HR-Crumble started following AMD upscaling in driver v in game
-
Hi all, Noticed after last weeks patch my MSAA settings (I set them all in driver rather than jn game as it gives vastly improved performance) are giving me more jaggies than usual so I revisited some settings and I’d like fellow AMD users thoughts with upscaling. I like upscaling and thought I’d give it another go as I prefer the rounder softer look but have the ghosting. Win some. Lose some. So for those that upscale on AMD kit do you set the upscaling in Adrenaline or in game? If you set it in adrenaline to override the game what settings do you leave in game? For ref: CPU 5800XT GPU 7800XT RAM 128 Gb

i've tried downloading FC3 Mig 29 & Su27 definitely not working for me and the FFMig 29 is not recognised as either of them, latest OB release 2.9.4. Just need to wait for the OB to be updated.

The HSI in the Viper is not exported by default, so you have to edit, (or use Helios to edit the files for you), in the core which breaks IC. In the Tomcat you have to use the provided names I guess. Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

Some amount of 9.12As were adopted for soviet/russian use and received ER upgrades:) Anyway, there's nothing bad in making the game a bit more casual, such changes surely differ way less from reality than Kh-23 on our MiG-21bis

Stick deflection limiter override default bind on the Y key. Could someone explain its function and where this button is located in the aircraft? If I understand correctly, its function is to enable override of the angle of attack limitation system. Was there something like this in a real airplane? I thought this system could be overridden with the control stick. That's why I was surprised to see a button here. Thanks for explaining.

Updater with Pause, PC shutdown and Selection options
Czar replied to BlasiusHun's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Hi, welcome to the forums. DCS doesn't work that way. Everything is mandatory as it is in a unified build. All modules are part of DCS core instead of being just an Addon. Separating updates for modules and maps from the core code would induce a lot of problems in compatibility besides would need a new system for multiplayer to check content outside player build. It wouldn't be fair, for example, if a plane had an overpowered wrong parameter prior to a patch and a player would just skip the update to have an upper hand against others. It is an environment where modules are more connected to the multiplayer and core functions than, let's say, an aircraft addon for MSFS. Something more in line with IL-2 BoX where aircraft updates are delivered on main builds, which makes sense as it is a combat sim as well. If you want to save bandwidth or time in a patch that updates several maps at once, this one was very unusual, you can: Cancel the update after checking the download size.(Steam: just hit pause on the download) Uninstall (Not just deactivate. Uninstall) the maps or some of the maps that are being updated through either Steam or the Launcher. (Steam: after pausing, just uncheck the box next to the map in the DLC manager window in DCS library section.) Resume update. Install each map on a later date when time allows. Fair skies. -
Well, ended up not only for poles but yes, exactly, why would they use other language. Talking about 29, the aircraft was inherited from GDR for german use only. And instead of making it in german it was translated into english. That's what I'm calling weird Fine, I'm sorry, but I wasn't mixing knowledge of english and professionalism so I found some irony to be appropriate. My point is written in a quote above by draconus quite nicely

Kdrum started following HOTAS Decision.

Hi all. I am faced with a dilemma. winwing failed to deliver half of a HOTAS set-up (both bases) and I am trying to decide if after I have saved enough money (again) should I order the missing bases again, or should I order a HOTAS from another company such as Moya or Thrustmaster. What are your thoughts?

Potential mistake in MiG-29A FAQ about R-27ER and R-27ET
kotor633 replied to quantum97's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
Hi, I have a question about A2A loadout: In the book Jane's How to Fly and Fight in the Mikoyan Mig-29 Fulcrum - Jon Lake - 1998, page 39, it says the following: null I'm a bit surprised that mixing the R-27(E)T and (E)R is no longer allowed in the FF Mig-29 loadout. I don't know to what extent this was actually used in practice, of course. But according to this article, it should have been possible. Or is it because we have an export version in DCS, and it wasn't possible there? Can anyone here comment on this? -
I was kinda assuming the MP servers overrode that setting?

Guten Abend, ist irgendjemandem klar, was unter Optionen - Special - Mig-29 dieses HMD SCAB Animation sein soll?

Those buildings really looked promising, were they ever released? would be great assets for the new maps.

The process of tracking the target with the Lock on depressed with the sighting reticle on the target is to "build" the target motion/wind speed info/correction. (its kind of like the process with an LCOSS gunsight ... tracking time is required to build the solution/correction). When you release the lock on button the correction determined by the tracking process is then applied to the CCIP pipper .. thats why you see it move slightly. You then move the now wind/motion corrected CCIP to the target and pickle. the Russian manual states that you have 10 seconds from lock on release to pickle. After 10 seconds the wind/motion correction is removed and the solution is then back to being a nil wind/motion CCIP. The Russian manual also states that best accuracy is shown at 4 seconds after lock on release. To me that implies that the correction is actually washed out to zero at the 10 second point. Exactly the same thing happens with the CCRP/delayed CCIP solution its just the correction is applied to the steering circle and release point. In all cases in any bombing method on any platform smooth methodical flying is required to achieve the best results. Rough rushed handling just doesn't give the WCS a chance to do its thing properly.

Mig29A Fuel difference between FC3 and FF

OpenKneeboard covers the majority of the use cases so all good there. The one in particular which was raised externally was the Vaicom kneeboard page however. This uses a bunch of lua code, although is displayed as another tab within the standard kneeboard, so not static content. Don't think OpenKneeboard handles that one unfortunately. I'll do some further testing around that one.
