  2. That is actually correct as is, based on publicly available information on the ARC-210 radio. Unfortunately the radio is completely undocumented in the DCS A-10C II manual, however there is an excellent guide from Stuka and the 476 vFG that you can find here: Of note, in the frequency range from 136.000 MHz to 155.975 MHz, the ARC-210 defaults to frequency modulation but allows for a manual switch to amplitude modulation, while the lower frequencies from 108 MHz to 135.975 MHz default to amplitude modulation. You can toggle the modulation with the AM/FM switch on the ARC-210 control head, you can set it in the preset tab in the Mission Editor, and you can toggle it in the COMM -> ARC-210 PRESETS MFCD page.
  3. Hi Rudel, Thank you for the offer, Track file attached. I confirm I have checked my bindings cannot see anything else using the joystick setting and its pitch, that is not working on take off. I have yanked the stick a bit and it blacked me out, never seen that before. It flies fine if started in the air. No rush, I have to go out for a while . Thank you LastMissionTrack.trk
  4. I sat firmly in the SP only camp for many years with DCS. I did try joining a couple of groups for MP but the experience was absolutely a turn off for me. Lots of people already commented on the perils of public server MP so I won't rehash negatives here again. Some 2+ years ago, I met a guy here on the forum where we shared some similar hardware and he helped me configure for DCS (VR Headset). We hit it off and along with one of his buddies formed a friendship. We fly weekly (across different time zones) and formed a lasting friendship. I create the DCS content and host the server for us. I can't express the amount of fun, learning and satisfaction I've received from this coop style of DCS I get from this group. SP just isn't the same anymore. I highly encourage people to seek out friends to enjoy this type of play. As for what might bring more people into MP, I think this depends on the individual. For me, I'd suggest: - More MP content. There's a disproportionately low amount of public MP content out there. - Socialize MP content on video sharing services. If people could see the kind of fun a MP session generates, it might encourage more people to participate or try MP. for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6MpA3F3Q5s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28QYzjLO084 - Recognition from ED, possibly in newsletter, of available content to download and highlighted public servers - Better MP scripting within ME - Official Support for MP campaigns in ME and Campaign infrastructure - ED encourages/creates a payware MP campaigns The mission highlighted in those videos is here for anyone interested - https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3342301/
  5. I was getting better at it with my Orion2 and Kaltokri Rhino FFB, these aren't really comparable to short(er) throw CH peripherals though Since apparently people can make do with basic gear and even keyboard, Hovering like a pro seems more a learning curve than a gear problem ...speaking of curves, have you tried setting custom curves? Because 1 basic is tiny movements, which are easier with a longer throw, but having a short stick using longer sloped curves might compensate a bit ...your link doesn't show me an actual product btw
  6. Hi Leg2ion I have 3 1440p monitors side by side So one left one middle and one right I am using the unmodified 3Cameras monitor setup file which used to work until it didn't ^^' It's really weird. And it just gets weirder the more I look at things Here's what it should look like / How it looks when I alt tab out of the game Here's what I see when focused on the game And here's a screenshot from windows when tabbed out of game Third one is news to me I see the left monitors image displayed on middle monitor while a screenshot just shows black
  7. Fair question. I've always found the FARPs a little hit and miss when it comes to ATC. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  8. Interesting. Disagree with 3. I've always refueled in auto, have never considered anything else. Piece of cake really as long as I trim for the speed. Gotta try the bomb mode now to see if there's any difference. [emoji6] I use FFB. Maybe that plays a role. Never tried AAR in the Turkey without FFB. Cheers! 10. There are not stupid questions, Yes I had the previous version, I just installed the new one, changed nothing and that has worked previously. And the a/c flies great if I start in the air.

  12. We definitely need more RedFor assets, however I have mixed feelings about more FC modules. From a strictly marketing perspective, I figured if the development time for a FC module is significantly less than a FF module, then the best approach would have be bring back the MAC concept and give servers the option of hosting both.
  13. Or perhaps ED changed the scope of the project, after potentially realising their initial plans are quite limited? GFM was said to use the current AI FM but augmented by “short-term” behaviour taken from PFM/EFM, meaning GFM would not change anything for AI planes that don’t have a full-fidelity version. And given the amount of AI planes that indeed don’t have a player-controllable version, a more generalised GFM requires a lot more work than they might initially have planned for. In any case, I for one expect a lot from GFM, as it’s one of the most needed improvements and considering it’s already years past ED’s self imposed deadline.
  14. Hi @Veen. What is your PC monitor setup, and what is your monitor setup file showing (not sure what 'DCS in focus in middle monitor' means?). Ideally you need to align your monitors in your PC, then transfer those settings to your monitor setup and in game settings. This is a really good guide albeit the end result is to export MFDs - but gives a really good basic setup:

  17. UNBELIEVABLE! THIS 'IMMERSIVE' HUEY CAMPAIGN IS A JOKE! I PAID FOR VIETNAM, NOT A RETIREMENT VILLAGE! I HAVE JUST COMPLETED THE FIRST THREE MISSIONS OF THE NEW UH-1H CAMPAIGN, AND I AM ABSOLUTELY APPALLED AT THE LEVEL OF GROSS NEGLIGENCE DISPLAYED BY THE CAMPAIGN DESIGNER. I DIDN'T BUY A $10 CAMPAIGN AND SPEND HOURS DOWNLOADING AND SETTING UP MY COLLECTIVE FOR THIS KIND OF AMATEUR-HOUR PERFORMANCE. WHEN I FLY THE HUEY, I AM CHASING THE IMMERSION—THE GRIT, THE DANGER, THE HISTORICAL FIDELITY! I AM LOOKING FOR THE ATMOSPHERE OF A DESPERATE, JUNGLE-CHOKED CONFLICT! AND WHAT AM I GETTING? I AM GETTING A TOURIST TRAP! THE GOLF COURSE INCIDENT DURING MY LOW-LEVEL INSERTION INTO WHAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A HOSTILE LZ (LANDING ZONE), I WAS FORCED TO MOMENTARILY SKIM A CLEAR-CUT AREA. AND WHAT DID MY EYES BEHOLD? A PERFECTLY MANICURED, PRISTINE, 18-HOLE GOLF COURSE. IN 1968?! IN THE MIDDLE OF A CONFLICT ZONE?! NO! ABSOLUTELY NOT! A GOLF COURSE IS THE VISUAL EQUIVALENT OF A LOUD, JARRING COMMERCIAL INTERRUPTING A SERIOUS FILM. IT COMPLETELY SHATTERED THE FRAGILE HISTORICAL CONTEXT THAT MY MIND WAS FIGHTING TO MAINTAIN. I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FOCUSED ON ENEMY ACTIVITY, BUT INSTEAD, I WAS MENTALLY CALCULATING THE HANDICAP OF THE PIXELATED NPCS WHO WOULD PLAY THAT COURSE. IT INSTANTLY CHEAPENED THE ENTIRE OPERATION. MY CREW CHIEF EVEN JOKED ABOUT LANDING FOR A QUICK NINE HOLES. MY IMMERSION WAS VAPORIZED! THE UNFORGIVABLE SUV BLIGHT BUT THE MOST GRIEVOUS, HISTORICALLY INACCURATE, AND UTTERLY INSULTING PIECE OF DIGITAL GARBAGE IS THE VEHICLE TRAFFIC! FLYING LOW OVER THE FEW PAVED ROADS—WHICH, BY THE WAY, ARE FAR TOO PERFECT AND NEED SOME SERIOUS SHELL-HOLE DISTRESSING—I SAW SEVERAL MODERN, BLOATED, FOUR-DOOR SUVS DRIVING AROUND! HMMVS! IN A HUEY CAMPAIGN SET DECADES BEFORE THESE ROLLING LAND YACHTS EVEN EXISTED! THIS ISN'T JUST A MINOR OVERSIGHT; IT'S AN ACT OF HISTORICAL VANDALISM! IT PULLED ME OUT OF THE COCKPIT SO VIOLENTLY I NEARLY DUMPED THE COLLECTIVE! MY ENTIRE FLIGHT PROFILE WAS RUINED TRYING TO UN-SEE A GREEN HUMMER PUTTERING ALONG A ROAD THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN CRATERED AND PACKED WITH ANCIENT MILITARY TRUCKS! THE TRUE DISGRACE: LACK OF ATMOSPHERE I PAID FOR BLOOD, SWEAT, AND ROTOR WASH. I PAID FOR THE PALPABLE SENSE OF DANGER AND ISOLATION. WHAT I GOT WAS AN ENVIRONMENT THAT LOOKS LIKE A CHEAP SET FOR A B-GRADE 90S ACTION MOVIE. THE DEVELOPERS NEED TO IMPLEMENT AN IMMEDIATE HOTFIX THAT: REPLACES ALL GOLF COURSES WITH HISTORICALLY ACCURATE, OVERGROWN RICE PADDIES OR HEAVILY MINED SCRUBLAND. SCRUB THE ENTIRE ASSET LIBRARY OF ANY VEHICLE MANUFACTURED PAST 1975. IF IT ISN'T A BEAT-UP JEEP, AN M-35, OR A BIKE, IT DOESN'T BELONG! DULL THE COLORS. EVERYTHING IS TOO VIBRANT. THE JUNGLE NEEDS MORE SHADOWS. THE ROADS NEED MORE MUD. THE COLOR OF THE ENTIRE MAP IS TOO CHEERFUL. I NEED OPPRESSION! MY DEDICATION TO REALISM IS ABSOLUTE, AND I EXPECT THE SAME FROM THE DEVELOPERS. I’M CANCELING ALL MY PRE-ORDERS UNTIL THIS IS FIXED. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! SIGNED, Karen Karensdottir

  22. Hi Folks, to those of you flying yje Apache mod: is it easy to control with a regular HOTAS? I find it almost impossible to hover. Will a controller like this help? https://www.aliexpress.com/p/tesla-landing/index.html?scenario=c_ppc_item_bridge&productId=1005008636927632&_immersiveMode=true&withMainCard=true&src=google&aff_platform=true&isdl=y&src=google&albch=shopping&acnt=494-037-6276&isdl=y&slnk=&plac=&mtctp=&albbt=Google_7_shopping&aff_platform=google&aff_short_key=UneMJZVf&gclsrc=aw.ds&&albagn=888888&&ds_e_adid=&ds_e_matchtype=&ds_e_device=c&ds_e_network=x&ds_e_product_group_id=&ds_e_product_id=en1005008636927632&ds_e_product_merchant_id=5320985468&ds_e_product_country=GB&ds_e_product_language=en&ds_e_product_channel=online&ds_e_product_store_id=&ds_url_v=2&albcp=17859500389&albag=&isSmbAutoCall=false&needSmbHouyi=false&gad_source=4&gad_campaignid=17190468917&gbraid=0AAAAADznYb_yMYvcrQnyygWtbReVN6HCX&gclid=CjwKCAjwmNLHBhA4EiwA3ts3mU_Fxb3y24Ua79NZELmQOmyVOZ4W7SgeyZmMPXMf2u8phmkyBBqhIBoCFYQQAvD_BwE If it's possible to fly it with my existing HOTAS, I'd appreciate some tips. I just use CH kit - stick, pro throttle and rudder. Thanks in advance. Wolf
  24. I think implementing a system that credits you for manoeuvre kills won’t exactly be a trivial task. How do you determine what is a manoeuvre kill and what isn’t? Can that be easily defined using language that a computer understands? From what I hear, getting credit for manoeuvre kills in real life isn’t trivial either.
  25. Hello everyone. First off, I'd like to apologize for my likely poor English. It's not my native language, so I use a translator. So, after many years, the DCS F-16C has left Early Access. And that's great, because I really like this plane. But, unfortunately, some textures are still missing from the cockpit of this legendary aircraft. On the right console (engine control instruments), the screws textures are missing. These screws are present on all F-16C aircrafts, and they are clearly visible. There are many photos and videos of cockpits on the Internet, where you can see these screws. Anyone interested can view them. Understand that for some people these missing screws are trifles. But, at the same time, many others would like to see the most accurate Viper cockpit. In this thread, I published an official, highly detailed image of the F-16C block 50/52 cockpit. Perhaps this image served as a reference for you when modeling the cockpit. The next image is a close-up of the right panel of the first image, and the screws, which I've highlighted in red, are clearly visible. Dear developers, in the description of the F-16 module, you explicitly state: the most realistic model of the F-16C imaginable, down to each bolt and flake of paint... I can say that at the moment the description is not entirely accurate, as noticeable texture elements (in particular, screws on the right panel) are still missing. I realy hope that the esteemed developers will continue working on the module and that the Viper's cockpit will be as faithful to the original as possible: to each bolt and flake of paint. f16 cockpit.tif
  26. Hi Jself, Very nice cockpit !! Well done, congrat. And thanks for sharing. Just a question : as I have already Winwing DDIs and UFCP, I am interested in the other panels. Are they compatible with Winwing things ? Thanks
  27. Varies widely by years and regions. Some places practiced different light flashes before engine start for example. As for landing lights it's common to use them 24\7 on takeoff and landing.
