  2. In my DCS/Mods/Aircraft folder, I have 2 F-5E related folders, i.e. 'F-5E' and 'F-5E 2024'. Yet, in Saved Games, etc. there is still just the one - F-5E. Is it safe to delete the F-5E folder in Mods/Aircraft? As things stand, I get 2 x missions showing in DCS.
  3. Taking the Risk Estimate Distances from official docs like the JFIRE is certainly the best way to answer your question. 10% PI and 0,1% PI were the two common thresholds in the past. You'll see that later versions use new references with 0.1% PI standing/prone/prone protected. You'll note also that values changed along time, taking into account newer studies and operational experience. In any case, it will give you realistic values for all types of western weapons effects.
  4. Been away form the Hornet for a long time and wanted to get back into it. So, I decided to have a refresher and go back over the Training Missions. Pretty sure there used to be a couple of Maverick TMs which I don't see any more. Were they removed?

  6. I think weather vaning due to wind on the ground is too strong when taxiing. It is almost impossible to turn away from the wind (even with diffential braking and power), then the fuselage will snap around. Either that, or the tail wheel castering is not loose enough. Cheers!   8. The engine management has obviously become more complex, and the early access guide does not provide good guidance on this subject. The "Enable Water Injection" switch is working now, but again, no guidance. I'm not flying the Corsair in air combat for now, as I have no clue how to keep the engine from just going on strike, and I'm a bit spoiled from flying the German birds.. However, I have no problem with turning left or right on the deck. I use the axis bindings for left and right wheel brakes, but I also tried with pushbutton commands. No problem here. I just tried again to be sure. If you can't left-turn with the brakes, that means you will do a pirouette like an ice skater when you hit the brakes after touchdown. Is that so? Do you use axis or button bindings for brakes?

  10. I'm no noob when it comes to using the Warbirds in DCS. I've had Lock On or LOMAC since 2003, and I was one of the idiots to go into the Go fund me for the initial warbirds. I learned really early (day one) the Corsair was touchy when it came to overheating. I have treated it like I do the Jug, except I can close the cowls on the Jug and and leave the Oil-cooler and Inter-cooler in neutral, and fly like my hair was on fire, if I had any. So I started doing the same thing with the Corsair, except I usually leave the Cowl flaps at 50% and set the Oil Cooler and Inter-cooler radiators to 50% like I do the Jug, and I never overheated. And all of my gauges were in the green when the engine stopped, I paused the game and looked at them when it seized up twice and the one time I thought I had ran out of fuel in the first 5 minutes of the flight with the engine windmilling. I normally fly at 2300 to 2400 RPM, and 35-45"MP. I hardly ever break the MilPwr throttle wire, there was just no need for it, unless I needed to expedite a One Pass, Haul Ass escape maneuver.

  15. We can add this to all the other stuff I don't understand about the AJS-37. I get that it's essentially a late 1960s jet with upgrades. I can understand things like lack of a gunpod, but the weird rockets and the lack of internal countermeasures surprises me.

  19. A little bit more I shall add: It can shot down lofted munition from 1 nm distance. Instant launch. So, lofting isn't the solution either. However, Tor-M2 can be destroyed by setting impact angle for JDAMs up to 80-85 degrees. It will penetrate successfully and hit the radar dead zone. Requires to drop from 42000+ ft though.

Попробую дать ответ ещё раз: прочитай короткую заметку об известных проблемах с ливреями (в том числе Ми-28) на русском языке в новостном разделе сайта, списки изменений. А потом проведи повторную оценку адекватности и порядочности своего первоначального вопроса про пропавшие звезды.

  23. I've got a WW Super Taurus, the Afterburner detente on it stops just before the Corsairs throttle breaks the Military Power wire. Before this last update I never needed to break that wire to take off, or execute most of the mission. All three times my engine quit I had never gone into MILPWR. 2400-2300 RPM and 30 to 45 MP... Cowls around 50%, oil and intercooler at 50% (just like the Jugs Neutral). I had heard lots of complaints about taxing but I always had to be careful not to use too much differential breaking or it would turn way to fast. Now it will not turn left at all while trying to taxi on shore, it'll still do donuts turning right. In case your wondering most of my tests were from the boat, just go straight. I put her on the elevator and she'll be a Hangar Bay Queen for a while.
  24. @BIGNEWY BigNewy, appreciate all the feedback. With the new cargo stuff starting to come online and all the high fidelity helos rolling out, does ED have any interest or plans to go back and update the Huey to todays Helo standards?
  25. Меня больше удивляет сильно урезанный функционал CH модов. В оригинале, например, у Панциря и Тора была возможность играть за стрелка ( хоть и с ограничениями). Теперь, Панцирь, хоть и похорошевший внешне, можно только водить и то, с ужасным видом "от стекла". У БМПТ нет ПТУРов, что вообще нонсенс. Я надеюсь, это всё "временные трудности", ведь ранее CH, в полной мере реализовать моды мешало отсутствие SDK.
