mods conflict Editor issue: can't place flyable aircraft anymore
flyingscotsman replied to RAMPAGE's topic in Mission Editor Bugs
Thanks Rudel_chw, Glad I found this thread, I thought that when the ME lost it's aircaft box I was stuffed. Done all sorts, repair etc, delet map and re-install, then found this page. No idea when a dud Mod started to do this, Was used to dud Mod just stopped you getting the game going. Thanks anyway, even if it's an old fault. -
I've said before and I will say again... it is a broken and unsustainable business model. That is at the core of all the DCS "issues". ED gets an upfront payment for an early-access module packaged with the promise of future development efforts bringing the module to completion. Before that module is ever complete, another early access module is launched, and they get another upfront payment, which is necessary and they surely need to be able to continue to pay their staff. With each module launch, the amount of work required to bring the early access modules to completion, maintain the existing modules, and work on the core grows exponentially, all while needing to launch *another* early access module just to have an ongoing revenue stream to sustain the future efforts. It is crazy, and it doesn't work. The amount of maintenance required on existing modules and early access modules for which ED no longer collects revenue will eventually become unsustainable.

PSVR2 - now works with Eye Tracking and Quad Views!
Qcumber replied to proxlamus's topic in Virtual Reality
I'm looking forward to trying this out now. It looks like the halo mount will allow you to remove the face gasket like with the QP. @RealDCSpilot have you tried this? -

3 Wege schalter, 2 Wege Schalter, Drehregler.

reported already Troops embarking in DCS 2.9
NineLine replied to Abburo's topic in DCS: Combined Arms
Can you attach an example mission where you are having trouble? I can take a look. Thanks! -
Added to FAQ: Do I want this if I already own the Flaming Cliffs version? If you are a fan of simulation of complex real world systems, then yes, you very much want this. The Flaming Cliffs version for everything but FM is very simplified for ease of use, based on what Flaming Cliffs was meant to be. The MiG-29A Fulcrum will be like learning a new aircraft, from navigation to employing weapons and all the challenges expected for this complex Russian fighter.

PSVR2 - now works with Eye Tracking and Quad Views!
AlpineGTA replied to proxlamus's topic in Virtual Reality
Maybe I wasn't remembering correctly and was getting confused with my Quest 2. Thanks for the info. -
Oh, Maybe that's what I am seeing an extra bright Texture color. It almost looked like they were lit. Disregard if that's the case. Best Regards, -Woog

Iceviper started following Into the Jungle - Next Gen

Ah, I see, they are lit by the front flightdeck lights I guess. I don't recall rigging any lights for the numbers specifically. Or maybe it's a self illuminated texture, will have to check.

PSVR2 - now works with Eye Tracking and Quad Views!
Qcumber replied to proxlamus's topic in Virtual Reality
I switch between using VD and meta link frequently. The main issue I have with VD is that I see the edge of a black border when I moved my head quickly. VD is less glitchy. In terms of quality they are both very similar if you compare like for like. Both are choppy if FPS drops below refresh. Mainly noticeable low to the ground. I will see how I get on with the PSVR2. It sounds pretty good. - Today

PSVR2 - now works with Eye Tracking and Quad Views!
RealDCSpilot replied to proxlamus's topic in Virtual Reality
Yes. And with DFR now even better. Do you have to use Meta Link? Why not VD, isn't it the much better streaming option with VDXR etc.? -

You're bumping it in the wrong forum, the correct place is the weapon bugs forum. -
PSVR2 - now works with Eye Tracking and Quad Views!
Qcumber replied to proxlamus's topic in Virtual Reality
So if you set to 120 Hz and DCS runs at 70-90 FPS the image remains smooth? This does not happen with QP and Meta link. If I run below refresh it is very choppy. -
Du kannst mehrere Streamdecks verwenden. Jedes wird als eigenständiges Device erkannt. ich nutze mehrere in meinem setup ohne Probleme.

PSVR2 - now works with Eye Tracking and Quad Views!
RealDCSpilot replied to proxlamus's topic in Virtual Reality
@AlpineGTA The PSVR2 should not run "game in sync" with the panels refresh rates, that's the setting "throttling behaviour" in SteamVR per app video config. Just set the HMD to 120 Hz and they run in their best performing configuration totally independent from what fps your game and system is capable of. I guess this is what ruined your experience. On my end i let my VR headsets always run in their best possible refresh rate without locking the game to it. (not my best english explanations...) -
Is It Possible To Create An Airfield From Scratch In DCS ?
Chump replied to Karl1464's topic in How To Mod for DCS World
You can create a faux airfield with static objects/templates. Unfortunately, the ability to make it a permanent part of the map is not within our control (yet?). -
There is no lights in the deck for the numbers. The Numbers on the Island are lit though. -Woog

Would love to know if they plan radar overspill to RWR to be modeled on release so we will be unable to use radar and RWR at the same time And if we will ever get launch warning against Sparrow missiles. Perhaps with the “automatic” setting described above while stock doesn’t, to simulate the waveforms having been acquired and uploaded to its threat library
-
This is simply not true. They release modules to make money...period. Meanwhile, they're doing awesome work 'under the hood' with a small staff. BMS (though amazing in its own right) is a bit of a red-herring here. DCS is almost infinitely more complex. ED has one major problem as far as I'm concerned: They're spread too thin. The amount of deep content they offer is quite staggering. No one is ultimately paying them to develop Dyn Camp., Weather, ATC, etc.
