if you have a strong pc, the invest is somewhat manageble. I think 500 EUR is something one should be able to afford for a hobby. I biker can barely pay his injurance with such a sum. But if your PC is an outdated core i7 6600k with a 1080 like my old one, you will have to invest much more. I did update my PC last year for around 2500 EUR. But this was not because of DCS. It was just time to invest again after nearly 10 years. So the step for me was quite small. Maybe you can ask your daughters boyfriend if he visits you with his headset und you try to set it up and look how it runs?

I really do appreciate what sort of scale you are dealing with and that it is not something that can simply be pulled out of thin air. Besides, I am always happy to wait for an awesome product as opposed to the AAA gaming experience of rolling out incomplete, and sometimes outright broken, content where the gamers effectively become the QA department. Ich hab den Mod aktuell nicht installiert, aber wenn es kein Nose Wheel Steering / Power Steering oder ähnliches gibt, dann steuert man am Boden vermutlich mit differentiellem Bremsen. Was meinst du damit? Einen Overhead Break? "bremsen" ist "to brake". Soweit ich mich erinnere ging das mit ein bisschen Übung recht gut - vorausgesetzt, man hat Ruder mit Bremspedalen. Ohne Achse kann man vermutlich nur die rechte/linke Bremse kurz und häufig antippen, um das gewünschte Ergebnis zu erzielen, aber das ist dann in der Tat recht schwierig.

Bumping this just to demonstrate the urgency of adding Wittmund, Jever and Oldenburg (among others!!!) to the CWG map. If Ugra has to drop other airbases for Wittmund, Jever and Oldenburg, I'd suggest dropping Diepholz from the phase 3 list, as this airbase was less important in the general context of the CW and the airframes we have or will get in DCS. There might be other airbases, and certainly some smaller airfields on the long phase 3 list that are also of less importance that could be traded in favor of very important and well-known airbases...

Had my very first VR experience about a week ago. My daughter's boyfriend has a nice racing simpit and he set it up for me. For a solid ten-minutes I just sat there looking around and trying to touch my VR arms that were on the steering wheel. After a while he's telling me the car actually moves and I can drive around if I want to. Then I spent another ten-minutes watching a helicopter fly around the track and all I could think of was what VR choppers must be like in DCS. I still hadn't moved the car. Between the price, the complexity, and the possible barfing, I'm hesitant to buy in, but it sure it impressive. The VR guys who have everything dialed in must be having some glorious flights.

I can't really say, but sergios jetpad/jetseat was the first product i found and i bought mine like 10 years ago. There was nothing else execpt buttkicker or similar products with transducers and those where quite over my budget. I saw that the price increased but i paid for my first one around 200-250 with delivery. Only thing i really can say is that it's quite easy with the newer edition to swap out bad motors or replace broken cables. The shop is broken since the start of the war and the sanctions, but you can email him and ask about anything. He is a really nice guy and he does really quick support if something happens. I had like 3 complete sets but only one working connection cable at some point and wanted to order just a new cable, till sergio told me i should try to reflash the device and all 3 cables are working again.

True. I have searched a little bit and since on the simshaker shop the actual product is not available I had a look at the next level hf8 pro. my fingers are itching. Hey thanks, now I found the link in the shop. Very uncomfortable shop... Is the jetpad the holy grail? Over 322 EUR is a lot and the HF8 pro comes around 280 EUR. So is there a reason to go for the russian high prize product instead?

Difference in RCS might be because AGM-84D has its engine inside of the main body, while here you have it on the outside pod which for is not stealthy at all.

Sadly I think cfrag is taking a break due to recent changes to dcs core.

Dude you totally need the Hornet Grip! This crazy setup and then a Viper Grip??? A friend of mine also had that issue with the F16 ICP dobber. He fixed it himself, don´t know if he had contacted teh customer support at all, but it seems to be a weak point and I admit they allready know at WW. So the reaction is absolute nonsence. Very bad decission making from a economic point of view.

I think that your body & mind gets mixed signals if you use a motion rig with a monitor.

Wow...not what I would expect, simply because some of the Pimax Super's demo videos showed crystal-clear night flying, albeit in other simulations.

I am in the same situation, still awaiting my headset and absolutely no software installed other than base simulators (DCS, BMS, MSFS); that said, this is promising info. Thanks!

Yeah I don't understand it. For some everything's fine. I don't have a fresh Win11 install (but it's basically stock settings) and I have both Meta Oculus and Virtual Desktop installed. Might be it.
