  1. Past hour
  2. No, work has continued. thank you
  3. Can't play right now. Has anyone checked what type of skins were added?
  4. Hi, I just bought the Afghanistan theater today and I think it's very well done. I have noticed some small details that I think are easy to fix, like giving a little more texture to these vehicles at the Kabul airport.
  5. Or you could just...open up the pilot's manual (standard cruise was on the order of 36in MAP @ 2150RPM). I haven't done any flying up at nose bleed altitude yet, everything has been in Low Blower range. I'll try making sure the cooler is open next time I fly. This has been an issue in flight sims for decades. I usually end up turning off engine overheats because the time for engines to cook off is almost always far too short, and the consequences much more severe. Like I'd said elsewhere, it almost always feels like it's an artificial/arbitrary player limiter, rather than a natural limit of the machinery itself.
  6. First off, forgive my frustration. I spent 8 years in the military so I understand the "this is how it's always been" or "this is just how we do things" and to both of those statements, and even more not even mentioned, I've always asked WHY?! They never liked it, but neither did I, so I never stopped asking. I always hated the "just shut up and do your job" because I felt it ends the conversation and cuts off all opportunity for further learning and expanding for all parties involved. But I do understand why that is absolutely necessary sometimes as well. Can't have someone asking a million questions when SHTF and you need to act fast. Not to get too deep, but I think this bleeds into a bigger societal issue as well. We are often told to shut up and just go with the status quo. I don't like that anymore so I have to ask why. I should have been more clear before. I like learning and knowing all aspects of everything, especially everything related to flight and this sim has helped me learn a lot of things. When I see something in it that confuses me in DCS I have to ask someone - is it a bug, is it a real world issue, is it operator error (me - which a lot of times it is), or is it an oversight? I know most people just want to hop in the sim and fly and don't care one way or another, which is fine, but I need to know for some reason. Different strokes for different folks I suppose. Thank you for taking your time and effort to explain this all. I greatly appreciate it. Much respect. Thank you for your service as well!
  7. Hello everyone, Just noticed light illumination of part of right console not working (TACAN, UHF and IFF). It worked before as far as I remember and could not find any dedicated switch I could have missed... Cf picture Thank you, Arnaud
  8. Has the Razbam situation (which is gone into the ether) affected the South Atlantic map updates?
  9. Same issue. Tried 2 times and same log message also cannot open debriefing.
  10. Hi, track replays essentially record your inputs however AI can behave differently, depending on what they are doing.
  11. This is correct, as the NWS button shouldn't drop L&S designation. Pressing NWS should: - command return to search (RTS) if the radar is in STT. - step the L&S designation through valid, ranked trackfiles. - swap L&S and DT2 designations if both are present. If you want to remove the L&S in RWS, press RSET.
  12. Does anyone have any direct experience with both the Crystal Super and Quest Pro? Is it worth an upgrade?
  13. Hi everyone, after some testing I can assure that IRIST sam is not working as a IOG+IR missile, it is working as any other sam in the game that needs line of sight between TR and the TGT. Track and Tacview attached. Tacview-20250814-105235-DCS.zip.acmi IRIST works like a SARH SAM.trk
  14. Ah, gotcha. So it's acting a bit like an afterburner gate in say an F1. Thanks
  15. This seems odd, because I can consistently dodge mordern missiles like R73 and AIM9M using some tatics like droping flares at the missile FOV, furthermore, even AIM9X can be spoffed preflaring at missile FOV. Missile aspect is important also in those engagements.
  16. On a fresh mission we are unable to reproduce. Sadly your current tracks wont replay correctly, probably due to the complexity thank you
  17. DavidE

    BSB2

Has anyone taken delivery of the BSB2 yet, if so how does it perform. I see that deliveries are starting to trickle through.Mine is in the later batch as I ordered it with the halo strap
  18. Thanks. I did not expect that. But what youre saying is, as the TGP is not replaced, it would stay on then. Which confirms that the behavior of the current rearming process is correct.
  19. I love this mission (4.1 version but there is no 4.1 topic right?) Though I have an issue, unsure if this is intended or not, but the girl who is the agent with us in the mission is not shown in our helicopter, is it normal? And the soldier who is running to us is male, not female. So wonder if this is intended in the mission, if this is a bug, or if this is just because I miss some assets. Thanks
  20. AI decisions/actions aren't recorded. The AI is still "alive" in the replays. Essentially the only thing being replayed is your aircraft.
  21. Thanks a lot. I was asking for a roadmap to get an idea which features are still in the planning and which ones are probably not, although they might be highly anticipated by users already using the external DTC app. If there was a "MFD configuration" drop down or a greyed out button showing that its in the planning for that feature, me and probably many other users would be glad to know its in the making
  22. First thing I look at when a patch come. And I agree. Not much to brag about. Chinook work well in a server where logistics matters. Radio presets seem to be the one killing the fun for most. For those using SRS. For what I use it, I like to get ADF working. A better damage model might also be a good idea. Glad it’s being worked on
  23. I am having trouble with Pitch. It doesn't seem to work on my keyboard or stick. I can adjust the pitch with trim, but not with the controller. Did I miss something?
  24. Ar in this context is an abbreviation for anslagsrör, where the rör is not just any old pipe or tube but a tändrör (fuze). So zonar expands to zonanslagsrör, a proximity fuze that also contains an impact fuze as a backup or secondary ignition mechanism. Swedish fuze designations can get pretty cryptic. Many people huge nerds may recognize the very common ö hk sar, which expands to ögonblickligt högkänsligt spetsanslagsrör (immediate high-sensitivity nose-mounted fuze) which was and is used on a lot of direct-fire cannon shells, but there's all sorts of weird and exotic fuzes if you go far enough back. I recommend the terminology section of the munitions catalogue for this (see e.g. page 21 of Ammunitionskatalog för Flygvapnet, 1984 - unclassified publication, has never been classified). The air force never had some of the really old and obscure stuff though; for that I recommend checking out a navy or army catalogue from the 1940's. With that exciting terminology discussion out of the way, I'll have to admit I don't know exactly why the HEAT rockets have a proximity fuze as an option. I have never seen a source that specifies what the detonation range is.
  25. Hi, can you reproduce in a simplified mission without scripts running? We are trying to reproduce currently but the size of the track and the scripts make it problematic. thank you
