No point. It will just be back during the next update. Just forget about it and let the Updater remove it when the time comes. [emoji6] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

Yep, completely true - I'm not aware of any changes in the waveform of the 5N62 when tracking a target or when firing a missile and I even believe missiles can be guided to targets in any of its modes (either monochromatic CW, or the phase or frequency modulated modes). Hell, I'm pretty sure its the same waveform in its acquisition modes as well (though there'll be a change in dwell time there). The only other thing is the missile downlink (which I assume is telemetric or just to provide operators with an indication of how the intercept is proceeding/time to impact etc), but I'm not confident RWRs will be able to detect this (it would likely depend on the radiation pattern of the downlink transmitter on the missile and its power). Rest I agree with, though looking at the manual, it seems the only SARH system that provides launch warning is the SA-6 - everything else is command guided (or at least is command-guided at launch and in the midcourse phase with the SA-10 and SA-N-6, then again, the system doesn't detect the SA-N-20 according to the manual, I'm not sure why if it can detect SA-10 and SA-N-6).

I regret because i don´t have money for all the maps, so i have to choose wisely. i see other maps and mountains, mesh and textures looks so good... But the area of Kola was more interesting to me and thats why i pre buy it. Leson learned, no more pre buy early access.

Ok, thanks Iranian cats didn't have external tanks so for me (I usually build story missions) it's not a problem but I can understand why it might be a handicap for other users.

I have tried once and it works, but without RSBN is still not worth the wait. The procedure is not in the game manual, and i'm not 100% sure, i was looking on the German AF manual i bought long ago, but it was not 100% clear to me there as well, IIRC i had to wait 15-20 minutes before flipping the switch to OPER, actually i think switched it when the NAV READY indication was lit. IRL there are some delays to apply if you switch from FAST to LONG align, but i haven't tested them.

Ive asked the team to up the priority on removing the old mt-bin folder. thanks

+1 for this, I really hope this fix is included, I hate the complexity of setting up VR properly for DCS and this is just one more thing!

Bombing solution seems to use Barometric Altitude only

Yeah, i always used metric units in russian birds, not really used to knots/feets with them. I switched to english pit as it's easier to learn the controls as i don't speak russian, now that i'm familiar with all the switches it will be the same. If i have some time today i will try it. -
It might have been a matter of having the radio set correctly to the tanker. Thank you very much for this as this answers many questions. And as always HB didn't care to take 10 seconds to just paste it into our forum. This is a good thing. Weapons are and should be a core feature of DCS. Having it in hands of 3rd parties was a mess. Found a bit more than that: old style instrument arrangement on the right panel, from up to down: G-meter, radio indicator, clock, oxygen TACAN CMD white cube button on the left console

Yes I know. iI’s more about to know about what it’s modeled, what is WiP, what will be not implemented… Thanks.

Cancel, I had started the update the third time this morning and went to my PC after BigN asked for the log file and guess what, it was updating fine. Now installed and working great. All very strange but all's well that ends well. Thanks for the help, and apologies for wasting your time. Grant.

Of course, armor penetration and its effectiveness depend on various factors. Simulating that isn't relevant for DCS, though. I think 9 hits for an old tank is too many. The RPG is a versatile and dangerous weapon if it hits the right spot with the right warhead. It would, of course, be nice if we had more choice in terms of infantry and weapons.

The difference is 4% distance travelled error and 1.5 degree heading deviation per hour for fast align/dead reckoning mode, and 8 km distance error + 1 degree heading deviation for long align/INS mode. Not sure how worth it that difference is

Most certainly, but it would also be good to get the modules we've already got polished up first as well!! With each update they seem to lose bits here and there, like an old car...
