  1. Past hour
  2. More callouts for missiles like that would be great. Would they have called it "pitbull" in the Tomcat or would Jester have been more likely to say "First ones active...Second missile went active...Thirds active...Fourth, they're all active now."
  3. I think you misunderstood me… I’m talking about the spinning mirrors for the HMD system
  4. You start up the engines to run all your checks. When all that is done, you shut down the engines again so as not to sit and burn fuel in the parking area. All your instruments will stay powered on by the external power.
  5. The DAP versions DO have a swing down reticle. It's attached up in the greenhouse area where the hand hold is. I wish I had pictures of it still but the computer they were on; about 30 pics of a DAP while I was in Iraq; but that laptop was stolen I did Google it and attached a couple of photos that show the flip down reticle.
  6. I have the same issue. Specifically for the gun effect. Did you solve the issue?
  7. My bad, guys — I totally forgot to mention that information! I am using those units, and I'm also within the correct distance, but I keep getting the message: "Ground crew: no can do, we don't have this in stock." I'm attaching a screenshot, the .miz file, and another screenshot showing the final result.null FOB SPAWN TEST.miz
  8. I noticed similar problem but in later missions. That's very weird even with RTX 5090 and 9800X3D I cannot reach these 75 FPS on some missions at the end of the campaign. I remember when I was creating a mission myself and with even nearly empty map some combination caused the FPS to drop significantly so that's rather a DCS bug.
  9. Today
  10. This update is a Very Nice Surprise thankyou for all the creative work. Winter textures will be like having a new Map to play with. " Harsh cold winter " textures create a great atmosphere for the Map. Another exciting thing is i can now create some nice winter textures for my Normandy and London Trains and of course the Krupp K5 Leopold. Great Work Thankyou !
  11. OK. I have the PSVR2 now. My first impressions are that it is not very well made compared to the Quest Pro, Rift S and Pico 4. It feels quite cheap and flimsy. That is not a deal breaker so far. It is actually quite comfortable to wear and has some intuitive adjustments. And it is lightweight. In terms of performance I cannot yet comment. I have spent about an hour and a half trying to get DCS to run in VR. Steam VR is running but it DCS just opens in flat screen mode. I have removed the Meta app. I will post some log files tomorrow. I have had enough for tonight. Time now for brandy!
  12. I don't know why he keeps posting that "data", it's info from some other game that's rather obviously inaccurate in several places. It's not historical data and it doesn't actually bring anything useful into discussion. I hope we get both B and C. The differences between variants weren't quite as big on the Zero as they were on other aircraft.
  13. You're free to DM a community manager here to confirm. Razbam did have access to many difficult to get things, regardless of 'looks'. Still their module turned out to be phenomenal on later years.
  14. Perhaps the INS drift is being modeled for the SPI cursor in the HUD/HMCS display, but is not being modeled for the TGP? That doesn't really jive with my experience, but it seems possible based on what yall are describing?
  15. Picture this. I'm hovering all sneaky at 20-30 feet. I switch from the the backseat over to the CPG seat in the Kola map (seen this in Germany as well) and we instantly bob up to 100 feet. Attaching a track file and a video file. Video at altitude bug.trk
  16. I'm trying to use Reshade with Quest 3 and virtual desktop. How can I bring the Reshade overlay up in VR? Trying to figure out why every map has a thick, circular haze ring when I have Haze set to Zero in Reshade.

fixing now, if this is correct
  19. Sorry I've been away for a few days....sounds like you have found the problem. I did confirm the above and I also tried wasing to rockets on the landing pad upon startup, rather than after firing the hellfires in battle, and I crashed 3 minutes into the mission. I also played a couple other missions in the campaign with no problems at all but I haven't checked yet to see what type of rockets they were... I will do that. Thanks for all the perseverance!! You guys are great!!
  20. I took this in Medellin Colombia in 2021. I was there the same time some jets from Shaw were there.
  21. Just one of the C-130 people sitting here and waiting for any smidge of a hint of a whiff of news.
  22. They have a list of recommended WiFi hardware on the virtual desktop discord. It might be worthwhile to check in there and see what your options are. If I recall correctly, you want something capable of WiFi 6E or WiFi 7, as well as 2.5 gigabit ethernet ports connecting your PC to your router, with the router broadcasting as closely as possible, ideally with line of sight to your headset. Assuming you don't have any interference or other issues, you should be able to achieve a really smooth and low latency wireless experience. It's never going to be quite as responsive as something with a dedicated DP connection, but you should be able to achieve or surpass the responsiveness you get by connecting via the USB link cable. With regards to the visual quality, it's hard to say without knowing more about your hardware. In virtual desktop you get the best image quality by super-sampling (eg. selecting "God Like" resolution). If your GPU can push the resolution while maintaining at least 72hz, I think that would be the ideal scenario, and you won't have to worry about SSW, but it will also depend on your CPU and your in-game graphical settings. For more clarity you're also not going to want any DLSS or DLAA in DCS itself, but again, depending on your set up this might be hard to push while maintaining your desired frame times. Sadly, even with an ideal setup, you will always suffer a bit from compression with the Q3 and PC VR. You can try out AV1 10 bit encoding, if your GPU hardware encoder allows, and you will see some smoother color gradients, but the processing overhead is a bit more than H264+, and as such, you won't be able to push the bitrates up as high, so might see more compression artifacts close to the ground with lots of motion. H264+ will probably do a bit better with lots of motion but suffers a bit more with color banding. Hope some of this helps. The optics on the headset are stellar, and it's just such a shame that it's kind of hamstrung for PC VR by the lack of DP connection.
  23. Thx for hard work!

  25. Hello, Sorry for the dumb question, but I haven't been able to find a clear answer to this in a while. Now that I'm playing more with the internal cargo feature, I've become more curious to learn what it measures. The EPR gauge on the bottom left area of the pilot instrument panel is named in the manual as the Engine Pressure Radio instrument (#2 in picture). Is "radio" a typo, or is it meant to be "ratio"? Also, am I correct in assuming the instrument is measuring the same thing as engine torque (expressed in percentage of total), with the red bugs indicating some sort of maximum for the current conditions? Also, why are there three separate red bugs? Any help understanding this instrument is greatly appreciated!
