sleighzy started following MFD export in VR possible?
-
Thanks for the tag. Yes - that was what I was "disappointed" with. Even for an early access there are an awful lot of inop panels/buttons. I hope this will all be added down the road.

draconus started following Helmet Visor , Wishlist : a Mig-29K version ? and Training Missions with imperial units
-
The plan is simple for now. If the MiG-29A sells well they'll think about more modern redfor jets.

Hi all, I have checked with the team. DCS calculates illumination not time of day, if the target area is illuminated Petrovich will see targets, of course there are different lighting conditions so it wont always be perfect for spotting targets at night in illuminated areas. Please remember the Mi-24p is not a night attack helicopter. If you still think there is a problem its best to attach short track replays thank you

I not have VR. And Kamov HMS for me also have zoom in/out option. But its not so good as Fulcrum`s because you have to set upset for monocule in spec optiom. It can be helpful for AG ops, when you set upset closer to ground or for AA when you set upset=0. But seems its not very user friendly during flight because you can not tune it in flight. I used tint color from external view, its quite simillar (purple)

Кнопку на руде мрк надимаешь и самолет отклоняет переднюю стойку на большой угол.Независимо от положения закрылков.

I am familiar with imperial units, alright, but it's simply unrealistic to use it for CW WarPac jet. Can somebody check if it works differently when you have DCS russian language set?

I've tried to turn off EPLRS on advance option into AWACS and seem it works..

Throttle idle-off command
andrewd251 replied to 150GCT_Diego's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Each button in dcs has an "on" and "off" assignment. Use button xx as throttle cutoff. Then assign idle to the same button xx_off. Apologies if that doesn't make sense i found it very hard to put in words. -
What's cooking Deka? Talk to me its been a while...
DylanHarris replied to ak22's topic in Deka Ironwork Simulations
Whats! Hey! It’s been a while indeed been experimenting in the kitchen and trying out some new flavors. I recently checked out the jureskogs meny for inspiration, and it gave me some great ideas for simple but tasty dishes. How about you, tried anything interesting to cook lately? -
Thats Amazing!

Helmet/visor should have natural bounds implemented. I suport the wish to stretch it further but only to the possible pilot visibility limits beyond which it simply starts to be black.

Documentation on what was based where during the Cold War
Nealius replied to Agg's topic in DCS: Cold War Germany
I saw Wittstock was a major Fulcrum base for the Soviets, but currently it won't let us park any 29s in the shelters. Or on the ramp. -
Thanks a lot @NineLine You know sometimes i could be a little harsh because my passion with this simulator, but in the end you are always willing to help.

correct as is Engine startup sequence
BIGNEWY replied to Maksim Savelev's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
Hi, thank you for the PM with the other manual information. I asked the team and they have checked their sources for our aircraft, the manual we have is very specific about this. APU goes on idle (not shut-down) for 4 seconds (+ dynamic process to idle and back ~ 3 sec) between engines. Conditions for it: right engine's rpm > 50% OR time > ~40 sec from process beginning. Сonditions for right engine ignition: right engine's rpm < 35% AND time <40 sec from process beginning. We have checked in DCS and it is correct based on our sources for our version of the MiG-29A 9.12A- 1 reply

Yeah, but without zoom and I'm not sure about the color tint.

Correct, and I said I doubt that they will overhaul this systems. But as player I have to ask the question what it will add to my experience. The Campaign AI is the system, they have to develope to make a dynamic war setting and will be the big challange I think, but still the question is, what is it for. To just fly around with AI wingmans that don´t realy have the ability to fight as a team with you against other AI bandits that cannot perform any realistic manouvers? To hear those terrible ATC? I can imagine the awacs making an hours long monoloqe on bogey calls while enemy flights are jumping blindy on everthing that moves because they are unable to make tactic decisions that make any sence. My imagination is not great enough to see the benefit. Without a new bandit AI it would be hard to go on meanigfull sorties with some friends but alone? Only to put things in perspective, in other sims the AI can give you a real challange by applying game plans that force you to go cold before your missile is pitbull and even crossing sides before engangement to distract your flights sorting. They notch and evade missiles and coordinate their attacks. They react on threats by scrambling aditional forces or trick you into sambushes. AI escorts ignore enemy flights that would be in range but don´t threat the flight they are escorting. In the handcraftet campaign the campaign creator sets up the threat picture with tons of triggers and manages the AI behavior as far as possible to make it at least look like a somehow realistic or logic behavior but who will do this in a dynamic campaign?
