  1. Past hour
  2. Thanks for this, Im currently caught in an update storm. Nvidia, new MS update to address the corrupting Western Digital M.2 SSD drives as well as a BIOS update. I’m going to try updating EVERYTHING as it all just hit me at the same time. I doubt this will fix anything but if I’m wrong I’ll happily take it lol. I’ll update soon. Wondering if anyone else has the same MB and CPU on a 3090 setup. Also, my memory was stable as hell at 5400 vs 5600Mhz. As I’m running 4 sticks on a dual channel board (yes I know this is stressing the memory controller and yes I know I should be using 2 sticks instead of 4). The memory is corsair vengeance DDR5 rated to 6400 in XMP but XMP is disabled to run the 4 sticks. Stay tuned
  3. So two of your points has nothing to do with the developer or the Herc, then i doesn't see how its relevant for this thread... i thought you had some arguments and reasons to explain it against the upcoming Herc... the feelings you have i am sure a lot of people sympatize and agree, but just relevant for the Herc threads...
  4. Looks like that did the trick (sleighzy) ! I ran both SimAppPro and DCS "without" the admin and it solved the issue immediately. Also, ensured the properties / compatibility boxes were unchecked. Unusual that for years I'd been running it "with" admin with no issues whatsoever - but thankful for the assist.
  5. I set off today with real time and today's date on a mission to the Caucasus and I noticed that September is no longer the green terrain it was until recently, I don't know when this was changed in the updates this year. I think it's time for our team to definitely pay some attention to this standard map, there are some irregularities with the seasons, so we had autumn from October, and snow from December to March, so that March would immediately be a green month, which is also unrealistic. We can all see that September is not yet yellow and the leaves are green, especially in the Caucasus, which is a forest-mountain terrain. Any support on the forum would be welcome, because all of us here as a community are helping to improve our shared DCS.
  6. V1.1 released, thanks to @H60MTI for inspiring me to take a second look at it... I found an issue with the right side M134 code... it was using the left side muzzle point connector resulting in the crash to desktop. v1.1 adds the M134s on both sides of the aircraft and provides compatibility with the MH-47 attachments mod by @JinxxDCS... if you want to use both mods, ensure you install the MH-47 attachments mod FIRST. Download links updated in the original post. And a short video showing off M-134s on the CH-47F:
  7. Got 'em, I'd say.
  8. I'd say my focus as of late lies with the F-4E, even though I don't really do all that much with it, and - even if that seems to be rare so far - the Mi-8.
  9. Gotcha. No worries just figured I'd point it out as most of the armor unit ranges are all wrong anyways haha.
  10. I don't entirely agree on that. Would having them find a realistic reaction to every threat at all times with utilizing their specific column make-up, current immediate objectives and surrounding terrain be too much to expect here? Certainly, absolutely. Would it be computationally expensive to have a few more patterns available that could either be selected for a unit in ME or maybe even selected on a limited set of circumstances like 'road travel', 'road travel in urban area', 'off road travel' and 'engaged or stationary'? The first case of affairs, absolutely doable, not a big problem. The second option, probably a bit of work, but definitely feasible as well.
  12. Thank you. All fair and square, but as you already mentioned yourself - it has little to nothing to do with the upcoming C-130 and its creators and is therefore a little misplaced. Other than that I can partly sympathize with your thoughts......
  13. What a labour of love! Can this repaint be applied to the FC version of the sabre?
  14. Und was ist mit der Westdeutschen?
  15. I'm still hoping for Abbottabad Pakistan. Even if it's an isolated island.
  16. Certainly. To be perfectly, honest, little of it has to do with the upcoming C-130J module in itself, and as such it might be a little unfair on my part, but the fact is that a little bit of hyping up wouldn't be amiss. 1. The only bit that is in your field here, is that I increasingly can't shake the thought that I would have much preferred an earlier C-130 model. One with the steam gauges cockpit instead of being mostly screens. It is a bit late to bring that up, I am aware. Also, mostly personal preference, I'm sure the majority of the community appreciates the 'latest and greatest possible' approach. 2. This has nothing to do with your efforts at all, but there is the whole Razbam situation. People who take interest in those proceedings might have noticed that the 'discussion thread' has changed modes from being archived and then restarted every now and then to 'purge entirely and lock it up'. Everyone is of course entitled to form their own opinions, but I have a quite firm one on why that happened then, and it does not bode well. (I shall not elaborate further on that because it is off-topic and also will get this post deleted for sure) 3. Again, nothing you can do here, but another onset of general DCS fatigue. Or maybe ED fatigue? Lots of little things that irk and annoy me and worst of all is how much mere questions are treated as complaints, valid complaints as unreasonable hate, and stern criticism as heresy around here. That is, if any official reply happens at all. And no, this is in no way meant to be directed at anybody here personally, I am convinced the problem lies further in the management. Again, I am aware there isn't a lot to be done on your end about any of this. On the whole I am glad to say that I am still looking forward to the C-130J module and, to be honest, I am firmly convinced that it'll be a success. My whole point was supposed to be that my personal excitement level sure could get boosted with a few nice screenshots again sometime soon.
  17. This helicopter will be flying in BSD without any doubt. We're ready when you are.
  18. Best to record a track file and post it so we can take a look
  19. Die ostdeutsche, ja.
  20. Hhmm, there should be. Keep pressing the Down arrow button. You'll go below WPT0, through the 9 Mark points (M9->M1), then you should hit WPT59. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
  21. Admittedly though, I'd love another teaser or influencer preview-video, too.
  22. Does that mean we're not getting the 57mm rocket pods (MARS II from Polish production)? I was hoping they would be an option. Only the pylons were permanent by the way, the pods themselves could be mounted and dismounted for each flight as required.
  23. Updated Link Above. User File need to wait quite long time to "active".
  24. Yeah - i so hyped even the wife now knows there are coming a Hercules and i will be "un-available" the first days of release
  25. Today
  26. Thanks for the feedback!
  27. Oh Man... it seems you just stepped into the huge pit of immersion addiction. I know what I am talking about Here are a few more things that can drive one much deeper into that particular addiction. 1. Hand tracking 2. Force feedback 3. 6 DOF motion platform 1 and 2 I have in place already. 3 will come some day. For hand tracking I use an Ultraleap Leap 2 tracking camera mounted to the Pico 4 Headset. Can you imagine to flick switches in the cockpit just with your fingers? That's what I do with my left hand, e.g. to enter frequencies via the UFC. On the right hand I wear a finger mouse and get a small cross where I point my finger. The finger mouse allows the use of the mouse wheel for rotary controllers such as the DDIs brightness knobs . And with both mouse button one can switch forth and back on rotary switches like the radar mode switch. DCS provides some options to set it up accordingly. There is just one issue. Sometimes your hand is tracked and something gets activated, but you don't know it. And suddendly you are bailed out of the Hornet, because you rested your hand on your thigh... And, your simpit should be rather spacy to prevent that you throw your hand into something. After the first flights with the brilliant Heatblur F4 Phantom module, I felt the need to be able to trim as it works in real analog planes. With no feedback a proper trim is rather hard to achieve. So I bought a Moza AB9 force feedback base. Now, I can feel the planes behaviour. And, it rumbles pretty well, so I dont feel the need for a shaker. Furthermore, flying helos is so much easier now. Next level and already planned is a 6 DOF motion platform... Just need to find some arguments for my wife why I can't live without Cheers
