If it is inherently not designed to overspill as you say, then I doubt ED would take the trouble to model such a thing. Time will give us the answers, though.

I see. Its not unusual for DCS AI being focussed on one objective to the point where it ignores everything else, but that should be fixed for sure^^ Maybe its one of those software bug things: The supernatural flight capabilities either concealed other AI problems like the one you describe, or were used as a bandaid to put an indefinity temporary fix to problematic behaviours. I hope this improvement kicks off some more AI reworks, generally I think the Mig-21 flight model changes made the AI fights (both PvE and EvE) a LOT more interesting and believable.

Ich habe 3 physische Winwing MFD inkl. Display welche ich in meinem FA18 Cockpit nutze. Nun habe ich eine Quest 3 gekauft und starte DCS über die VR-Brille und den VirtualDesktop. Damit ich mein physisches Cockpit sehe, habe ich mit der Software OpenKneeboard den gesamten Bereich meiner Flug-Instrumente im Passthrough-Modus bedienbar gemacht. Das Funktioniert ohne Probleme. Wo ich jetzt anstehe ist: Ich sehe auf den physischen MFD Instrumenten Display jeweils nur einen weiteren Windows 11 Bildschirm. Ohne VR-Brille mache ich das Setup über die SimAppPro Software und dort geht es bestens. Aber wie projiziere ich die 3 MFD Bilder auf die physischen Instrument Display, damit ich die Screens der FA18 durch das VR-Passthrough-Mode auch wirklich sehe.

Now that is someone dedicated to bringing us some beautiful sceneries in DCS World. I would never imagine doing more of my day job as a side gig afterward. Thank you Specter for this level of dedication, which we all get to enjoy when flying through those maps.

Obviously he can join because of the Required Modules List which does not inhibit it. Thats why he sees a Su-27 instead of the Bronco. But anyway he needs the Bronco mod being installed to see an actual Bronco in the mission. Cheers, mb.

If the HUD and TGP pointers are not in the same place that implies that the plane knows that the HUD and TGP are pointing at different locations which seems weird to me.

Has no propper "modern" UK, Argentia and Chilean units.

It was further developed to VTAS II and III and even tested on the F-14A, but to be more useful, it required development of new high off-boresight missiles. In the end, the Navy decided to shift their missiles development funds elsewhere based on tests, tactical considerations and available budget (the primary limiting factor as always). If they had known in advance the Soviets would field such a system on the MiG-29 and Su-27, I guess they might have given it a higher priority.

So here’s a question for the techies among us. If I make a multiplayer FAC mission with the Bronco mod for example, does the other player need to have the complete OV-10 module installed as well in order to see the actual Bronco skin in the multiplayer game, or is it possible for him just to save only the Bronco skins themselves in a folder somewhere and the Bronco skin will appear correct in the game, instead of the standard DCS SU-27 skin?

Do you guys use OneDrive by chance, for instance to store your user profile (and with that your saved games folder)? The error code is a OneDrive error which looks like whenever you try to join, there's an error retrieving data from onedrive.

The commands you have highlighted are for the mouse only. For your throttle you need to bind "HOTAS Slew Horizontal" and "HOTAS Slew Vertical".

Which of the existing warbirds should the Hellcat be most similar to with realistic modelling? Just curious as I love the P-47 and I see a lot of similarity between the two birds in terms of specs and design.

It's because the assets in my mod packs doesn't have a Level Of Detail (LOD) configuration. Using this technique the models will be replaced with ones with much less polygons the further away they are. Without LODs your computer will have to calculate the max poly version of the asset regardless of the distance to you. My core DCS assets all have LODs, and I'm currently adding it to the mod packs also, but it'll take a while before it will be done to all of them.
