  2. Order it here https://www.airplanesimulations.com/products/c-130j
  3. Indeed with the flaps up it works correctly I didn't know that flaps influenced nose wheels Thank you so much for helping me and learning every day
  4. Its been a week or 2 since I last played, im unsure if im just mis-remembering how the process went completely went, but when using JDAM's in TOO (38s to be exact) I thought when you set the QTY and are holding the weapon release it only dropped 4? Its the same saved loadout that I was using before hand so I know nothing changed, but I did what every tutorial said, basically TPOD, TDC depress, step for each pylon, check they all have differently saved data and are on TOO1, then go back to MSN pg and select all pylons on QTY and then just release. Again not sure if im forgetting, but I thought when you held it down weapon release it only dropped the 4 I selected, but this time when I did it just looped back around to pylon 8 and dropped the second 500 pd bomb. Any clarification of if this was an intended update or just user error would be much appreciated.
  5. Those who have been holding their breath for the imminent release are slowly turning blue.
  6. Well put together. This is popular wish for good reasons and you pointed out how it can be implemented with a minimum amount of work necessary. I only have to add that the whole rules-of-engagement issue has only grown in real-life operations in areas like our Syria map.
  7. +1 … I feel the same, its my favorite map for flying with the Mig-21
  8. So is it accurate to require a ground pre-set altitude, instead of radar altimeter, and that's actually how the real thing works? You're saying that it isn't a bug, right?
  9. It doesn’t use radar altimeter. Laser or set “target altitude” if the laser sees nothing, that’s all there is. That’s why it went long, it was aiming the bomb at a lower sea level elevation at a longer slant range. Set target altitude and it should be fine.
  10. I will say that Afghanistan was the only map I've regretted buying on launch. But I will also say that with the recent updates I no longer regret it as ED has definitely improved it considerably since release. Not my most favourite map, but a good one none the less. I also like Sinai and don't agree with all the hate directed at it. Maybe not perfect, but a nice map that I enjoy flying on.
  11. We'd humbly like to ask to see Csákvár Airfield(Hungary) being added to the map. We're even with with it being an inactive airport(just like Kutaisi Int. or Kuboleti Airport in the DCS: Caucasus map)! Coordinates: 47°21'10.4"N 18°25'45.9"E Default role: Inactive / Reserve Airfield Historical context: In the 1990s, many Hungarian and former Warsaw Pact airfields were kept in reserve status — not officially closed but no longer maintained for active service. Csákvár fits perfectly into that historical pattern. 1991-2001: It was a strategic fallback airfield during the Yugoslav Wars (1991–1999), when Hungary maintained readiness along its southern borders. A potential NATO staging or logistics field in later years, as regional tensions and peacekeeping operations grew in the Balkans. It was a training site for light aircraft and reserve units, reflecting real use of small Eastern European airbases. A partially abandoned but recognizable military airfield, no longer in full service but still visible and usable for emergency landings, helicopter operations, or as a mission background. Possible future in-game use: Adds authenticity and realism to the outer map area. Can be featured in cutscenes or ambient missions (e.g., emergency landing site, secret meeting, rescue). Functions as a backup base for missions that take place near the map’s edge. Perfect as a VFR navigation point for low-level or reconnaissance flights. Ideal for aerobatic or cinematic flyovers, or practice. +It's our aerobatic display team's home airbase
  12. Answer, are yours flaps up? The lock button only increases steering gain if the flaps are up. Flaps Down it won’t work
  13. The plane runs out of room to maneuver
  14. hello Is the button that allows the NWS steering wheel to be rotated so that the aircraft has more turn in less space on the runway to turn when I activate the NWS and turn the plane with the pedals, the nose steering wheel does not rotate more than normal, i.e. the NWS does not work for example, there are airports that to get from the hangar to the runway you have to turn the plane almost without moving and since the NWS does not work, the plane does not turn enough and ends up colliding with an object
  15. That looks phenomenal. Would be great to get some more realistic-looking lightning
  19. Where is this manual, when I go to download nothing happens.
  20. I attacked the same target in practice about 10 times and now I'm trying to remember the situations I ran??? In all that I've tried I've turned the laser on at the commencement of the run. In the screenshots above, I was doing what I understand to be Dive Toss, and flew roughly a very spread out U pattern on the bombing run (no more than 30-40 degree dive or climb) with the bomb coming off somewhere before the inflection point as I was pulling upwards towards the aiming cue. The target altitude was 560m and I thought my release altitude was between 2500m and 3000m asl. Maybe it was lower or higher, but I don't know, because I was just doing it by eye until the bombs dropped. Although I think the second cropped screenshot I provided might be a little of an optical illusion with the bomb going out in front of me, I'm not sure that it didn't. It was a good Toss. I repeated this a few times and was getting tossing good results almost always. Before that I tried to do just glide bombing in CCRP mode, which means I designated the target and then tried to keep it as steady as possible until the weapons release. that was pretty good accuracy if I recall. Then I tried to do something that was akin to the Phantom's "Laydown" mode. I'm sure F-4 nerds will correct me if I'm wrong, but you basically designate the target from afar, and then you fly about level to the drop point. In the case of the Phantom, yes, I'm pretty sure it does involve the person in back inputting the target altitude. But I thought the MiG-29 used some pythagorean means to deduce the slant range, and you're saying it doesn't perhaps because it can't factor in the radar altimeter in that calculation? In that profile, although I had the laser on, I don't think the laser was ever either in range or in elevation parameters to ever range the target. Each time I tried to do a level bombing profile, I missed wildly long.
  21. I am confused as to where you got the idea that the walk around feature was required? The feature is that: you can, if you want, walk around outside of the airplane. You can walk in the cargo bay, etc. There is zero requirement that you ever do any of these activities.
  22. Hey Hawkeye, Just installed these Fletchers for escort duty on the new USS Essex. Beautiful mdl.'s. Punchlist: USS Cassin Young - shows up in the load screen, but is a no-show on the map in mission. USS Johnson - has an issue w/ the radar antenna. Thanks for the option of Big/small/none flag. Deleted the OEM DCS steam ship exhaust - looks much better. (The barker exhaust of the past looked pretty good.) Will trying out the USS Iowa Class, in lue of a light cruiser. Thanks for the work. Just outstanding. Bowie
  23. I ask for "LIPX Verona Villafranca" as it was very important airport during 1993-1999 operations and base for the 3rd Wing of the Italian Air Force. I know it is located on the "low fidelity zone" but i highly suggest you to consider it for the future, maybe even after EA.
  24. Ok, as you pointed out, there is a noticeable slit (white area) between canopy and cockpit.
  25. Thanks for posting Bowie. I always knew there was something wonky about the DCS Mustang rudder response but didn't know how to "fix" it until I saw your post. I decided to take a little more incremental approach than you did. I kept everything at the default settings, set my dead zone, then slid the curvature slider over to 33%. I don't have any justification for why 33 other than TLAR (That Looks About Right)! She flies much better now and better mirrors what I remember when I bought a real Mustang flight years ago. I'll keep tinkering but am very satisfied so far. Thanks!
  26. Hello, I'm joining the request. It's very important for multiplayer services.
  27. Hey @mbucchia, Are there any findings or news regarding the crosseyed phenomenon? Unfortunately, I'm severely affected by the (distortion) crosseyed "bug". I painstakingly built a new PC over the past few weeks. And now, finally ready for the G2 again... forget it. Adjusting the distortion correction right slider only makes it slightly better, going from instantly nauseating to "just" eye strain and a cross-eyed view. I'm used to a lot after almost 5 years with the G2, and it felt like a second living roomfor me. But now it's really stressful and practically unusable. I also have slight artifacts at the bottom edge of the lenses, that i've never seen before, but that wouldn't be a big deal.
