC i can't use DCS2target and viceversa. Could you give me a chance to use them togheter? Thanks a lot.
